Chapter 1 Zombie

MASSIMO

"Am on the way... On the way to New York, yoh! Way to shut... shut down the city, ah ah. Yohhh! Woosh" I sang aloud as I drove back into the city.

The city looked different and deserted, I have been away just one week, how come it was looking like I left for a year? I looked at my wristwatch.

Today marked it one week that I ran away from home. Mom planned to hold her fashion run way show last week.

The show wasn't even my problem. The problem was, she wanted me to head the show. I don't know how many times I have to tell Mrs Flavia Vincenzo that I was not interested in sewing, fashion.

I am Twenty-three, I understand what I should do with my life.

You want to know what I intend to do with my life? Music. Mom won't let me choose my profession, so I left her to it and went to get another pussy crunched outside the city. When I was sure the show would have been done and dusted, I packed my stuffs and now, I was on my way back home.

"What is that?" I asked myself, slowing down the car. I drove pass it, my throat went dry at what I saw.

A dead person.

I looked straight, my heart almost jump out of my mouth.

The street was littered with dead bodies. Both sides of the road had a few dead person lying there.

Increasing my speed, I rode very fast to the end of the street and turned left.

"Jezzz!" I exclaimed, letting out the breath I was holding.

"What happened here?" I ask myself, riding down the road.

"Blood of God!" A bigger exclamation jumped out of my mouth as a staggering creature, stepped onto the street, distance away from me. I struggled to control the speed of the car, I was unsure whether to hit the creature and run or just stop as it was waving me down. I couldn't see the face, it hair fell over it face making it hard to reveal it identity.

The dress it wore was drenched in blood.

"Get out of the way!" I gritted my teeth, honking to alert it. My mind suddenly whispered something to me

"It is a f*king Zombie!" A zombie! A fucking deadly zombie!

"Ahhhhhhhhhh" I cried in horror as I finally got the courage to bring the car to a stop. I closed my eyes against the bold creature standing right in front of the Benz. The hard drop of something heavy on my bonnet made me slide my eyes open, still shrinking in fear.

The creature fell on my bonnet. I slowly peeped out of the window and called at it "Hello?" "Hello?" I called again.

No response. I came down from the car and grabbed it by the back then pulled it down from the bonnet.

Suddenly, it grabbed my left arm, I let out a horrific yell. This was how I get eaten by a Zombie?

"Save me, please" The creature voiced, it hand faintly sliding off mine.

I looked at it on the floor. It was a lady's voice and sounded innocent.

Bending over, I swept the hair on it face off and saw a pale face of a lady. She had a pulse, she only passed out.

**** 2 HOURS LATER

"Look at my son" Her whimpering voice tapped me out of my nap. I scrubbed my face. Looking around, I realized I fell asleep by the side of her bed, her wounds were covered by plasters and bandages, she looked so lean and malnourished, I wonder what she was doing on the street, in the midst of dead bodies, all alone. Mom's heels clanking against the hard floor shifted my attention to the door. She stormed the room with her body guards as she came to pull me up from the bed side. "Son, did any harm come to you? I was so scared" Mom threw me into her warmth. I slowly took it, wrapping my arms around her waist. Her body guards secretly peeped at me, I kept everyone worried.

"I am fine" I muttered my words of assurance into her shoulder. She pulled me off her body and palm my cheeks in her hands.

"This is the second time you disappeared without a word, where were you this time?" I rolled my eyes.

Another time to lie. "A friend's home"

Her hands slide down my cheeks. She didn't believe me.

"What? You don't believe me? Fine then, I am out of here" I turned to pick my stuffs but she quickly came to stand in front of me.

"I know all of your friends, I checked each person's home, you weren't there" She grinned awkwardly. I ruffled my hair. I will never open up, I spent one whole week with a woman, I will never tell that to her.

"It is a new friend you don't know" Not so much lies. The lady I spent one week f*cking was someone she does not know so... that was a safe lie.

"One of your numerous girls outside the city?" Oh, gosh! A perfect guess but I will not admit it, still.

"Whatever!" I spat, grabbing my jacket and headphone which had laid on the bed for a while.

I walked pass her shoulder briskly, she stopped me with a hand and whispered "Did you hit her?" She was referring to the still body on the bed.

"Almost, I picked her up on the streets, looks like she was attacked"

"You have something you want in return from her?" She asked, eyeing me. "Excuse me?" I frowned at her dirty idea.

"I hope you haven't gotten down with an almost dead person? It is quite unusual of you to help a female" I didn't respond. She was right, I don't help the opposite gender except I have something to gain. I was not sure why I picked this stranger up and even sat by her side for over an hour.

"See you at home" I closed the chapter, finally walking away. Outside the room, I heard her telling her guards that she think I have slept with the stranger already, mother doesn't trust I will stay close to a female stranger for that long without having anything sexual to do with her.
