Episode 1

The third person's pov

It's a sunny Saturday afternoon, the streets of Florida is unusual quiet and the atmosphere hot. Everyone surprisedly looking for shelter, some already with an umbrella protecting their fair skins from the angry scourge of the sun. Lizzy has been washing her clothes for the past minutes at the back of the building, she's been hissing loudly and cursing under her breath at what led her to wash her clothes under the sun. She immediately heard her twin sister laughing and shouting inside and wondered what could make her laugh under the condition which they were into. immediately Linda rushed out of the main building startling her with her voice.

"Lizzy, guess what?" Linda ask happily.

" Why are you so happy?" she asked unconcerned.

" Come on, guess what happened now, you'll like it". She urged her.

"You should have known by now that I'm not good at guessing". Lizzy told her and she hissed. knowing fully well that Lizzy wasn't going to comply, she decided to tell her the reason behind her happiness.

"Micheal is back, he's back from Indian." she said jumping up in excitement.

" Are you serious?"Lizzy asked not feeling enthusiastic about the unexpected news.

"Yeah, and we're going on a date." She added. Lizzy started laughing surprising and confusing Linda at the same time.

" Have you forgotten?" she asked her as she dropped the clothe she was washing.

"Forgotten what?"Linda asked confused.

"Don't tell me you've forgotten the scar on your face. How can you go out with that face of yours? And also, he is Michael, your runaway boyfriend." she said

Linda stood like a statue, trying to blink back the tears clouding her eyes. Lizzy stood up, went over to where she was standing and held her hands.

" I know what you are going through, but you got to let him know that you could not make it today" she advised sadly. She was lost in her own thoughts. yeah, she was the one behind the scar but it wasn't intentional. she felt bad for ruining her sister's face, she was jolted back to reality when her sister rushed inside in pains. she felt even worst now.

Linda ran inside, she went straight to her room and fell flat on her soft bed crying bitterly. After lying there for some minutes, she got up and went to her standing mirror, she felt her scar looking more badly, tears finding its way down her red cheeks, she remembered her days as a childhood friend to Mike.

It was the day her dad was buried at the cemetery. She loved her dad so much, she was always with him but something happened, she blamed herself for killing her dad.

Her dad was on her way to her audition, she earlier told her him to be there on time, but he couldn't make it, he had an accident which caused his life. This incident caused her, her dreams to become an actress. She blamed herself and wanted to end her life. One-day, she decided to execute her plans and sneaked out of their home. She ran all the way to a beach known as Daytona beach in Florida.

She was about to jump and suddenly got hold of by someone. it was a boy .

" Leave me alone" she screamed out to the unfamiliar face.

" What are you trying to do?"

" What sort of question is that?" she scorned.

"Come down, it's dangerous."

knowing fully well that she wouldn't agree to that, he carried her on his shoulders. She was screaming and shouting but he didn't care. He dropped her off in front of the bench and sat down leaving her shouting.

"Sit" he ordered.

"Are you mad?" she asked angrily. He ignored her.

" My mum and dad died on the same day." He told her.

"How does that affect me?" she asked rudely.

"I was a kid then, about two years old. They left me, it was painful seeing my parents laid down on the grave. But I'm still me, I'm still alive, I survived. I don't know why and how many you've lost, but just know that when you are determined to survive, you'll survive, there are many out there who lost and still have no home but they are living fine. No matter what happens, there's still hope". He concluded and stood up to leave.

" What's your name?"she asked him.

"Michael." he said and left immediately. Linda watched him till he was out of sight, she let out a moan and sat down frustrated.

She met him again at the supermarket, he was quite jovial and funny to her. He talked more about himself and became a very good friend of hers. There was a problem, lizzy hates the boy.She was rude and snobbish to him and that earned her the name "rude jerk "from Mike. They were always fighting and had to be always separated by Linda. Linda loved seeing them exchange words because she found it amusing and funny. She almost died of laughter the day Lizzy called Mike a "dumb imbecile ",Mike raged from the insults gave Lizzy a resounding slap which left some marks on her face. That day, he earned a very big beating from his uncle.

He vowed never to touch a woman again.

Linda remembered how Mike was taken to Indian. Mike disclosed that his father owned the famous Orlando hospital in Florida.

"you mean your father owns the big hospital?" she asked bewildered.

"Yes" he answered smiling.

"This is unbelievable, why didnt you tell me?"

"I was waiting for the right time Linda."

" What makes you think this is the right time.?"

" I will be leaving for Indian tomorrow. "

"What? "

" My uncle was posted and made the general in command of the forces in indian."

"So, you're leaving?"she asked him weeping.

" I dreaded telling you but my uncle insisted" he said wiping off her tears with his hands.

"Will you come back?"she asked.

" If not for anything, for you. I will."

" What time are you leaving tomorrow? "

"8.30am.i have something to tell you, I want to see you before I leave. Do make it on time before our plane leaves. "

The next day, Linda was woken up by her mother, she asked her mum the time, her mom answered 7:00.She rushed inside immediately,brushed her mouth, changed her clothes and rushed outside. She boarded a taxi to rush immediately to Daytona international airport.

"What's the time now?" Mike asked his uncle.

" 8.00."

" What's keeping her?" he asked impatiently.

"Get ready please, the plane is about to take off in twenty minutes time. passengers booked by 8.30 should bode the plane. "The air traffic controller announced.

Outside the airport, Linda asked someone if the plane has taken off. She rushed inside to the section where passengers were being borded in. She was crying already as she didn't see Mike anymore.

"Linda. "Mike called.

Linda turned back to see who called her, it turned out to be Mike. She was filled with happiness immediately and ran to him. She hugged him passionately.

"You're crying?do you think I will leave here without seeing you?" He asked as he disengage the hug

"No, I know you wouldn't leave me. I woke up late and I didn't shower before coming." she answered, trying to wipe the tears from her eyes. She was very happy

" You'll wait for me, will you?" He asked

"I promise, I will never let you go." She answered

He brought out a necklace and gave to her.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked. Linda was excited, she immediately jumped on him hugging him.

"Yes, Yes I will." she answered happily

Mike then moved her long hair to her shoulder and wore the necklace round her neck. people watched as they hugged after wards. some even became emotional and cried.

"I love you Linda."

I love you more Micheal "

it was surely a sad and happy moment for Linda. The most important thing here is that he confessed his love for her. she smiled as she ate her dinner. Lizzy asked what was making her smile, she told him. Lizzy laughed making mockery of her, she didn't even talk much. she went to sleep feeling satisfied and happy.

*Back to the present

Linda touched the necklace and smiled.

"I will not disappoint him, I must look for a way to meet him". An idea immediately struck into her mind, she left immediately and went to see her sister who was at the backyard.

" I have an idea"she said to Lizzy. Lizzy looked at her immediately.

" And what's that?" she asked .

"listen to me, we are identical right?"she asked Lizzy.

"

yeah, I know even in my dreams, why the sudden question?"

" I want you to be me and me to be you. "

" meaning?"Lizzy asked confused.

" You're gonna become Linda, I've decided you go on a date with him." she said

" Impossible, how am I going to do that? what are you saying?" she shouted.

" I know what I'm saying, please consider my condition, please, go on a date with him Lizzy. " Linda begged

" yeah, I pity your condition, but I can't do what you are asking me to do, I am not doing it simple. think of another solution please". Lizzy shouted rudely .Her mood changed immediately, Lizzy spoke out.

"okay, fine."She raised up her eyebrows.

" You're gonna do it for me?"she asked.

" Yeah, for you, only you." Linda immediately hugged her.

" I'm gonna dress you up, " linda said smiling as they walked in.
