Mia thought traveling home would allow her to rekindle an old flame with her high school sweetheart but the a new man may have swept her off her feet unexpectedly!
Chapter 1 The Return Home
Mia was almost finished with her work day when she got a phone call from her little sister. Thinking she doesn't hear from her often she'd better answer to make sure everything was alright. Thankfully she went to the hallway to answer because as soon as she answered her sister squealed with excitement!
"Oh my gosh, Sara what's going on? " Mia asked curiously. Sara then took a deep breath over the phone and said "I need you to come home this summer, I am getting married!"
Mia was in absolute shock! It was true. Her parents always said Sara would marry first because Mia wanted to live life and make a career for herself before settling down. While Sara was a romantic and wanted a family close to where she had grown up. Still her jaw was wide open and Sara asked "Can we do dinner this weekend? I'd love to talk in person." Remembering she was in a conversation Mia snapped out of it. "Of course, let's meet Saturday and I'll come home to visit you all so we can celebrate properly." Only a three hour drive so she would leave that morning and return to her hometown. First time in four years! Mia grew nervous at the thought of who she might see, but this was for her sister.
