Though she doesn't know who this little girl is, she has a familiar feeling with this little girl. It's strange. And what more strange is that though the little girl is with autism and dislikes interacting with other people, she likes Stars very much, even more than her own father, James Brown. This makes James interested in Stars. In order to make his daughter happy, he signs labor contracts with Stars, letting Stars become the nanny of her daughter. As they get along day by day, James finds that Stars and her daughter have so much in common. Is it really just a coincidence?

Virgin's Lover Chapter 1 Dedicated to A Vegetable

"Miss White, please come in." A servant stood at the door expressionlessly.

Since entering this majestic castle, Stars White had been shocked by its gloominess and chillness.

The door in front of her, especially, gave her the strongest oppressive feeling.

How did a vegetable have such an overwhelming sense of presence?

She swallowed and confirmed again, "You will let go of my family as long as I'm pregnant, right?"

"Yes." The servant nodded.

"Well..." Stars felt embarrassed to speak it out, but she had to. "Now that he's a vegetable, can he... do that?"

If he didn't have that ability, how could she be pregnant? Who should be responsible for that then?

The servant smiled slightly. "It depends on your capability, Miss White."

Capability.

Stars knew what this word implied. Since he couldn't move, she had to take the initiative to occupy him...

Suddenly, her cheeks burned red.

"Begin now." The servant opened the door and pushed Stars into the darkness. It was just like a bottomless abyss.

Stars staggered a few steps forward before she regained her footing. Then, she couldn't help rubbing her arms. It was cold inside.

It was just a vegetable, not a corpse! Why did they set the room temperature so low?

But then, her attention was drawn to the man lying on the bed.

He was just like a huge magnet, attracting her to approach step by step.

A lamp by the bed was emitting dim light. Under it, his stunning face came as a great shock to her.

She gasped.

How gorgeous!

His face was half-covered by an oxygen mask and dotted by gauze. But even so, it was still alight with brilliance.

To be fair, he looked pale. His eyes were closed peacefully with eyelashes resting on them like butterflies.

He was still there.

What a pity!

Stars thought.

What a pity that such a handsome man was a vegetable! If he was healthy, he could undoubtedly fascinate all the women.

She had not much time to waste. Her family was waiting for her rescue. She rubbed her hands and said, "Well, I didn't come here voluntarily. They said you became a vegetable after a car accident and might not wake up anymore. So they wanted me to give you a son..."

It was strange. She was the one to sacrifice her virginity. Why did she feel that she was going to defile him?

But he was so handsome that she couldn't help thinking that way.

Not only his face but his figure came as an irresistible temptation.

"I-It's my first time to do this. Don't blame it on me if I'm too clumsy." She was so nervous that she swallowed again and began sweating on her forehead. "I'll turn off the light first. It's better for us."

She walked forward and turned off the only lamp in the room. After taking two deep breaths, she climbed onto the bed.

Her stiffness revealed her nervous tension.

Actually, she had practiced this in her mind umpteenth times. But the embarrassment and fear on the scene were thousands of times painful than those in her imagination!

The thought of what to do next sent her heart going pit-a-pat.

She unbuttoned his shirt with her trembling hands. "I'm sorry to offend you."

In a shy and stiff manner, she leaned over to kiss his cold skin.

When she concentrated, the motionless man opened his eyes.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.
