Naqueenza Raeliana is a twenty-year-old college student who is known to be a bit of a tomboy, likes to voice whatever is in her head, cheerful, brave, and a little rebellious. The girl met Noah McSylver at a market near her campus. Noah helped her from an accident. At first, Raelianna, as the girl is often called, wanted to thank Noah. However, Noah's cold and arrogant attitude made Raelianna's blood boil so that in her first meeting, Raelianna already gave Noah the title of a jerk. The second time she met Noah was at the same market. Only, this time Raelianna didn't see Noah wearing the gangster-like clothes he had before a t-shirt and ripped jeans. This time, Raelianna saw Noah in a shirt combined with a suit, tie and shiny trousers, and loafers. Raelianna gaped and was even more shocked when she found out that the guy she thought was probably the same age as her was thirty years old, a CEO at a well-known company, and... had a daughter! Arriving at the house, Raelianna again met with Noah. This time, Noah becomes his father's business partner. In that instant, Raelianna considered Noah as her curse. Not wanting to have anything to do with a married man, Raelianna stays away from Noah as much as possible. However, Noah's cute child named Miu likes Raelianna and wants to always be near Raelianna. Noah then asked the girl to be friends with Miu. Another reality emerged when Raelianna's twin brother-King Raeliando-said that Noah had no wife, making Raelianna freeze and curse herself. She, Naqueenza Raelianna, seems to have been tricked by fate into dealing with a devil named Noah MySylver, the hot, handsome, sexy CEO, and... a single father!

Chapter 1 Prologue-The Jerk Turn Out To Be A CEO!

Naqueenza Raelianna blinks when she sees the commotion in front of the market.

This market is not that far away from campus. She wanted to ask King Raelindo, her twin, to go get her favorite strawberry milk, but his possessive, protective, with a slight siscon syndrome-yes, she's not shy to admit that King is a fool for her and he's got a "sister complex" that's concerning-has a really important class to attend to. So, Naqueenza is forced to go by herself to get it.

However, she's in trouble now.

"Great. What bad luck," she groans as she stomps her feet in defeat. "I forgot today is the usual school brawl schedule around here."

There are certain days when high school students would have school brawls between two rival schools. Naqueenza was too worried about the school assignments that made her go crazy, the many tasks that would surely make her brain boil and smoke. So, she forgot about these things.

The sound of shouting and stones being thrown around in front of her is enough to make her feel a little bit scared, but not to the point of wanting to hide or anything like that. She calmly fishes her phone from her back pocket and intends to call King. It never occurs to her to just go back into the market and find safety.

While she's focusing on her phone, a shadow shows up right in front of her. She frowns and looks up. Her eyes captured a straight, athletic back that would surely make any girl drool over and vie for a way to flirt with the owner of that back.

"What the-?"

She notices that the man standing with his back in front of her is holding a fairly large stone. The stone was caught by the man, which was most likely thrown by one of the high school students during the brawl.

"Were you going to cuss me out?"

His question brings her back to life. She blinks and creases her forehead. She's going defensive all of a sudden. "What do you mean?"

"You were cut off. What were you going to say?"

"Ugh," she grumbles. "Don't go around accusing people like that. I was just really surprised because you were suddenly in my line of sight. Why are you standing in front of me anyway? You can't see the huge space in here?"

The man looks her up and down with a sharp and cold gaze. He chuckled. An exasperated one. Naqueenza rolls her eyes, not amused with the arrogant guy in front of her.

She takes one more glance. The man in front of her is good-looking. He has fair skin and black thick hair. His sharp and cold eyes are jet black, like the color of his hair. His nose is high, and his clothes are trendy enough. A black t-shirt that fits snugly on his athletic body, a levis jacket tied around the waist, and jeans with a slit on the right knee with black sneakers.

But, it doesn't matter how handsome he is. Naqueenza still wants to throw him around the nearest trash can because of his personality.

"You just stood there like an idiot when everyone around here was hiding in the market, and when the stone was flying towards you I had to help you."

She raises her left eyebrow. "Excuse you? Had to?"

"Yep."

Argh! What breed is this? The devil?

The man takes a few steps back, finding a position to throw something. He narrows his eyes, looking for the target, and immediately throws the stone in his hand. Bullet's eye. He manages to hit the back of the students until he falls.

"Done." The flat voice sounds proud of his actions just now.

"For your information, I won't say thank you for your help."

"Oh. I also don't need gratitude from a child like you."

Naqueenza glares. "A child? Who? Me?"

"With you screaming like this, it's enough for me to know that you're still a child."

Naqueenza puffs out her cheeks and clenches her hands into a fist. "I AM NOT A CHILD. I'M TWENTY ALREADY."

The man snorts and gives her another sharp look. "You're only twenty?"

Thinking she'll go crazy any second now, Naqueenza goes into the market. She turns her head one more time and sticks her tongue out at the guy who only responds with a raised eyebrow.

"Such a five-year-old," he sneers again.

"Suck a jerk."

Seeing an annoying lecturer two days in a row would make Naqueenza crumble like dust.

Her head had been throbbing in pain since the beginning of class. Now, she's not in the mood to take the next course and decides to go to her regular market. She stands in front of the fridge and stares at the row of fresh drinks there.

"King is annoying. How can he forget that he promised to buy me an ice cream?" she grumbles as she takes one of the beverages that catches her attention.

At that moment, Naqueenza felt something hug her legs very tightly. She blinks and looks down. She sees a small kid with fair skin, an extraordinarily pretty face, chubby cheeks that shine bright red, and hair tied in two piggy tails. Naqueenza smiles and crouches down to her level. She pats the kid's hair. "Who are you here with?"

The little girl looks like she's going to cry now, she can see it from her teary eyes. Seeing that, Naqueenza quickly calms her down and gives the kid her fresh drink.

"No, no. Pretty girls don't cry. Here, you can have my drink. I'll help you find your mom and dad, okay?"

She stands up and grips the child's little hand, she hears an anxious and panicked voice. When she turns her head, she gapes. The man in front of him is very handsome, with fair skin and thick jet-black hair, the same as the color of his beady eyes. The only difference now is, yesterday he was wearing a bad boy's outfit, now he looks formal. A black shirt wrapped in a gray coat and pants of the same color as the shirt. And those shiny black loafers.

"Miu!"

The guy immediately ran towards Naqueenza and kneeled before her. Scratch that. He kneels before the little girl whom he called Miu earlier. He looks relieved to see Miu is fine and hugs her tightly, not wanting to lose her.

"Miu! Why did you wander alone, hm? Daddy was looking for you everywhere. Don't ever do that again, okay? I don't want anything to happen to you. I don't want to lose you like I lost mommy. You get it?"

Miu nods weakly and starts to son. She wraps her tiny arms around her dad's neck and nods again.

"Daddy?"

The doubtful tone made him look up. His eyes meet Naqueenza's and his gaze changes. When he looks at Miu, he looks so soft. As soon as that gaze changes direction to Naqueenza, he turns sharp and cold. Just like yesterday.

"Why?" he asks. He holds Miu up. "Something's wrong?"

"Aren't you...the guy from yesterday?"

"Right." He nods firmly. "Outside of work, I always enjoy my free time. But at work, I'm a CEO. In my family, Miu is the only person who is precious and most important to me. Now, do you understand why I called you a child?"

Naqueenza is quiet. She swallows hard.

"Because twenty is too young in my opinion. Let me introduce myself, I'm Noah Mcsylver. CEO of the McSylver company. I'm thirty and Miu McSylver is my daughter."

Naqueenza Raeliana would never have thought her previously calm life would now turn into a hurricane because of an arrogant human named Noah McSylver who, unfortunately, is very hot and handsome for a father with one kid!

Did someone curse Naqueenza today, so that she met an arrogant guy like Noah McSylver?

I woke up on silk sheets that smelled of expensive cedar and cold sandalwood, a world away from my cramped apartment in Brooklyn. Beside me lay Ezra Gardner—my boss, the billionaire CEO of Gardner Holdings, and the man who could end my career with a snap of his fingers. He didn’t offer an apology for the night before; instead, he looked at me with terrifying clarity and proposed a cold, calculated business arrangement. "Marriage. It stabilizes the board and solves the PR crisis before it begins." He dressed me in archival Chanel and sent me home in his Maybach, but my life was already falling apart. My boyfriend, Irving, claimed he had passed out early, yet his location data placed him at my best friend’s apartment until three in the morning. When I tried to run, I realized Ezra was already ten steps ahead, tracking my movements and uncovering the secret I’d spent twenty years hiding: my connection to the powerful Senator Grimes. I was trapped between a CEO who treated me like a line item on a quarterly report and a boyfriend who had been using me while sleeping with my closest friend. I felt like a pawn in a game I didn't understand, wondering why a man like Ezra would walk up forty flights of stairs on a broken leg just to make sure I was safe. "Showtime, Mrs. Gardner." Standing on the red carpet in a gown that cost more than my life, I watched my cheating ex-boyfriend’s face turn pale as Ezra claimed me in front of the world. I wasn't just an assistant anymore; I was a weapon, and it was time to burn their world down.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.
