Our Secret. Chapter 1 Prologue

"That's all for today's class, see you tomorrow."

That's the cue for our class to dismiss. But I don't want to stand in my chair. I don't want to go out in this classroom. I don't want the class to finish. Because I don't want to know what will happen to me after this. But I don't have a choice. Absent-mindedly, I put my things in my bag. And I feel a cold gaze towards me. I close my bag as fast as I could then stare back to the cold eyes.

He is Third. One of the famous boys in our Academy. He just stared at me with a bored look. Don't worry, I feel the same towards you Third.

"Follow me," he commanded me. I really don't want to follow but as I said I don't have a choice.

He walks in the pathway with chest out and stomach in. What a boastful man that keeps my nerves boiling. I just follow him behind. He is not that handsome. Also his skill in basketball is so-so. I really don't know why he is famous. I think he use *gayuma*, a love potion for girls to keep them in love with him. That's the only reason why they are so inlove with him. And also I know him a lot. He is not kind nor a gentleman. If you're not interested enough he can't look at you. Even in one glance, that's how he does towards me every single day. But today he looked at me, because his girlfriend instructed him to bring me to his girlfriend's house.

His girlfriend, Desiree, wants to talk to me. But I don't know if in a calm way of speaking or in yelling? When she yelled at me last day, at the rooftop. I know her with hiler bad attitude but after that incident I look at her like a demon. That girl thinks she's the most beautiful girl in the whole Academy. She also wants to be Miss Academy, a pageant in my school. And I am not sure if she will win. All students in the Academy think she's not pure when talking about kind things. Also she's not that pretty nor intelligent. And I don't think she has talent.

Me and Third are now in the parking lot and still walking towards his car. Will he drive me to Desiree's house? Maybe, because I don't have a car nor know where Desiree's house is. We stop in a red, sparkling sports car. What a beautiful car. Where on the earth did he get this luxury?

"Hop in," he demand

I just follow what he says. And he drives like this in a race. Crazy diver. If we had a car crash I would kill him. I watch him as he enjoys driving fast. I am curious why Third always obeys his girlfriend? I remember when Third and Jasmine are still together. He agrees to what Jasmine says. And now he has Desiree on his side and still he is complying with his girlfriend's demands. But whatever Desiree will say later I hope my patience will be long. I don't want to slap that girl. That's her territory and also she has a problem. And also I don't want to tarnish my good reputation in the Academy.

Many turns before we finally stop. And I see a big, beautiful modern house but this house can't make me awe. Because Jasmine's house is better. Jasmine's house is like a palace. Making you feel shocked, surprised and excited at the same time. So of all the houses that I've seen, Jasmine's house is greater than.

Desiree's house has a guard. And when the guard looked at Third no question needed as he just opened the gate for us. It is so obvious that Third is always going there and everyone knows him. As he steps inside the house I see many maids cleaning like there is no tomorrow. We climbed up stairs and he did not bother to look in Desiree's maids. What b*st*rd guy. I just bow to the maids and greet them 'good afternoon.' They greeted me back and followed Third as he opened the door.

"What did you do to my brother?"

Dumb found what I heard from Desiree as a step inside the room. She doesn't have manners to offer me a seat nor ask me what I want to drink. Also no introductions like 'good day' or 'how are you?'. She just jumps in the climax and just shouts what she wants to say. But I know her so much but I am still shocked. A rich girl promoting kind things in the Academy doesn't know what is kind. She just have a b*tchy attitude.

"I don't do anything," I said with my still voice.

"Liar. You said you also received the black mail. Then where is it? I want a proof."

She says that with an exaggerated tone as always.

"I throw it already. Because as I say at the rooftop. I thought it's a prank" I say with my coolheaded.

"You're lying. Okay Mandy, I will forgive you this time. Just give back my twin brother, alive and no scratch," she demanded.

If I am the one who captures her twin brother I will kill him with no hesitation. And the reason is Desiree's annoying condition. She's demanding even though she is not in the right position. But I am not a killer nor a kidnaper. I breathe in and out multiple times so my nerves will relax.

"Desiree, think carefully. What is the reason why I will abduct your brother? I am not his enemy for being school president. And if your reason out is I am close to Jasmine and I am the black mailer. Remember Third and Derek is the most close to her. We, you and me are just in circle of friends but not close friends," I explain length to her.

"So you want in a hard way don't you?"

She's using a mocking tone to me. And she never listens. She just wants to follow her wants and doesn't bother to hear any other suggestions. Even if it's the right decision.

"Okay, my parents have reported my brother missing to the police. And we already gave the black mail to them. They will trace you and put you in jail. And we will sue you. And no matter what you plead, we will not stop until you will get a whole life sentence."

She's crazy. She's like talking garbage. All that comes out of her mouth is garbage.

"Got that? Go out to my house. I don't want to see your face ever again," she said in vex.

I go out to her room and keep my composure at peace. I don't want to storm out and slap her all the way. I know she can't fight. She just cried in her boyfriend's arms. She just talks crap but can't fight. She got an ego to say that in my face. Even they give the black mail to the police I will not be track because I don't do that sh*t.

The door opens and I see Third looking at me like I am an insect. If I am an insect for him, then for me he is a disease. He is holding a healthy body until the host dies. What a sucker.

"I will drop you where you can ride a jeep."

He did not bother to listen to what I said. Like his b*tchy girlfriend. He just walk passed by me and walk straight to the stairs. I just chase him even I don't want to. It's so satisfying if I see him rolling down these stairs. As he promised he would drop me where jeeps are passing by, public transportation. I don't know how much the fare and where I will stop. Because this is the first time I went here in Demon's lair. I will just ask the driver later.

Right now, I am at the front of a house that looks haunted. It has a very creepy vibes that can make my bones shiver and also it's been very dirty for many years. It has a gate that has been locked but the fence is destroyed so the lock of the gate is not useful anymore. I hear something, like a creaking sound. I did not pay attention to that sound. Because I don't want an abandoned house plus the creaking sound in one. The creaking sound is continuously with a knock. The jeep is so slow today. Please jeep I need you right now. I don't want to listen but I figure out the creak and knock has patterns. Three creaking sounds, then three knocks and then three creaking sounds again. It's repeating. I am questioned right now. Is that a ghost? A ghost that has a pattern? Is there a ghost that knows the pattern? And also I think that pattern is familiar? Is that a morse code? SOS in morse code?

Because of my curiosity, I abandoned the jeep that I have been waiting for ages. And go inside the horror house. I follow the sounds. They say curiosity kills a cat. But I say I am not a cat. So here I am in the back of the creepy house. I believe the sounds are coming from the underground. Because I just found out that there is a door at the back of the creepy house that I guess is underground.

"If there is a human being there please knock two times," I shout.

I think I am crazy shouting like that. I have so many what if's right now. What if it's not a human? And thank goodness it knocked two times. Yey I am not crazy. Wait, that's the person below. I immediately open the door but it's no use. I think it's locked from the inside or whatsoever. I observe my surroundings then I see a big rock.

"If you're near the door, please step aside. I am throwing rocks to destroy the door," I shout out of panic.

I count to 30 to be sure that a person is stepped aside. Then I throw the rock with all of my strength. The door is not fully destroyed but it makes a crack. I kick the door so it will fully destroy. I kick and punch until the hole in the door is the size of a human. So I can enter freely. Then I see the stairs going down. It is dark so I use my phone and open the flashlight. I observe the scene and I notice a teenage boy that has rope on both his hands and feet. He also faced down. He looks at me and I witness there is a handkerchief in his mouth and he's crying a lot. I walk fast into him. I untie his hands but it's so hard. We were in a desperate situation so I cut the tie using my teeth. After I cut the tie in his hands he wanted to sit up. I helped him. He unties his mouth right away. And I untie his feet. This rope in feet is not troublesome so I untie just using my fingers.

"Are you okay Derek? Who did this to you? Are you in pain? Did you eat already?" I ask Derek continuously.

Yes I found Derek. He is alive.

"Mmmmm," he whimper

I notice that his neck has been slashed and has dry blood in his neck, clothes and even in the handkerchief in his mouth. I am horrified by what I saw. His neck's been wounded directly in his Adam's apple.

"I-i will call for help. Ambulance and police."

I really don't know what to say and what to do. But just tapping my phone with my hands is shaking uncontrollably. I feel sorry for Derek and afraid that he is in danger. I need to find help fast. Because I don't know what will happen to Derek.

I was once the princess of the Upper East Side, but now I’m just "debt wrapped in pretty skin." To keep my father alive in a federal penitentiary, I signed a contract I didn't fully understand. I thought it was about restoring my family's name, but producer Barnett Orr treated it like a bill of sale for my soul. Inside his limousine, the air smelled like gasoline and fear. Barnett didn't want a star; he wanted a victim. He bruised my jaw and ripped my vintage silk gown to shreds, laughing because he knew I couldn't fight back without signing my father's death warrant. "Don't forget who owns you, Felicity," he whispered. When he dragged me into Dewitt Knight’s penthouse party, I was a walking disaster. I huddled in Barnett’s oversized jacket, my lip bleeding and my spirit shattered. The elite crowd didn't see a victim; they saw a fallen girl selling herself for a role. A former rival poured red wine over me, and the room erupted in cruel laughter while Barnett told everyone he was just "testing my commitment." I looked up at the balcony, locking eyes with Dewitt Knight. He was a god in a bespoke suit, looking down at me with cold, lethal disgust. He didn't see the bruises or the desperation. He only saw a transaction he found beneath him. "So the rumors are true," he said, his voice cutting through the music. "The Aguilars really will do anything for money now. Even this." I was trapped between a monster who wanted to break me and a man who thought I was trash. No one cared that my father's life depended on my silence. When Barnett cornered me in a guest room later that night, his belt jingling like a death knell, I realized no one was coming to save a girl like me. I fought back with a crystal vase, shattering it against his shoulder, but I was drowning in my own terror. Just as Barnett lunged for my throat, the door was kicked off its hinges. Dewitt stood there, finally seeing the blood on the carpet and the map of purple bruises on my bare back. He chased the monster away, but I didn't feel safe. I locked the guest room door, wedged a chair under the handle, and slept with a silver letter opener pressed against my skin. When I crept into the kitchen at midnight and found him waiting in the shadows, I aimed the blade at his heart. "In this house, no one hurts you," he promised, his voice a low velvet rumble. But in a world where I had already been sold once, I knew that even protection came with a price I couldn't afford to pay.

The Billionaire's Secret Triplets: Mom's Revenge

HONEY MULLINS

Six years ago, I was a naive girl sold by my father to the powerful Sanders estate, only to be tossed onto the streets after a brutal assault they labeled "marital infidelity." I fled the country pregnant and broken, hiding from the shadow of a husband I had never even met. Now, I've returned to New York with my triplets to sign the final divorce papers and disappear forever. But Archibald Sanders-the man I was told was a crippled recluse-intercepted us with the cold precision of a predator. He didn't see the woman his family destroyed; he saw a gold-digger who had shamed his name. His security team hunted us to a grimy motel, using tactical force to snatch my children away and drag me to his glass-walled empire. In his office, he loomed over me, demanding a DNA test and threatening to throw me in prison while my babies were lost to the foster system. He was convinced I'd cheated, yet he stared at my sons with a haunting confusion, unable to ignore the stormy blue eyes that were a perfect mirror of his own. I stood there, paralyzed by his scent-the sharp tang of rain and expensive leather that triggered the icy dread of my worst nightmares. How could he accuse me of betrayal when he felt exactly like the monster who had shattered my life in that dark hotel room? "I'll sign anything," I sobbed, "just give me my kids." But the game changed when my five-year-old son hacked the tower's security, holding the skyscraper hostage to save me. In the chaos, a fragile, silent boy-Archibald's secret son-wandered into the room and reached for me as if I were his missing soul. Archibald's face turned to stone as he tore up the agreement and locked the doors. "Until I find out why my son is looking at you like that," he growled, "you aren't going anywhere."

The Silent Bride's Billion Dollar Contract

Landslide

My bank account showed exactly $42.18, and my student loan notifications were flashing red. I lived in a sweltering Queens apartment with my Aunt Lydia, where the air was thick with the smell of stale frying oil and the constant threat of being homeless. Lydia handed me a grainy photo of a man twice my age and told me she had already "sold" me to him. He was a dry cleaner looking for a wife, and in exchange for my hand, he would pay off her credit cards and my debt. If I didn't show up for the date that night, my boxes would be on the curb by midnight. I arrived at the cafe in a state of panic, my selective mutism making it impossible to even breathe. In the crowded room, I accidentally sat at the wrong table. Instead of the man from the photo, I found myself facing Gerhard Holcomb—the cold, terrifyingly handsome billionaire whose family owned the very museum where I worked. He didn't send me away; instead, he studied my trembling hands and offered me a different deal: a two-year contract marriage, a two-million-dollar payout, and a strict clause forbidding any children. I signed the papers and moved into his Park Avenue penthouse, thinking I was finally safe. But when I went back to the old apartment to retrieve the only memento of my dead parents, Lydia lashed out, leaving me bleeding from a head wound. Gerhard’s retaliation was absolute—he had her arrested and her building foreclosed on within hours, claiming he was simply "protecting his assets." As I recovered in his silent, glass-walled home, I saw a call from a famous socialite flash on his phone, and a cold truth settled in my gut. I wasn't just a wife; I was a placeholder, a silent shield used to fend off the women from his past. I looked at the massive pink diamond on my finger and realized the silence I had lived in my whole life was about to become my most expensive prison. I had traded a life of poverty for a high-stakes game of shadows, and now I had to survive the man who claimed to own me.

SHANA GRAY

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
