Chapter 1 The Kissing

She walked into her office, and slammed the door shut.

She did not care about what was going on in his office.

Alexander was a Cold icy Maniac... Whose job was to rile her up every damn time.

She shut the blinds that connected her office with his.

Alexander De Lucci.. That was her Boss, the cold rude and grumpy guy she has ever seen..

And Shit!! She was working for him.

How bad can her pathetic life be?!

He fúçked everything in skirt.

The blinds were down and she gulped.

How could he be making out in his office.

What if an investor was to work in!!

Those ladies in there were practically touching, and striping him n@ked.

Damn!! Why was his life so dirty and hers was covered too.

She walked to the other blinds and made to shut them when his voice came through the intercom.

"Don't".

She looked up, her eyes peering through the blinds that be sure he wasn't referring to her.

His eyes was intently on hers.

She gulped again, and left the blinds.

Why shouldn't she close it?

So, she would watch the Nonsense he was doing? She hides, and sat down.

Alexander was a Playboy, a jerk, the only ruthless Boss she'd ever worked up.

It had been years since she worked here.

Although it was easy because she had working with his Parents.

Now he has taken over and was acting like an @ss.

Hey. She heard a knock on her door, and a voice followed afterwards.

She sighed, walking to the door and unlocked it.

She was sure it was Phoebe... No one else would dare walk around if not Phoebe.

The girl was crazy!!

I've got a dress that'll look perfect for your slender body. Phoebe, her best friend said... Walking in.h Alexandria, your apartment is next to mine.

So, I know you're alright. Phoebe replied, grinning at her.

Hmph. She huffed.

Hey, just look at this and tell me which one you'd prefer. She said, and she twitched her lips.... Staring at the strapless gowns Phoebe held.

We're not going to a stripping house Phoebe, this dress are too showy. Xandria mumbled, and Phoebe glared at her.

Dearie, this is Mr Alexander's Party not some church conventions. Phoebe said, and Xandria chuckled.

It's not his Party, Phoebe.

It's his Mother's Birthday Party. She mumbled.

But he still gave you a card. Phoebe said again.

Will you stop defending him, Phoebe?

Aaarrgg... You two are making me go crazy. Xandria said, in frustration.

No, I'm not. He's driving you crazy. Phoebe teased, and Xandria smacked her head.

Be quick and go to your Office now. She said, and Phoebe nodded.

Alexander and Alexandria.... Sitting on a tree KISSING. She sang, leaving Xandria's office.

Phoebe stop that, someone might hear you and misunderstand things. She said, and Phoebe winked at her.

She slammed her door shut, and walked to her seat.

Come into my office Now.

"Alexandria" The intercom shook.

Wow! That's some rage there. She mumbled, rolling down the blinds to see if he was done with his mess.

She sighed, seeing the room cleared out.

Alexander was her Boss... The ruthless, cold idoit she hated so much..

The Cold man who made her work her @ss out on her Birthday.

Although he knew about her birthday , he did nothing.

He made her do load of files.

Well she didn't expect him to do anything at all.

Alexandria. He called again, through the intercom.

On my way Boss. She spoke through the mic phone on her ear and mouth.

The last thing she would do is angering him.

The man was a burning Volcano!

She walked out of her office and walked into his.

Xandria sighed, gripping her schedule book closely.

She was his secretary. Or should she say his errand girl?

She stormed her feet into his office and smiled.

Yes Mr De Lucci, you called me. Sje said, still smiling.

Why did you run away that time? He questioned, his voice held no emotion.

Huh? Was it just that?

Wait! Did he expected her to sit down and watch those Nasty things those women were doing to his body??

I did not know, leaving was wrong Sir.

I thought you needed it! She said, her knuckles turning pale white.

Alexandria Mondragon, are you by any chance... Trying to piss me off?

Cause if that's what you're trying to do, it's working. He said coldly, glaring at her.

I'm really sorry Sir, it was intentional.

I promise never to do it again. She begged, as her knees gave way to the floor.

8pm. I want to see you at the Party at exactly 8pm.

One minute late and...

I'll be there. She cut him off quickly.

I'll be there before 8. She Mumbled, and gulped.

Alexander wasn't the kind to bluff, and she knew that.

If he wanted her to be there before 8, there was a reason... why?

But she knew she wouldn't be fired.

But severely punished.

His mother loved her so much, and she would never let him fire her.

Besides... She was also the mother board of the company.

She knew every client by name, every worker and every business deal the company made.

He wouldn't dare fire her. Would he?

She wondered, her head throwing many questions at her.

She heaved a deep breath, when she left his office.

She exhaled and inhaled.. exhaled and inhaled.

Damn!! To work with Alexander, one mustn't stay hungry!!

Cause he would drain every bit on strength off your skin.

She was a fighter and not a Prey.

Xander knew that and had always made a way to break her.

Those women he brought, he was just trying to let her feel the disgust and hatred.

She cleaned a tear that rolled down my eyes. This was cruel, Xander was cruel.

Her phone rang and she picked it up.

Hello. She mumbled.

Hey. Where are you, come out and I'll take you home.

Phoebe is already in the car. That was her male friend, Jackson.

Okay, I'll be out now. She said, and he hanged up.

She hurried to her office and grabbed her small minj bag... Before heading out of the company.

If she was five minutes late down there... Jackson would properly tear her to pieces.

Jackson was her best male friend, he was the one male friend she had tho.

He had a peaceful aura unlike Her Grumpy Boss, Alexander.

She entered the elevator and it took her down.

She got out and walked outside.

Sweetie pie. Jackson smiled, giving her a tight hug.

I thought I was sweetie pie. Phoebe whined in the car.

Xandria chuckled, as he released her.

You're cherry pie, Phoebe. Jackson grinned.

Xandria felt as if she was being watched.

It was just a thought though, but it wouldn't hurt if she turned and checked. Would it?

She turned around and her eyes widened and met Xander's raging eyes.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.
