Chapter 1 The Sweet Taste Of Love

WHAT? " Clark's voice boomed inside his uncle's clinic. because he was so shocked by what he heard from him. He thought that what he was saying was hard to believe and followed his advice.

The doctor stopped writing and looked at the person in front of him. "You heard what I was saying, Clark? Maybe you want me to repeat it! " He looked back at what he was doing. "You overreacted to what you heard."

Clark shook his head. He really couldn't believe what he said. "Doc, that's only for married couples." You want me to do that? Oh, common! " He shook his head even more. "This is so hilarious!"

"So, you want to have a child, right? Then, do it. You have nothing to lose. Just try it, Clark."

How can I do that, Doc? I don't have a girlfriend. She's just my bed partner. Then you want me to dance in Obando? This is only for married couples who have longed to be blessed with children.

"Well, if you don't want to, Clark. There's nothing else I can do. This is just my suggestion. Because I know someone who did it, after one month, the woman got pregnant. That's what's called a "miracle."

"NO WAY DOC!" he responded firmly. "I can't do that."

"It is up to you. The only thing I can say is, find a woman with a fresh uterus. And especially without vices."

Clark's forehead suddenly wrinkled when he heard that. "What do you mean the uterus is fresh, doc?" He sat up straight. "It's like picking it in the garden."

"Fresh? I mean, no sex experience yet, never touched or inserted by a man's semen, get it. "

"What? What are you talking about, Uncle? "

"Psstt! Don't call me Uncle when I'm at work, Clark. "

"Okay fine, Doc. But it's very impossible because the words you uttered are not from the time of the Gabriella era. They are in the iPhone world now."

"Well, if you don't like what I said, it's up to you, Clark. I can only advise you to do it or not. Then I'm not there anymore. It's your life. "

"But the question is, Doc, is there still such a thing nwadays? " "Eh, all I see, even teenagers, have a cigarette stuck in their mouth."

"I can't say anything more, Clark. I'll tell you what I already know. This is just an option; the decision is still up to you. What is this? We just say it again and again, Clark. " He actually wanted his nephew to leave, but he couldn't because he was still a client at his clinic.

Clark washed his face with his palms. What he knows about all the girls he's with is that they're just for bed. even if they are rich and educated. And he knows that they are liberated; sex is nothing to them, it's like a game to them, and where can he see a virgin woman right now? in the province? For him, it is impossible because now technology is around the corner. They have Zoom, Messenger, and many other social media that can be used nowadays to make friends or lovers. For him, maybe out of a thousand women, there may be one lost virgin, but the question is where she is?

"Clark, you are still young and strong." Try and try until you succeed. Maybe you know that one of your sperm eggs can get through and you can't make it. "

"What's that, Doc?" I'm just digging and digging it?"

"Yeah, you have so many chica babes that are available there. Just a flick of your finger and they are in front of you. Also, they are already naked. Is right ha, Clark?"

Clark suddenly laughed. "Who else am I going to inherit from you, right?"

"Yes, but you're overdoing it. Even if you wanted to have children right now, you won't be able to. That's called... " He hung up what he said.

"Called what, Doc?"

"Karma!"

Clark pounded."Karma? I never did anything wrong. Why can I get karma? I just enjoyed myself. "

"No, I think the karma for you is your sperm. You're always banging. How many girls do you bang in a week, huh? "

"Uncle, no need to tell you that."

"And why not, huh, Clark? "

"It's SPG, Doc!"

"What do you think of me, kid?"

"Old boy to ponder, uncle."

"Don't call me Uncle," he scolded his nephew.

"Okay."

"Answer my question, womanizer."

"Look who's talking."

He just shakes his head because of what his nephew said. "How many?"

"Hmmm," he thought, but it was just a thought made up.

In a week, two or three times, he has someone in bed. But only one woman. Next week is different. That's how his life with women revolves around it. If there is no woman, maybe he can die. If he didn't have sex for one week, he felt so weak. For him, sex is exercise. It is easier to sweat because it causes a tickle and pleasure in the body.

"Clark. Clark, I wasn't born yesterday," which was his uncle's sense.

Clark shrugged his shoulders. His cellphone rang suddenly. When he looked at it,

"Woman again?"

"Uncle, I have to go," he replied.

"It should have been a while ago. Maybe she's getting impatient."

"Bye, uncle Doc." He stood up and went out directly.

His uncle was right; it was a woman who called him. It's Carmina. She is a model. He only met her once, but this was the signal that she was always by his side. It was even late for the fashion show once. While the others are crawling to the stage, she is crawling on top of him.

Clark feels that the woman is obsessed with him. He lets her go after all. There is no new woman in his life yet.

Clark's uncle just shook his head. They could not reprimand the young man. Because Clark's a rich man on his own.

"TAMARA, what the hell are you doing you are so slowly?" Her aunt shouted.

I'm still the one who is slow in moving. I'm like a superwoman now. It's just a matter of time and I'm going to fly. I just wish I could fly. She was so busy displaying in their stores while then her aunt was just standing there. If she helped her, the work was done. Tamara talked to herself.

"Hey! It's noon! "

Who is to blame because you flirted with someone last night? Tamara mumbled.

His aunt was still young. She was forty-plus and an early widow. She was not even left with a child before her husband passed away. It's good that she has, but she doesn't wish for her to be her mother because she's so grumpy. But she couldn't do anything because her mother left her when she was one year old. She had many questions about her mother, but there was no sensible answer from her aunt. She said that his mother was so flirtatious that she forgot that there was a Tamara waiting for her. Well, she thinks that they are the same as her mother at night, like she was a teenager, which should be her. She mumbled again.

"Did you say something, Tamara?" Her aunty caught her mumbling.

"I didn't say anything, Tiya." She had to make an excuse. Maybe later her flawless hair would be pulled again, and it would hurt.

She tormented her.

There was nothing she could do but accept her aunt's behavior. "Well, Tamara, you have long ago accepted this from the beginning when you started to know how to think right." Her brain screamed. Tamara sighed.

"TAMARA! Your name really suits you. Remove the RA and replace it with a D to become LAZY! "

Tamara didn't answer her aunty anymore. She just sped up what she was doing if she answered her more. Maybe she's going too high-blooded.

"What are you doing?"

"Yes, Aunt."

"Those clothes are only for rent by people who want to dance, huh?"

"I already fixed it, Aunt."

"It's good. Go ahead and eat first while there are no people around. When you're done, I'll replace you."

"Yes!" She took out their food.

And Tamara ate quietly. Only there does she have peace of mind.

While she was eating, she once thought, What if she leaves her aunt and goes far away, or if she just goes abroad to calm her mind? But she also thought that if it wasn't for her, maybe her life was in a mess. But thanks to her aunt because she was too strict when she was still studying. When she sees his former classmates who have children and whose lives are nothing, then sometimes their husbands even hit them. Maybe she is like that by now. Her aunt's strictness also had a good effect. But now she's getting old. Her love life is still zero. It seems that she has a little chance to meet her love of her life. Tamara sighed. She didn't realize that she had finished eating.

"What's your sigh for, Tamara?" She saw that her niece had finished eating. So, she approached her so that she could eat as well.

"Huh, no aunty, I'm just full," she reasoned.

"Alright, you go there; maybe someone will buy it."

Tamara nodded to her aunt and she went out.

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.

I was four months pregnant, weighing over two hundred pounds, and my heart was failing from experimental treatments forced on me as a child. My doctor looked at me with clinical detachment and told me I was in a death sentence: if I kept the baby, I would die, and if I tried to remove it, I would die. Desperate for a lifeline, I called my father, Francis Acosta, to tell him I was sick and pregnant. I expected a father's love, but all I got was a cold, sharp blade of a voice. "Then do it quietly," he said. "Don't embarrass Candi. Her debutante ball is coming up." He didn't just reject me; he erased me. My trust fund was frozen, and I was told I was no longer an Acosta. My fiancé, Auston, had already discarded me, calling me a "bloated whale" while he looked for a thinner, wealthier replacement. I left New York on a Greyhound bus, weeping into a bag of chips, a broken woman the world considered a mistake. I couldn't understand how my own father could tell me to die "quietly" just to save face for a party. I didn't know why I had been a lab rat for my family’s pharmaceutical ambitions, or how they could sleep at night while I was left to rot in the gray drizzle of the city. Five years later, the doors of JFK International Airport slid open. I stepped onto the marble floor in red-soled stilettos, my body lean, lethal, and carved from years of blood and sweat. I wasn't the "whale" anymore; I was a ghost coming back to haunt them. With my daughter by my side and a medical reputation that terrified the global elite, I was ready to dismantle the Acosta empire piece by piece. "Tell Francis to wash his neck," I whispered to the skyline. "I'm home."
