Chapter 1 Prologue 1
He is the uncle of my student and I was looking forward to finally meeting him. There was not a single day Sarah didn't talk about his Uncle Adam that how handsome he is and not once I believed her until he stepped into the restaurant with Sarah where we decided to meet to discuss about her academic grades. I felt something stirring in my heart for the first time. It was a strange sensation, but not an unpleasant one. I couldn't help but notice how handsome he was and I was immediately captivated by his presence.
He introduced himself to me and I felt a connection between us that I hadn't expected. The conversation flowed easily between us and I found myself entranced by his knowledge and wit. We talked for hours while Sarah was sleeping on his lap and I was surprised to realize that I was feeling something I had never felt before. It was love at first sight, and although I was taken aback by the suddenness of it, I couldn't deny the overwhelming emotion I was feeling. It was strange, but I felt like I had known him my entire life. But then I came into reality that we can never be together as the darkness of my past will destroy everything.
