Shit unexpectedly happens, and there were times it could lead you to a situation where you never wished to be. There were plenty of shitty places, scenarios and mostly shitty people. I am surely aware of how I enjoyed my impecunious and peaceful life. Doing multiple errands, including running some groceries with my neighbors, doing their laundry and babysitting their so-called-babies, which are pets. I exist and was famous for being the 'Jack of all trades' in a small, unpolluted town called Missi. Living in a good-for-one person shabby flat. But all in all, I love how I woke up every morning with my neighbors banging on my door, collecting their money which I earned from working plenty of time for them. Mostly, I enjoyed old Martha's homemade pizza pie which I earned every errands I completed on her. She was living alone, not married nor had any past relationship, at the age of fifty-six. And I had really thought that I would end up like her, alone until I get older. Not until, one of my boring days came and ironically showed this shitty, doppelganger of mine. Offering me something which I quickly agreed without thinking seriously, which also leads me into such a complicated and challenging situation now. I couldn't forget how her broad smile had ruined my poor, boring and busy lifestyle.

Chapter 1 Doppelganger

Saturday was my lucky day, it means I have all the time and energy to do anything. I woke up with a full blast of mood earlier, and was planning to buy some new clothes in the city. It's a mile away from the town I was with, probably a three hours trip. I got my budget lists on the table before I stormed to the bathroom. Maybe I could order plenty of food this time, it's been months since I was saving my money. And it sounded too much and impossible for a 23 year old like me, trying to save money for buying the cheapest car I can afford. By running errands from my neighborhood.

Doing their home chores and so on.

After brushing my teeth I headed to my kitchenette and grabbed some bread with a thin slice of cheese on it. This will keep my stomach warm until I get to the city. I only hope I won't feel nauseated again, the turning of bus' directions last time was making me feel sick. After three times of bite I took a glass of water to the table. I was in the middle of swallowing when I heard a soft knock on my door. And that is weird and new, usually my neighbors just bang on my door and give me other errands to do. But this one was the first time, it's probably some visitors from the next house. I didn't notice I was already walking towards the door, then after opening it, there was this woman who exactly look like -

"What the heck are you!?" I blurted out with my wide eyes. I took a clearer glance at her from head to toe.

"Hi, can I speak to you?" We have the same eye colors, and the same shoulder length hair. But not the way I speak.

"You are already talking to me, and what is happening? Is this real? Or is this some kind of a dream?" I wasn't looking at her, what I was doing was pinching my face to check if I am dreaming.

"This is not a dream, can I get inside? I really need to talk to you about something." I don't really trust her, but I will let her see how shabby and small my house was.

"Get inside, I only hope that we don't share the same name also. This is freaking weird." I saw her take a glance around my living room, which I didn't know if it was a living room to her. She seemed like a wealthy person.

"Thank you, I won't stay long. And I know this is shocking. I was also surprised to see you at the SMH last week." We may have the same physical appearance but we are different from characters, and lifestyle.

"What are you here for then?" I just found it weird and awkward to look at her. I felt like facing and talking with my own reflection. Creepy. But I didn't know I was that good looking, I just realized it now.

"First, my name is Cassandra. I live in the Exclusive village of Villamores, in the city." Alright, she was the wealthy one then. I just couldn't believe I was using the same face as her.

"Are you sure it's inborn? Your face?" Since she had mentioned her luxury home, there might be a chance that she had gone to surgery.

"No, it's my real face. Listen, I only have a few minutes. Please, I will give you anything you want. Just grant me one of your favours," Ah? She's desperate, I wonder what it is about that makes her like that.

" You need my kidney? Heart? or-"

"I need you to replace me." Now I was looking in boredom to her. There's no such thing like that.

"I'm serious. You could have anything you want." She really looks like one also. I didn't know how to respond to her. I was surprised and speechless.

"Look, this is insane. How am I supposed to replace you?" I have my life here and she was in the city.

"You just need to pretend like me, which is easier since we have the same appearance. You could stay in my house and I will deposit a huge amount of money into your bank account." That is interesting, I wouldn't be working so hard and run lots of errands around my neighborhood. I wouldn't be pampering some naughty kids and work 12 hours a day. But there's one problem.

" I don't have any bank account. " I don't even use phone, my life here was simple and easy.

"It's not a problem, I will have my personal assistant to process it. Deal?" Well, I must be dreaming so I will play along with her. There's no way this thing could happen in my real life.

"Fine, when do I start?" I was even excited. And she was too, her broad smile was reaching her eyes. Is that what I really look like when I smile? That's kinda beautiful to witness.

"Alright, first, thank you so much and my assistant will fix you here tomorrow night. You don't need to bring anything, it was all settled and done. I need to go now, once again, thank you." Well that was fast, I didn't even respond to her still. I didn't realize I was already watching her back walking in her direction to the car. She glanced once more time and placed her sweetest smile, I just waved my hand and she got inside. Later on, I was left alone staring into nowhere. Was that even real? It seemed like a quick scenario though. Or was I just hallucinating? I looked back and saw a piece of paper on the table, I didn't notice it was there earlier. Maybe she left it without realizing. Since I was some of those curious cats, I took the paper and read what's been written on it.

"Shit! What just I engaged myself into?"
