Darwin had married another woman behind Alexa's back, all this happened only because Alexa couldn't bear children for Billionaire. Alexa's heart is broken! She no longer believed her husband's sweet words. Alexa knows that she is not the only woman in Darwin's life, Alexa just lives her life full of lies. The mask he had been using finally collapsed when he met the young man who was his student. The hot night that started out because of lust has now turned into a love that he is fighting for.

Chapter 1 BROKEN

Alexa looked at the man beside her right now, who was her husband and also the man she had been in love with for almost eight years. Alexa had known Darwin even before they chose to get married. Darwin is a man who is always there whenever Alexa needs him, but in the past two years, Alexa has felt Darwin is hiding something. What she feared happened: Darwin lied to her. The fact was revealed when Alexa found out that Darwin often sends a large amount of money to someone every month.

And the second fact that Alexa found was that Darwin married his friend from college, but not until he also had a child with that woman.

Alexa can't hide it since the accident that happened to her eight years ago. The accident was fatal, causing her to have difficulty having children. Alexa has tried various ways with Darwin; even without Darwin's knowledge, Alexa saw a gynecologist who was quite famous, but what she found was all nil.

''Darling.'' Darwin opened his eyes to look at Alexa, who was also looking at him with a look that was hard to interpret. Darwin pulled the body of the wife he loved so much, breathing in the fragrance of the body that always made Darwin calm. Meanwhile, what Alexa felt when she got that treatment was just stiff silence. I don't know; Alexa seemed to hate the romantic treatment Darwin gave her. Although, in the past, she always adored Darwin's embrace and affection but Darwin's treatment now seemed to slap Alexa's heart. That she was not the only woman in her husband's heart.

"Hmmmm. Alexa gently stroked Darwin's hair, which was now in his arms. "I love you, Alexa, and I will always love you." Darwin's words seemed like a lie to Alexa. What kind of marriage was it? Darwin played the role of the lie very well. Darwin raised his head when he didn't hear any reaction from his wife.

''Are you okay? Are you sick?" Darwin placed his hand on Alexa's head. However, Alexa quickly moved away from his body, making Darwin raise an eyebrow as he was confused by the change in his wife.

''I'm okay, honey; I love you too.'' Alexa briefly kissed Darwin's lips, which felt bland and foreign to his heart now.

''Alright, I'll prepare the meal before you go to the office.'' Alexa released Darwin's embrace and picked up her clothes that were scattered on the floor. Even though Darwin betrayed her-I don't know when it happened but Alexa still treated Darwin like a husband to be respected and served. Until he got fed up and divorced her. Then all the charades will end, and Alexa will not forget the sacred promises they made before God. Alexa would not leave Darwin, even though she had now been betrayed.

Darwin stares blankly at Alexa's back, who is now walking away from him. Every time Alexa leaves him with a smile, the fear of losing her gets higher. Darwin feels scared that the things he hides will one day be revealed. Darwin will not let Alexa go at any time. Until he dies, Alexa will be a woman who means a lot to him. Even though Darwin himself has hurt Alexa just because, one stupid night, he impregnated his friend Monica, who also became his mistress, Monica gave birth to a son who would become his successor. Darwin hopes that one day Alexa can accept his son and consider him her biological son. Darwin came out of his room in a full office suite. Darwin could smell Alexa's cooking, which was neatly arranged on the dining table. Alexa placed a cup of espresso and a cup of black coffee, which became Alexa's drink. Darwin looked puzzled at Alexa. Alexa never liked Americano; the woman only drank hot chocolate most of the time. But what he saw was very odd. Alexa casually sipped coffee that was still slightly steaming.

''Since when do you drink black coffee?'' Darwin finally opened the conversation when there was no conversation between them other than the clinking sound of clashing cutlery.

''Ahhh it's only been a few years since I changed my taste... It's not as bad as I thought; black coffee is much better.'' Alexa smiled before refocusing her gaze on the coffee cup in front of her, as bitter as her life was now.

''I don't know... I apologize for not being with you very often because of work.'' Darwin grabbed Alexa's fingers from the table and held them tightly.

"Where are our wedding rings? Darwin looked at Alexa's fingers, which were not wearing their wedding rings. Before, Alexa had never taken it off at all. Darwin knew Alexa was not a forgetful woman. Alexa pulled at her fingers frantically.

''I took it off because, yesterday, there was a university inspection, and we lecturers are not allowed to wear any jewelry.'' Alexa lied and said that her and Darwin's wedding ring was in a drawer. She took the ring off after seeing the affair Darwin had with her.

''Next time you can't take it off, it's a sign of our love, Alexa. Don't lose it.'' Darwin looked angry from the corner of Alexa's field, but Alexa's woman just nodded her head. She was too lazy to argue about a small matter that was not important to her. Alexa escorted her husband, arriving in front of their spacious mansion.

''Honey, I'm leaving; see you... I'll be back in a week. I love you, my wife." Darwin kissed the top of Alexa's head. Alexa just closed her eyes, enjoying the one moment she had always received for five years. Alexa waved her hand as she watched Darwin's car drive away. Alexa's smile immediately faded when she knew Darwin was not leaving because of work, but was back with his mistress Monica. Alexa changed her clothes to be more formal, taking her bag. Alexa had a schedule to teach afternoon classes, but she chose to go to the university to just breathe the air, which might be better than having to linger at home. Along the way, Alexa just gripped the steering wheel of her car; her mind was still raging about why she had to feel pain continuously, even though her parents had an affair. Alexa was dumped at a daycare center by her biological mother.

Alexa also can't have children, and now that her husband is having an affair, Alexa is thinking about how much more suffering she has to accept. Alexa is an accounting lecturer who is famous for being a killer but also sexy. It is not unusual for many students to stare at her with disrespectful eyes. Even the old lecturers looked at her like that. It was just that they didn't dare touch the wife of a famous businessman like Darwin Maxluce who could kill them with the snap of a finger. Alexa stepped into the classroom with her hair tied up. Now Alexa let it loose to touch her shoulders, with an all-black outfit making Alexa look many times more beautiful with dark red lipstick. Her hazel eyes can anesthetize every man who is fascinated by her. Alexa took the attendance of every student who attended her class, but there was one table that was still empty, making Alexa angry.

''Who's the one who hasn't come?" Alexa asked the class president.

"Sorry..." A man entered a bad boy suit and sat down at the empty table.

"Who told you to sit so casually?" Alexa stared coldly at the man, who stared back at her coldly as well. The man just raised one eyebrow, arrogantly, making Alexa want to be angry even more. If she wasn't thinking about today's exam, then Alexa would have left the class.

"Ahhhh... Well, I don't want to waste time." Alexa immediately distributed the exam papers to each table. And Alexa placed a similar paper on the desk of a cold man that she knew was named Oliver. The man who had caught her eye. Throughout the exam, Alexa just stared at Oliver, who was working on the questions seriously. Alexa could guess. Oliver may be a playboy by the looks of it; his face and the look in Oliver's eyes make the women, probably including Alexa, feel trembling.

"I want it!" Alexa was finally sure of what she was thinking. "Well, if you're done, you can collect it with Oliver, and you bring all the questions to my desk." Alexa smiled and walked out of the classroom, trying to normalize her heartbeat. Because Alexa's heart didn't usually beat fast unless she was with Darwin, her husband, first.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.
