"Sir, she's not dead yet. Do you want me to run her over again?" "Do it." The battered and bloodied Rebecca overheard her husband's order and gritted her teeth. The couple had never consummated their marriage, and consequently, they never had a child. However, their childless marriage drove her mother-in-law to accuse Rebecca of being infertile. Now, not only did her husband cheat on her, but he also wanted her dead! He could've just divorced her, but here he was, trying to kill her... Rebecca, who narrowly escaped death, immediately divorced her heartless husband and married again soon after. Her second husband was the most prominent man in the city. She vowed to use his power to her advantage and take revenge on those who had hurt her! Their marriage was supposed to be just a deal beneficial for both of them. Unexpectedly, when the dust settled, her second husband took her hand and pleaded, "Why not stay with me forever?"

Chapter 1 The Man In The Car

The surroundings were pitch-dark, and it was very quiet.

A car drove along the road in the still of the night.

"Ahhh!" A woman's scream sounded in the car, followed by a plea. "Please, let me go. Please..."

The light from the street lamp reflected in the car windows, revealing a woman lying in the back seat. Her hair was disarrayed, and her clothes were a mess. A man half-knelt between her legs. His one hand grabbed her wrist while the other lifted the hem of her skirt. Inch by inch, his hand caressed her leg all the way up to her thigh.

"I didn't want to hurt anyone. But unfortunately, you got in my car," the man said hoarsely.

Rebecca Dixon was confused, not understanding what he meant.

But she didn't have time to think anymore. Because his hand reached between her thighs.

"Ohhh..." A moan came out of her mouth uncontrollably.

The car suddenly jolted forward, and the man thrust his finger inside her and glided through her slick, plush channel, making her extremely wet.

"Ahhh..." Rebecca felt like her entire body was electrocuted, and she couldn't help but let out a series of moans.

Her moans aroused the man even more. His penis was hardening and swelling between her thighs, but he knew how tight she was. She was not ready yet. And if he forced his way into her, he would hurt her.

He gritted his teeth, trying his best to keep his last bit of sanity. He used his fingers, twisting and rubbing, constantly changing tempo and direction, to arouse her more.

The car seemed to have pulled over in a desolate place, and the driver got out. Then the door was locked with a "click" sound.

Rebecca's moan grew louder as she felt ripples of strange pleasure course through her nerves.

When the man suddenly pulled out his finger, her vagina trembled sharply. It was as if she wanted him to stay that way. Now, she felt a little empty and greedy.

Then something warm touched her. Before she could react, the man plunged into her, tunneling his rigid penis into her channel.

"Ahhh... It hurts!" Rebecca complained.

The man lowered his head and sealed her lips with a kiss. His tongue slid into her mouth, churning between her lips and teeth.

His eyes glittered with fierce, unresolved lust. But Rebecca couldn't help sobbing. Her eyes were unable to focus, tears streaming down her face like waterfalls.

Why did it happen?

It was something she had never experienced before. She was so overwhelmed that she couldn't think properly at the moment.

The man's gasps filled the confined space. The car shook and squeaked with the movements of his body. But it was so dark that his face and expression couldn't be seen.

After thrusting hard inside Rebecca, the man suddenly pulled out his rock-hard penis. She begged for mercy, but her voice was barely audible. The tempo of his thrusts was unfaltering and relentless, bringing her to climax over and over. The delicate muscles inside her rippled and gripped his plunging penis. He thrust deeper with a groan and finally reached her deepest point. Then, he released streams of his seed.

Blood and semen mixed between Rebecca's thighs. She was in a mess, but it was not the end yet. She was too exhausted to resist, so she could only surrender to his insatiable need for her.

Rebecca fainted twice in the middle. And when she woke up, it was almost daybreak.

The man had fallen asleep, and the driver was nowhere to be found.

Rebecca opened the car door carefully. The moment she got out of the car, her numb legs softened. She stumbled clumsily and fell to the ground. Without missing a beat, she hurriedly got up and ran.

After she ran a few hundred meters away, her phone suddenly rang.

She took it out and checked. It was Yosef calling.

Yosef Swain was her husband.

Rebecca clenched her teeth. Her heart was filled with hatred and revulsion for Yosef. Everything that happened to her was all because of him.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I watched my husband sign the papers that would end our marriage while he was busy texting the woman he actually loved. He didn't even glance at the header. He just scribbled the sharp, jagged signature that had signed death warrants for half of New York, tossed the file onto the passenger seat, and tapped his screen again. "Done," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. That was Dante Moretti. The Underboss. A man who could smell a lie from a mile away but couldn't see that his wife had just handed him an annulment decree disguised beneath a stack of mundane logistics reports. For three years, I scrubbed his blood out of his shirts. I saved his family's alliance when his ex, Sofia, ran off with a civilian. In return, he treated me like furniture. He left me in the rain to save Sofia from a broken nail. He left me alone on my birthday to drink champagne on a yacht with her. He even handed me a glass of whiskey—her favorite drink—forgetting that I despised the taste. I was merely a placeholder. A ghost in my own home. So, I stopped waiting. I burned our wedding portrait in the fireplace, left my platinum ring in the ashes, and boarded a one-way flight to San Francisco. I thought I was finally free. I thought I had escaped the cage. But I underestimated Dante. When he finally opened that file weeks later and realized he had signed away his wife without looking, the Reaper didn't accept defeat. He burned down the world to find me, obsessed with reclaiming the woman he had already thrown away.

I spent four hours preparing a five-course meal for our fifth anniversary. When Jackson finally walked into the penthouse an hour late, he didn't even look at the table. He just dropped a thick Manila envelope in front of me and told me he was done. He said his stepsister, Davida, was getting worse and needed "stability." I wasn't his wife; I was a placeholder, a temporary fix he used until the woman he actually loved was ready to take my place. Jackson didn't just want a divorce; he wanted to erase me. He called me a "proprietary asset," claiming that every design I had created to save his empire belonged to him. He froze my bank accounts, cut off my phone, and told me I’d be nothing without his name. Davida even called me from her hospital bed to flaunt the family heirloom ring Jackson claimed was lost, mocking me for being "baggage" that was finally being cleared out. I stood in our empty home, realizing I had spent five years being a martyr for a man who saw me as a transaction. I couldn't understand how he could be so blind to the monster he was protecting, or how he could discard me so coldly after I had given him everything. I grabbed my hidden sketchbook, shredded our wedding portrait, and walked out into the rain. I dialed a number I hadn't touched in years—a dangerous man known as The Surgeon who dealt in debts and shadows. I told him I was ready to pay his price. Jackson and Davida wanted to steal my identity, but I was about to show the world the literal scars they had left behind.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.
