Morcant takes on a journey into the woods alongside with his friend. They are curious and have guts. What happens when they are captured by strange men? Will they ever be found?

THE BETA Chapter 1 In the Beginning

His name was Morcant.

He was a young adventurous lad whose desire for adventure could never be quenched. He lived with his parents in Houston, Texas and attended the Central High School. With blonde hair, blue eyes, fairly pointed nose and exclusively pink lips, one could say he was one handsome dude. He was once recommended for modeling to advertise a New york brand but he wasn't interested.

Today he was graduating from high school. Seeing the was he was happy, I e would have thought he had a date that evening which was rampant among graduands. But something else was behind his happiness.

Drawx stood high upon the mountains, watching his pack from a distance. It was joyous. Everyone went about his or her own business. From he, the Alpha to the least, Omega, no one caused chaos. For thirteen years, there hadn't been war.

The meat from the hunt the previous night had been shared that morning among all the families in the pack. Since then, other things that had been done were the cutting of logs and making of clothes.

But he feared.....

He feared that his once peaceful pack will soon become a war ground. He glanced at the scroll in his hand again.

"Lothar!"

"Yes Alpha."

"Announce a meeting for the wolf council."

"Hey Morcant!" Fred greeted.

"Hi what's up?"

"Nothing much." Fred replied. "Just excited."

"Who wouldn't be?" Morcant intoned.

They both walked to the inner most part of the school that housed the event hall. Morcant was dressed in a blue suit and Fred in black.

The cabin was quiet. Everyone was thinking. The wolf council was in distress.

"So what do we do?" Elder Xavier asked.

"I don't know." Drawx said "You know this guy's are tricky, we don't know what plan they'll come up with again."

"They're bastards." A wolf spat. "Why would they want to ruin a whole thirteen years of peace and tranquility." A cough stopped the murmurings. It was from Gwen, the Luna. No one could could question her. Everyone in the pack knew that cough. That cough was enough to silent the whole pack matter how silent it was.

Gwen was next to Drawx in the body of power. She was looking like an Alpha but cos she was female, she was called the Luna. She was in charge of the warriors and was wondering the strongest wolf in the pack. Drawx was mostly in charge of the administrative aspect.

"Since those bars have something up their sleeves,we too won't relax." Gwen said in a authoritative tone. She was more feared than Drawx. Drawx was lenient and free to move with. On the other hand, Gwen was cold and rarely smiled. Her smiles were mostly mischievous. Only a few like Drawx,Elder Xavier and Erica, her friend had seen her smile heartily.

As a pup,she separated herself from others and got joy in boyish plays.

"Okay, we'll recruit new warriors which would include two omegas." Drawx announced and was replied with murmurings.

"An Omega?"

Everyone knew who omegas were. They were the laziest, most useless and cunning wolves. They were weak and had bad habits like sleeping too much. The wolf council knew even one omega would be a liability to the army not to talk of two.

"SILENCE!!!" Drawx roared."That's my decision and it's final."

Everyone became quiet.

Betrayed Bride: Claimed By The Brother

Reilly Mcardle

I arrived at the hotel with Julian's favorite takeout, ready to surprise my fiancé before our big merger. But the moment I swiped the keycard, the silence of the hallway felt heavy and wrong. Inside, a red-soled stiletto lay on the marble floor-the same one I'd watched my best friend Lila try on at Saks last week. Through the cracked bedroom door, I watched Julian's back arch as Lila looked me straight in the eye and smiled, wrapping her legs tighter around him to mock my heartbreak. I fled to the penthouse to hide, only to find Grafton, Julian's "crippled" brother, waiting in the dark. To my horror, the man who was supposed to be paralyzed stood up from his wheelchair, gripped my chin with cold fingers, and forced me to sign a contract that gave him control of my family's shares. He knew about my mother's secret medical bills and used them to buy my silence, effectively turning my life into a calculated game of corporate chess. The betrayal tasted like acid, and the injustice of it all burned in my throat. My fiancé was a liar, my best friend was a thief, and the man now controlling my fate was a predator who had been faking his disability for years. I couldn't understand how everyone I trusted had turned out to be a monster. I was trapped between a man who cheated on me and a man who wanted to own me, with no way out and no one to turn to. But when Julian came looking for me, Grafton didn't hide; he stood tall, looming over me with a possessive glint in his eyes. "Help me destroy Julian," I rasped, realizing that to survive the Faulkner men, I had to become the most dangerous player of them all.

Rum Runner

The first thing I felt was the slow, steady beep of a machine. I opened my eyes to a sterile white ceiling, definitely not my bedroom. A nurse rushed in, dropping her clipboard, whispering, "She' s awake!" Then a doctor: "Mrs. Hayes? Ava? Can you tell me your name?" "Ava Reed... Ava Hayes." "And the year?" "2023. It' s October." Their pitying looks made my skin crawl. "Ava," the doctor said gently, "It' s not 2023." He pointed to a digital screen: July 12, 2038. Fifteen years. Gone. Just like that. The car crash that felt like yesterday had apparently happened a decade and a half ago. My Lily, my four-year-old daughter, would be nineteen. My husband, Ethan… I called him, desperate, finding his contact on a sleek, alien device. A voice answered, but it wasn' t his. It was cold, hollow. "Who is this?" "Ethan? It' s me. It' s Ava." Then, a harsh, bitter laugh. "My wife is dead. She died fifteen years ago. Don' t you dare use her name again." He was about to hang up. "The scar!" I screamed, "Under your left rib, from Miller' s Peak! And Lily… she called her bear 'Sir Reginald Fluffen-Bottom' !" Silence on the line. Then a whisper: "How… how do you know that?" Who was this stranger on the phone? What had happened to my life, my family? I was Ava Reed, a woman robbed of fifteen years. "Because I am your wife, you idiot. Oceanville General, Room 304. Ten minutes." I hung up, a cold, hard knot forming in my stomach. Ethan never showed. Instead, a slick lawyer offered me a hotel, a car, a credit card. I took the car. My daughter. Lily.
