"You shouldn't have lived! Kill yourself!" "A mere daughter of a witch is an abomination in our race!" Dalia heard that every day since she moved to the Silver pack. She can't fight back because her father and mother are already dead. "My suffering and loneliness will end soon," She utters every night as Dalia approaches the right age where her mate given by the Goddess of the Moon will be identified. "Dalia Michaelson, I reject you as my mate! Now get lost!" Tyler Smith-next Alpha of the Silver pack exclaimed. Dalia's remaining hope crumbled along with the flow of her tears. "I will come back, and all those who oppressed me will pay! Especially you, Tyler Smith!" Delia promises and pleads.
Dalia's Pov,
"Your parents are worthless, and so do you!"
Two consecutive slaps landed on both my cheeks, causing my eyes to narrow, but I stood still.
"That's not true! You don't know what happened!" I exclaimed. I wanted to cry, but I still restrained myself. For several
years I have suffered from the oppressions of the whole pack because of my parents.
A powerful kick hit my stomach, causing me to kneel and writhe in pain.
"You're still denying? Your mother is a witch, a mortal enemy of wolves!"
"My parents can't choose what race they are. My mother didn't do anything against the pack!" I try to reason to Eunice.
"You're pathetic! Being a witch is one of your mother's offenses! And one of her biggest sins is to give birth to you!"
I could not answer because I had received a series of smacks from Eunice and three of her companions.
"Please stop!" I pleaded in a weak voice, but the group continued the attack on me.
"Die, you bitch!"
These are the last words I heard before I fainted. I just woke up in a dark place.
I let out a long sigh. At the same time, I was digging up my belongings scattered on the floor. This treatment is not new to me; since the death of my father and mother, my life has become hell.
I am Dalia Michaelson, the only child of former Alpha of the Silver pack Leo Michaelson, who had a witch mate Sandra Michaelson.
The witches and the wolves have been mortal enemies for a hundred years, so both races can not accept my parents' relationship.
The Silver Pack removed my father as their Alpha and exiled him from the district.
While the witches community wanted my mother back to their clan because she was the next leader in the covenant, she refused the witches' request and went with my father, and together they lived in the mountains.
My parents had a joyful life, and they got even happier when I came into their lives.
They raised me in a simple life. Although the Silver pack expelled my father, his Beta- Alfonso, remains a friend to him.
"Be patient, Dalia; you'll find your mate... The moment he arrives, you won't be alone," I mutter to myself. I stood up and tried to open the door, but as I expected, it was locked.
"It looks like I'm going to sleep here again," I whispered, full of grief.
Luckily it's not winter season yet, so that I won't shiver.
"I hope the school security guard arrives early in the morning so I can get out as soon as possible," I prayed. I still had to wash the clothes of the whole pack.
-----
"Damn it!" Tyler exclaimed. He was looking for his jersey but couldn't find it anywhere. Even the other clothes he wore last week are not in the drawer.
"What is the servant doing, and until now, my clothes are not here!" Annoyed, he wore his old underwear and shorts.
He quickly went to the laundry area to find the clothes. But when Tyler arrived there, he did not find a single servant.
"Fu*k!" He curses again. He was forced to go inside to find his clothes. But to his dismay, the clothes were mixed, and Tyler didn't know if it was clean or not.
"I'm going to strangle someone!"
Meanwhile, Dalia almost ran to get to the laundry area. She came back at midday because the security guard saw her late. Dalia could not break the door lock because she was sure the school principal would scold her hard.
"Thanks, god, my superior isn't here yet," Dalia exclaimed. Her nervousness was gone and was replaced by a smile as she walked in.
Even though her situation is like that, Dalia is still optimistic and still sees the good side of everything. Like today, because of what happened, she could get the book.
"After I'm done with all my chores, I can read you," Dalia whispered.
As she stared at the title, Dalia was unaware of the man in front of her, "Oww!" she exclaimed. The book and her other belongings fell to the floor.
"Are you the servant here?" Tyler asked, frowning.
"Tyler," Dalia utters when she sees the man's face in front of her.
"You know me?" Dylan asked.
"I'm also a member of the Silver pack, and we all know that you're the next Alpha," Dalia answered, "What are you doing here in the laundry area?" she asked.
"What do you think I'm going to do here? Look at me. I don't have anything to wear anymore because all my clothes are here, and it looks like you have no intention of giving them back to me," Tyler exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, just a moment, and I'll find your clothes," Dalia bewildered answers. She was about to lay the books on the table when Dylan grabbed them.
"So you also love this book ... Go ahead, find my clothes, and make it quick!" Tyler commands and tears a page as a book.
"What are you doing? That book is school resources," Dalia exclaimed and tried to snatch the book, but Tyler was much bigger than her so that she couldn't reach it.
"If that's the case, speed up the search!" Tyler declared.
Dalia stopped snatching the book and quickly searched for Tyler's clothes.
"Make it quick..."
Dalia heard the paper tear again...
"Please stop," She pleaded, but she continued the search.
"Next time, make sure you separate my things from others! Wash my clothes earlier in most packs, do you understand?" Tyler announced.
"I'm sorry, next time, I will make sure your belongings are in order," Dalia pleaded. She quickly picked up the T-shirt seen underneath. She knows Tyler's clothes, so she can still identify his thing even if mixed with others.
"Here, can I have the book?" Dalia asked Tyler politely while handed the T-shirt.
"You can get this book when you've brought all my clothes to my room in 20 minutes," Tyler answered as he grabbed his shirt from Dalia's hand.
Dalia wanted to cry when Tyler turned around with her book, "The librarian will kill me," she whispered and wasted no more time.
Dalia started looking for the clothes that would be the key to prolonging her life because the librarian in the school is known to be violent.
