Chapter 1 Identity swap

London, August 12, 1990.

In the most luxurious part of the city and in the middle of the night, children's cries could suddenly be heard. Celina is the nanny of the Elizabeth family, currently anxiously waiting for her lady to give birth to an angel. She was attracted by the sound of babies crying, not from the delivery room but the front door of the big house. Celina hesitated for a long time and then went to see what was happening.

She crept through the bushes, and the further she went, the louder the wailing sound became. Then suddenly, she covered her mouth. "Oh my God. An abandoned child?"

Celina made the sign of the cross and silently called to God. An insect was biting the poor baby, which appeared to be only a few days old. Its red skin and small body were writhing and choking.

Celina gently picked up the baby and looked around to find the baby's relatives, but no one seemed to be nearby. She guessed the baby had been abandoned for a long time because its whole body was cold. Maybe it was because it was hungry and hard that it squealed like that.

After a moment of hesitation, Celina carried the baby into the house and hid it in her room. Perhaps she will tell this to the lady after she gives birth safely. When she put the baby down, the little girl lost the warmth of Celina's arms and burst into tears. For fear of affecting the lady, Celina sat down and drew the breast to feed the baby. Celina felt warm looking at the hungry little girl trying to suck milk from her breasts. Due to the hurry, the baby choked on milk, his face was red, and the sound from his throat came out with difficulty. Celina hugged her and patted her back to comfort her. Then she suddenly noticed that on the baby's towel, there was a delicately embroidered word Lucasta.

"Your name is Lucasta, isn't it, daughter?" Celina gently stroked Lucasta's tiny hands.

After patting Lucasta to sleep, Celina returned to the lady's delivery room and waited for the good news.

The young man kept pacing in front of the room. He is the head of the famous Elizabethan family and eagerly awaits his first child.

Nolan planned the future for his baby before it was even born. If it were his son, he would raise him well and hand over all his possessions to the boy. And if it was a girl, Nolan hadn't thought about it; in his heart, he had always longed for a son who could help him carry the Elizabethan family in the future.

"Nolan, calm down; God bless us." Celina smiled gently and comforted her young father.

Nolan nodded, instead of pacing as he had initially sat down and started reading, but for a whole day still, no words could enter Nolan's head.

The obstetrician pushed open the door of the delivery room and called out to Celina with a tense face. "I have something I need your help with."

"What's going on? How is she? Have you given birth yet?" Nolan repeatedly asked, rarely seeing this young billionaire so impatient.

"Please wait a little longer." The doctor clenched his sweaty hands, trying to hide his fear.

Celina followed the doctor into the room, not understanding why her heart was beating so intensely. When the doctor held the baby and gave it to Celina, she was shocked and stared at the pale baby with her eyes closed in the scarf around her body.

"Oh my God! What happened here?" Celina wondered, her trembling hands holding the baby that had lost all its life. "Is the girl still alive?"

"It's dead." Lady Clara said bitterly. Her hands clenched the sheets tightly, her face white and sweaty from a newborn but still not losing the inherent beauty of London's most beautiful woman. "Maybe we should do something."

Celina was speechless for a while; Clara forced herself to sit up and gave Celina an order. "Bring it here."

The baby was held in front of Clara; she gently touched the baby's small, tightly pursed lips; her face was expressionless and coldly said. "Bring it and don't let my husband know this."

"How can we hide this from Sir Elizabeth, madam? It was breaking news." Celina is worried.

"I called you in here to ask for your help; you have to find me another baby and hide this. If this tells Nolan, he will definitely hate me and I will have no place in the family." What Clara cared about was probably not the child's life or death but her position later in the Elizabethan family.

Celina hesitated and was scared but did not dare to disobey Clara's orders; when she was still thinking about where to find the newborn baby, she suddenly remembered Lucasta. "Ma'am, I just picked up a little girl a few days old and perhaps suitable for our child."

Clara thought for a moment, then nodded. "Okay, bring it here." Then he turned to look at the doctor, pale with fear. "This must not be revealed publicly, if I let Nolan know about me, I will definitely make you miserable."

The obstetrician wiped the sweat from his forehead and nodded repeatedly. "Yes madam."

Thanks to the excellent cooperation of the doctor and Celina, the actual baby of the Elizabeth family was brought out, buried in a place no one knows, not even a name. And an unknown child-like Lucasta became the daughter of this noble family.

The obstetrician, trembling, did not dare to look Nolan in the eye and announced in a low voice. "Congratulations, sir, your daughter has been delivered safely."

There was a bit of disappointment in Nolan's heart, but it quickly disappeared when he saw the small face and those blue eyes staring at him, the joy of being a father for the first time spreading on the face of a cold person like Nolan. He lowered his head and gently kissed his baby's tiny hand. "Welcome to this world, darling."

"You may visit the lady." Celina lowered her head to hide her bloodshot eyes.

Nolan went in to visit Clara, affectionately placing a tender kiss on her forehead. "Thank you, honey. After you get better we will travel together and I promise to give you anything you want."

Clara smiled happily, not looking like a mother who had just lost a child. "It's my duty."

"What should we name the baby?" Nolan consulted Clara, shyly smiling. "I was thinking of a name for our son and I'm so sorry I forgot it could have been a baby angel."

"Lucasta, okay?" Clara asked. Initially, she didn't mind this; Celine said the girl's name was Lucasta, so call her Lucasta.

"Lucasta, it's not a bad name, it must have taken you a long time to think of this name for our baby." Nolan hugged Clara happily.

When Lucasta was three years old, Clara became pregnant again, but an unexpected incident happened. Lucasta accidentally bumped into Clara while she was going down the stairs and caused Clara to have a miscarriage. The doctor announced that it was a boy, and the bad thing was that Clara would no longer be able to get pregnant. At first, Clara just didn't care about Lucasta, but after that incident, she grew to detest Lucasta.

Lucasta grew up with the love of Celina and the superficiality of a busy father, not without Clara's bitterness.

Thought Lucasta's life could pass peacefully, but no. The most significant turning point in Lucasta's life came when she was 15 years old, and her father died suddenly in a plane crash.

A war for property broke out fiercely in the entire Elizabeth family; although Clara was a wife but had no son, she was considered an outsider by everyone and was kicked out of the house without a penny. Now all her hatred is on Lucasta even though all the blame is not on her; Clara gnaws and torments Lucasta everywhere as long as she sees Lucasta.

Clara had more than half a happy life, so that she couldn't stand the hard life, so she abandoned Lucasta to Celina and wanted to return to her mother's house to enjoy happiness. However, her biological mother also passed away after a year, and no one could stand Clara's arrogant temper; once again, she was kicked out.

After a few years of moving out, Celina contracted cancer and had no money for treatment, so she passed away. Lucasta was only 17 years old and had to work outside to make ends meet and raise a mother who used money like water.

At the age of 20, Lucasta, thanks to her natural talent for acting, was specially recruited to the Belin School of the Arts, and that changed her entire life later.
