It was 7:00am when the alarm clock on the bed side ring out so loud waking up the sleeping Hazel who lazily used her hands to hit the clock which fell on her bedside but was still ringing. “Shut the fuck up clockie” She said sitting up as she carried the clock from the floor and off the alarm before dropping it on her bedside table. “Oh… sweet sleep” she groan laying down back just to hear her mother voice calling her name. “Hazel!!!” Immediately she rushed and stand up running to her bathroom. “Oh mom… you can give one a heart attack” she said pulling of her pajamas as she put on the shower.

“Hazel” the middle forty years woman with dark brown hair walked into her daughter bedroom but she wasn’t on her bed. “Hazel!” She called for her daughter to respond. “ in the shower mommy” her fine voice respond for her mother to nod. “Be fast about that, we need to leave before seven thirty, I was told Riverside do have traffic during week days, besides it’s your first day at school, we can’t be late.” Her mother said for Hazel to step out with towel around her chest while her wet dark hair pour water on her body. Her wet lashes and blue eyes made her mother to smile as she walk towards her. “I missed Alpine” she said walking to her dressing table. “I know honey but we have to move” her mother said for Hazel to sigh. “I miss dad more” she said for her mother to tear up. “Ok… quick, your brother is set already.” Her mother immediately rushed out of the room not to burst into another tears of fresh memories of her late husband. Hazel immediately dressed up in a white short skirt and peach top wearing her cute white sneakers then leaving her hand dried hair falling on her shoulder. She apply a little lipgloss on her dry lips before sighing. “Your are beautiful, don’t be a victim of bully” she said to her mirror self. After staring at her beautiful face, her sharp nose and well carved jaw, she smile. “You are Webster princess, daddy’s girl” she finally said before she carry her bag and left her room. “I’m set” she called for her mother to give her the lunch packed she arranged for her. “ where’s Gabriel?” She asked for her little brother. “At the car already” her mother said carrying her car keys as they both walk out of their house. Immediately Hazel rushed to the sienna parked at their front as she was about to open the door, a red Jeep that was coming stop from hitting her. “Watch it stupid” Hazel said for the person to whine the glass down. Immediately her eyes open wide seeing the handsome face on shades who look at her. “ sorry” the deep voice said for Hazel to blush before she could respond he drove off. “ did you see that?” A boy of eleven years old with dark hair just like Hazel pushed his head out of the car smiling. “Oh my goodness Haze, you are blushing” he said laughing. “Shut up Gab” Hazel said opening the door to drop her school bag before she went to the front passenger side and sat down. “Who was that?” Her mother asked before she start the car and drove off. “I don’t know, he almost hit me so he stop to apologize.” She said as they drove off to school. “You call him stupid” Her brother said for Hazel to turn towards him glaring at him. “I’ve told you to control you insulting attitude Hazel” her mother said as she drive her kids to school. At Riverside high school principal office, Hazel and her brother with their mom watch the principal who was going through their files and later of transfer from their previous school. “Uhmm..miss Webster” The principal called Hazel who immediately sit upright smiling. “It’s says here, you are seventeen and will like to complete your twelve grade here at Riverside high school. We don’t usually take twelve graders but considering your statement of result, you can cope because it’s a brilliant one. so I will say congratulations.” She said for Hazel to smile. “Thank you Mrs….. “Mitchell ma’am” the principal said to Hazel mom who smile. “Thank your Mrs Mitchell” she said for the principal to sign on Hazel paper before she took her bother own. “Gabriel Webster, six grade that’s what you are about to enter so I won’t object. Also you have an excellent results I must say. Seems you Websters are brilliant” the woman said for their mom to smile. “Yes, we are.. thank you Mrs Mitchell.” Their mom said smiling. “You are?” The principal asked for their mother to smile. “Grace Webster… Mrs Webster” she said as the principal smile while they all stood up. “A nurse at riverside hospital?” She asked for their mother to nod. “Yea… newly transferred nurse” she said for the principal to smile. “My husband is a doctor there, a surgeon” the principal said for Grace to awkwardly smile. “You can leave Mrs Webster, the caretaker will come introduce them to their various classes” she said for their mother to sigh. “Ok.. thank you once again.Hazel watch over your brother” she said pecking her son. “Drive safe mom” Hazel said hugging her mother. After their mother left, the principal called on a caretaker who came to introduce The kids to their various classes. After introducing Gabriel to his class, he took Hazel to hers. Inside the twelve grade English class, the caretaker took Hazel in disrupting the class. “Sorry for interrupting miss Ann” the caretaker said smiling as all the students look at them. Hazel bow her head as she was feeling awkward already. “You have a new student on transfer, her name is Hazel Webster” he said for the student to keep silence. “Hazel find a sit to settle down, Miss Ann please go on” the caretaker said and left. Hazel scan all the class room till she finds and empty sit in the middle roll. Immediately she excitedly went to sit but frown after looking at her right. The familiar face of earlier the day was sitting next to her on her left and by her right was a Asian looking blond hair girl who was smiling at her and she smile back awkwardly. Hazel look at her left but the cold human was focused on their teacher. Immediately she brought her book out to focus as she listen to her teacher. After thirty minutes, the bell rang and the teacher left. Hazel turn to her left again and the person eyes and hers came in contact with each other for her to immediately bow her head. “Elias” a pretty blonde hair girl walk to the guy at Hazel side smiling. She pecked his lips as she sat on his lap while he just kept his cold self making Hazel to wonder what kind of human he is. “He’s always quiet but he’s the most handsome guy in the whole of Riverside high. His eyes are captivating” the blonde girl at her right said for Hazel to turn. “Hi… I’m Kira Nakazaki” she gave her hand for a shake which Hazel took immediately. “Hazel…Hazel Webster” Hazel shake her hands before she heard the familiar deep voice. “Get off me Gwen” he said for the blonde girl to quickly stand up. “I’m sorry El… I didn’t mean to offend you” she said for the Young guy to stand up and carry his school bag before he left the class room. “What are you looking at? The girl asked Hazel and Kira who immediately bow their heads. Immediately she ran after the guy for Kira to laugh. “She’s always begging” Kira said for Hazel to smile. She wonders what kind of person has such dark black jet hair with a sharp nose and dark red eyes looking like all this Anime devilish character. “Why is his eyes having shades of dark red?” She asked Kira who has been talking. “Oh that, rumor has it his family are witches but I don’t think so, because his family are super duper rich.” She said for Hazel to stand up carrying her bag. “It’s kind of giving the scary devilish handsome vibe” Hazel said as they both walk out of the class room. “Yea… but he’s too quiet. I can count how many times he has spoken since he registered in our school at nine grade. Then his eyes wasn’t actually the red shaded, it was kind of dull golden but not too long it became this dark red shaded.” Kira said as they went to science class. They both sat down as they teacher entered and introduced the new topic, after some teachings, he asked they all take their respective partners. Which Hazel was alone as she was new. “We have a new student?” He asked for Hazel to nod. “What’s your name?” He asked for Hazel to immediately respond. “Hazel Webster” she said for the man to nod. “You names sounds like intelligent people names.” He said for the class to giggle. “You are right sir” Hazel said for the teacher to smile. “Ok, since you think I’m right, show us the acid based titration we are about to do” he said for Hazel to immediately stand up as she arranged all her equipment. It took her less than fifteen minutes to come into conclusion for their teacher to clap. “ brilliant” he said carrying her result. “This is perfect, can you explain to the class how you did it?” He said shaking the conical flask with the pinkish liquid that was her result. “With quick explanation, we are using a strong base with strong acid. In the conical flask, holds our acid and the burette hold our base. Using the phenolphthalein indicator, I put a drop in the conical flask which became colorless but as I drop my base from the burette, it changes to pink at Ph 8.3. So when I got the exact perfect pink I stop the flow of the base in the burette” she said for everyone to clap. “Excuse me sir” a student raised his hand up. “Yes,” the teacher point at him. “You didn’t say the exact amount of acid and base need for the experiment.” He said for Hazel to sigh. “That’s the work of our teacher, I did the experiment with quick explanations so it’s left for our teacher to let us know how I came about the results with detailed information” she said for their teacher to smile. “I must say, you are a good student miss Webster. So let’s go in details and do the practical together” their teacher said as he start to explain Hazel works. After some minute, the practical commences and everybody became busy except Amanda who has no partner. “Be careful new girl, we don’t show off here” the blonde girl who was with Elias earlier walk to Hazel whispering. Elias who was focused on his work turn towards them after over hearing the words making the girl to immediately leave. Hazel turn to her side and immediately her eyes caught Elias one’s, she bow her head. The bell ring as all the student carried their back to leave. Hazel and Kira where about to leave the class too when Hazel felt someone hit her shoulder and she fell but someone caught her before she hit the ground. When she open her eyes, she gasp seeing the dark red shades eyes looking at her. “Be careful” his deep voice said after helping her to balance before he left making Hazel to stand still like a frozen statue…..
