Her long hair, her uncouth dress, her domineering personality, her dirty words. She was Susan Cotton. She slapped a gay suitor into the hospital. She was hated the most by all teachers and students. Whenever she was mentioned, everyone would burst into laughter. However, no one knew that Susan Cotton, who had given all her youth and dignity to Henry Bull, was defeated at the hands of a good and innocent girl. She was reborn and decided to focus on the study. Love affairs? Screw you! Though she thought it over, master Bull didn't give her a chance...

Chapter 1 The Young Mistress of the Bull Family

Susan had never thought that she who was so afraid of death would have the courage to leap down from a 33-story building.

At first she was just happy to see a white line across the clouds from the plane outside, and the nanny, who was playing with her cell phone and holding a spoon to feed her at the same time, didn't get any response. "You're not eating again, are you? I don't have the patience to feed you anymore. Do you think you're still the young mistress of the Bull family? You are none other than an infamous slut!"

The nanny's scolding was unpleasant, and Susan, with her burning red face, slowly regained her consciousness, opened her mouth and shouted "ah" blankly.

When she heard the words "Young Mistress of the Bull family", she felt her heart was stabbed by as if ten million needles. The fishy smell filled her sore throat.

She had engaged to Henry since being born. No matter who they were, they assumed that Susan was the young mistress of the Bull family. Her life was originally planned just like that of a princess, but since Sunny Hard appeared, everything had changed.

Henry's increasing indifference and even disgust made her painful. Until a year ago, she married him in a way that even made herself feel inferior, and became Mrs. Bull.

She thought her dream had come true, but it was the beginning of a nightmare.

The discontinuation of the relationship with her mother, the disappointment of Mrs Bull, and death curse she made to her husband let them drift apart farther and farther away from themselves, and finally reached the point that they refused to meet each other again.

"Do you think the young master will come to see you again?" The nanny saw Susan's silly look, a wisp of malice rose from her heart. This woman had always been bossy before, and now she deserved to have a suffer. She took out a shining silver needle from her purse. Susan had naturally noticed it, her body shivering terribly.

"Susan, don't blame me. I also earn money by working for other people!"

"No, please don't..."

The nanny grabbed Susan's slender arms, clutched her fingers and pricked them with the needles without any hesitation. With the nerves of the fingertips linked with the heart, Susan instinctively began to cry and struggle, but as weak as she was, how could she resist the nanny. The more the nanny abused her, the more pleased she felt.

"Bitch, when you acted wildly before, did you think your would have this suffer today? Andy was really foolish to die for someone like you."

He was dead?

Susan looked up at nanny blankly. The pain on her fingers made her a little confused. Since losing her child, she had been in a trance. She was crazy, and she did not remember what she had done or who she had met.

Susan's eyes widened and asked in goofiness,"Andy ... elder brother ... what happened to him?"

The nanny leaned over, patted Susan's face, and whispered to her ear, "He was dead."

Susan's pupils widened. Sickness gushed violently from her throat. Everything before her eyes turned white, and her memory was intermittently covered with a layer of blood. She as if saw the only one who was willing to hug her when anyone blamed and abused her fell into the blood.

Susan remembered that if she hadn't struggled to snatch the steering wheel and intended to meet Henry, there wouldn't be a car accident ...

She woke up unexpectedly, and her eyes gradually became clear. Susan smiled gently to the nanny. "Then I will go with him."

The nanny had looked after Susan for so long. She suddenly saw her smiling brightly, as if a flower bloomed to the extreme and finally withered. She was stunned for a while. Before she could react, Susan got up, strode to the window sill on the sofa and leaped down after breaking the blinds with her body.

The sorrowful howl of the wind poured into her ears. Her heart paralyzed at first ...

If I could relive again, Henry, I would never love you any more.

I watched my husband sign the papers that would end our marriage while he was busy texting the woman he actually loved. He didn't even glance at the header. He just scribbled the sharp, jagged signature that had signed death warrants for half of New York, tossed the file onto the passenger seat, and tapped his screen again. "Done," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. That was Dante Moretti. The Underboss. A man who could smell a lie from a mile away but couldn't see that his wife had just handed him an annulment decree disguised beneath a stack of mundane logistics reports. For three years, I scrubbed his blood out of his shirts. I saved his family's alliance when his ex, Sofia, ran off with a civilian. In return, he treated me like furniture. He left me in the rain to save Sofia from a broken nail. He left me alone on my birthday to drink champagne on a yacht with her. He even handed me a glass of whiskey—her favorite drink—forgetting that I despised the taste. I was merely a placeholder. A ghost in my own home. So, I stopped waiting. I burned our wedding portrait in the fireplace, left my platinum ring in the ashes, and boarded a one-way flight to San Francisco. I thought I was finally free. I thought I had escaped the cage. But I underestimated Dante. When he finally opened that file weeks later and realized he had signed away his wife without looking, the Reaper didn't accept defeat. He burned down the world to find me, obsessed with reclaiming the woman he had already thrown away.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

I spent my whole life trying to fit into the "Kensington aesthetic," dyeing my hair blonde and playing dumb just to earn a crumb of my father's approval. But when the manor went up in flames, I realized I was never a daughter to them-I was just an inconvenience. I lay pinned under a heavy oak beam, the smell of copper and burnt sugar filling my lungs. My father, Arthur, stood in the doorway with my brothers, looking like a phalanx of saviors, but their eyes weren't on me. They rushed past my outstretched, bloody hand to save my sister, Karly, who was huddled in a corner without a scratch on her. My brother Archer scooped her up like spun glass, stepping over my crushed leg without a second glance. Just before they crossed the threshold, Karly looked back at me and smiled-a small, victorious, terrifying smile. My father didn't offer help; he just shouted that I was an arsonist and slammed the door, sentencing me to burn alive in my own bedroom. As the crystal chandelier melted and crashed toward me, I didn't feel fear anymore. I felt a guttural, distilled hate for the family that left me to die because of a lie. I had spent my life begging for scraps at a table that was never meant for me, and I died realizing they never loved me at all. "If I come back," I promised into the void, "I will burn you all down." I gasped for air and woke up in my bed, the smell of lavender replacing the smoke. It was September 14th, five years before the fire, the exact week I had started ruining myself to please them. I looked in the mirror, scrubbed off the pathetic makeup mask, and realized the old, desperate Kala was dead. If I was going to burn, I'd make sure they were the ones who felt the heat first. "Queen is back online," I whispered.
