Chapter 1 Caught Cheating And A Scammer Calling
The sounds of passionate moaning could be heard through the door.
"Nelly, break up with Duncan already," the man said excitedly in between breathless pants. "A poor loser like him doesn't deserve you."
"He still has over fifty grand in his bank account. I'll cut him loose once I get the money."
Despite her vicious words, the woman's voice was soft and sweet.
Then, she said in a pleading tone, "Stop talking, honey. Fuck me!"
Outside the door, Duncan Anderson was holding a delicate gift bag in his hand. His handsome face darkened with anger as he listened to what went on inside the room.
He had just returned to his rental apartment from the shopping mall. Today was his third anniversary with his girlfriend, Nelly Brooks.
He had wanted to surprise her, so he got off work earlier than usual.
But he caught his girlfriend cheating on him.
Worse still was the fact that the man in bed with her was his good friend, Renzo Miller.
"You bitch!" Duncan clenched his fists and kicked the door open.
Sure enough, he found Nelly and Renzo in bed, naked and intertwined. Renzo was sucking on the Nelly's nipple just now.
Startled by Duncan's sudden appearance, the couple sat bolt upright hurriedly.
Nelly looked at Duncan in shock. "Why are you back so early?"
Renzo, on the other hand, was in a total panic. He struggled to pull on his clothes in a hurry, intending to run away.
"Fuck you!"
Duncan kicked Renzo back to the bed and quickly locked the door.
Renzo clutched his bruised stomach and shouted angrily, "What the fuck? You fucking kicked me!"
"What the hell were you doing?"
Nelly screamed and helped Renzo up.
Now that Nelly was next to him, Renzo's anger faded. His scowl was soon replaced with a smug smile.
He took this as an opportunity to slip one arm around Nelly's slender waist. His other hand stretched out to wantonly ravage her plump breasts.
"Duncan, you're an idiot.
You've been with Nelly for three years, yet you kept her a virgin.
Do you know how I was able to sleep with her today?
Because I gave her a Louis Vuitton handbag worth five grand!
You know what? She's quite slutty in bed."
Then he threw his head back and laughed loudly, his harsh voice echoing in the bedroom.
"Oh, don't say that. I love you not because of your money."
Nelly pouted coquettishly.
"Seriously? You slept with him just for a handbag?"
Duncan chuckled bitterly.
Then he looked around the bedroom. Finally, he saw the handbag sitting on the bedside table.
He used to be a salesperson of luxury goods, so he could easily tell at a glance that this bag was a fake.
Duncan sighed and shook his head. "You betrayed me for a fake Louise Vuitton? Nelly, you're so pathetic!"
"Fake? Are you fucking blind?
You poor loser, what do you know about designer handbags?
How could Mr. Miller give me a fake?"
Nelly's face contorted with anger and she pointed a trembling finger at Duncan.
"You're an idiot. All Louis Vuittons showcase mixed colors of coffee, while that handbag is just brown.
Why don't you look at the code in the handbag and check Louis Vuitton's website? You'll find out it's a fake soon enough."
The faces of Nelly and Renzo changed at his words.
Nelly immediately rushed to the table and grabbed the bag. After careful observation, her face darkened. She looked for the code and was about to check the website when Renzo stopped her.
"No need to check, Nelly. It's indeed a fake!
Why would I spend a fortune on you?
You're nothing but a slut to me."
Renzo smirked at her complacently.
"You fucking bastard! You lied to me!"
Nelly leaped forward and slapped Renzo on the face.
Then, she turned to look at Duncan with hatred-filled eyes.
"This is all your fault! I've stayed with you for three whole years but you never bought me a Louis Vuitton!"
"You're the one who cheated on me. How the hell is that my fault?"
Duncan looked at his girlfriend in utter disbelief.
As though she was a total stranger to him.
He felt extremely hopeless to see the unreasonable woman before him.
"How ironic! I was supposed to give you this!"
Duncan took a beautifully packaged Louis Vuitton out of the gift bag.
It was the latest piece and was quite popular, worth around fifteen grand.
"Did you forget? Today's our third anniversary! I was going to surprise you."
Then he opened a ring box, revealing a shiny diamond ring nestled inside.
"I even wanted to propose to you to culminate our three years together!"
As he spoke, a few salty tears rolled down his cheeks.
"But today, I finally found out how stupid I was!"
The room fell silent.
When Nelly's eyes landed on the diamond ring, she was stunned.
"The ring must be worth at least twenty-five grand," she muttered under her breath.
She suddenly snorted with disdain, greedily eyeing the ring and the handbag.
'How could Duncan be so stupid?
He probably used all his savings in the bank to buy that ring!
He could've just given me all that money instead! Then I would've given him my virginity!'
Thinking of this, Nelly felt nothing but regret.
Biting her lower lip, she suddenly tried to throw herself into Duncan's arms.
But Duncan acted quick and dodged her. Nelly collapsed to her knees and pleaded, "Darling, I'm sorry! It was all Renzo's fault. He bewitched me. Please forgive me!"
"Fuck off, bitch! You make me sick!"
Duncan snorted with disgust.
Nelly gritted her teeth angrily. Today, she hooked up with someone who only pretended to be rich. Now, she lost quite a fortune.
But she was not going to give up yet, and shouted angrily, "I wanted this bag a month ago! If you had bought it for me at the time, I wouldn't have even thought about sleeping with someone else!"
Hearing this, Duncan stared at her, dumbfounded.
How could anyone in this world be so shameless?!
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying his best to suppress his anger.
He feared he might kill this woman in the next second if he didn't calm down.
"Come on, Nelly. You are the one cheated on me, but you put all the blame on me. How shameless! Now, get out of here before I kill you," Duncan said in an ominously low voice with a murderous look in his eyes.
Nelly was so frightened that she swallowed and took a step back. Cursing under her breath, she hurried to put on her clothes.
"You damned bastard! I wasted three years of my precious youth on you!"
"Wait."
Duncan stopped her from leaving, his eyes flashing coldly.
He took Nelly's coat and unclasped the necklace around her neck.
"Since you like fakes so much, return these to me. They're authentic."
The coat and necklace were both Chanel. Both of them cost at least five grand.
Duncan had given these to Nelly for her birthday earlier this year.
Feeling dizzy, Nelly nearly lost her balance and had to support herself against the wall.
When Renzo and Nelly finally left the room, Duncan almost collapsed to his knees.
"Three years together, and for what?" he sighed.
Just then, an electronic-sounding voice rang in his mind.
"Tink! Congratulations, master! You have successfully retaliated and humiliated a woman back and won a limited edition Maybach 62S!"
"What?"
With a stunned look on his face, Duncan whirled around to see if there was anyone else in the room.
'Was I hallucinating from the trauma I have experienced just now?'
But before he could think about it too much, his phone suddenly rang.
Duncan saw that the caller was unknown, so he picked up the phone, accidentally tapping the speaker button.
A respectful, steady middle-aged man's voice came from the other end of the line.
"Excuse me, is that Mr. Duncan Anderson?
This is Moss Aston, the general manager of the dealership of Maybach.
I'm calling to inform you that the limited edition Maybach 62S you bought will be delivered in five minutes!"
Because he was on speaker mode, the sound of Moss' voice echoed across the whole rental apartment.
Hearing this, Nelly and Renzo stopped abruptly at the door.
Nelly, in particular, whirled around in disbelief.
"What the fuck?! Duncan, how the hell can you afford a Maybach? Oh, my God!"
"Are you that crazy about money? Can't you tell that it's a scammer calling?" Duncan snapped, hanging up the phone impatiently.
Renzo recovered from his initial shock and sneered.
"What'd I tell you, Nelly? Duncan's nothing but a poor loser.
You were with him for three years. Don't you know that?"
Just as he finished talking, a Maybach suddenly roared like a lion outside the apartment.
