His Cure (Being His Exclusive Writer) Chapter 1 Hey,I've got an exclusive offer for you.

The church bell sounds at a far distant.

Gregory reached out for his drug and battled with the bottle as he struggled to open it.

He poured some tablets on his palm and chugged it down his throat and released a grunt.

The sun that penetrated through the curtains glinted at his shirtless back and side face, makinghim look more ethereal.

Gregory is a handsome man and you could never imagine such a man to be a loner. Someone that is bit down by his dark pasts.

He stared up at the ceiling and sighed.

Part of his hair fell down and covered his right eye.

The ray of the sun on his lips make them too pink to be real.

He made a turn around and went to stand by the window.

He glanced at the wall clock.

It's almost time.

In five minutes time, he would get his cure.

He breathed out heavily.

His phone vibrated on the bed and he went to grab it.

He looks at the caller before swiping to the right then placing it on his right ear.

"Good morning, sir Gregory. Hope you had a great night?"his secretary, Harry's voice sounded.

"It has always been the same. Why did you call?"he replied, hoarsely.

"Mr Buckley said he would like a dinner date with you. I do think this is a great opportunity as you both would discuss well about business."

A scoff escape from Gregory's perfect lips.

He went back to the window and look out into the gentle morning.

"I'm not going. We can always discuss on the phone. If he wishes for a visual discussion, then we can always have one on Zoom."he replied.

"Gre..."

"You've been by my side for a long time, Harry. You, of all people, should know that fact."he breathed out and scuttles to the table.

"He said if he doesn't see you then he cannot invest. Gregory, just this once, huh?"

He grabs the bottled water and paused.

"Is he investing in my face?. It's his loss for not investing, not our's. Why would he care about my face, tho?. Shouldn't his main concern be on the business?. Besides, you're there.. so.."he opened the lid of the bottle and raised it up to his lips.

"Ugh; Trying to convince you is like trying to turn a big rock over. I'm hanging up."Harry hissed before disconnecting the call.

He drank a reasonable amount of water before placing it down.

He saunters to the percolator in the room and grab a cup then place it under the machine after turning it on.

When the cup was half filled, he turned off the device.

He added some sugar and cream inside it then brew it together with a spoon.

He took a sip and breathed out in some kind of relief.

He walks back to the bed and his phone buzzed indicating a new notification.

His eyes brightened up and he rushed towards it.

*My cheating boyfriend from your favorite author has been updated.*

A smile appears on his lips.

Ten 0' clock. She never misses.

Every Ten 0' clock of each passing day, he tends to forget about the thorns of his life.

Although, that only lasted for some hours but it still makes him feel better.

He clicked on the notification, unlocked the chapter with coins then started reading.

The story revolves around a certain young woman whose name is Eva.

She is an ambitious lady that runs a painting shop.

She is deeply in love with her boyfriend, Rex.

Apparently, the man is jobless and is only leeching off her. He doesn't love her, but he harbours lust for her instead.

He sleeps around with other ladies while faking an innocent boy in front of Eva.

All this goes on for a long time and finally, Eva proposes to him, still unaware of tge fact that he'd always been cheating on her.

Eva went ahead and suggested they join their resources together and this piqued his interest.

After getting married to her, he would take over her little company then make it his completely and divorce her.

A week to their wedding, Eva caught him walking another woman inside a hotel and she went after them.

It was too late of a discovery but, it was better than be deceived forever.

She ended things with him right there and went back home with a sorrowful heartThen, later, she met with a rich man who expresses his sincere love for her but she was a bit scared.

After many demonstration and show of affection towards her, she finally accepted him.

She found out later that he is also married with a kid.

She felt that her entire life was messed up.

She moved to another country with the help of her aunty and went to work under a big painting shop.

She fell in love with her boss but he seem totally out of a thing like that.

But she later managed to tame him.

She fell first, but he fell harder

So far, it's been an amazing read for Gregory.

And now he is currently reading the semi - finale chapter.

It's where Eva is getting married to her boss.

He sipped out of his coffee quietly as she scrolled through the contents.

After an hour and some minutes, he was done reading the chapter and another message pops up immediately.

It says the author has released the final chapter and the epilogue.

"Nice."he whispers.

He tapped on it, unlocked with coins, gifted the author out of excitement and started reading.

After he was done, his eyes caught the author's note.

His face instantly holds a frown when he saw what she wrote.

*To my dear all, thanks for reading and supporting. However, I'm sorry that I have to stop writing for now, due to some reasons. It's not permanent. I will see you next time!*

Gregory's lips shivers and he gritted his teeth.

How the hell is he supposed to live without her write - up?

Anger burnt inside his stomach and he drank his coffee in a Go.

And idea pops inside his head and his eyes beams.

He went to her personal page on Instagram and sent her a private message.

*Hey?. I've got an exclusive offer. Wanna be my personal writer?. I will pay you.*he sent.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I stood in the darkest corner of the Pierre Hotel’s ballroom, my cheap polyester dress itching against my skin while my wristband buzzed with a DARPA Priority Red alert. In front of the city’s elite, my fiancé Bryce Calloway took the stage, not to toast our future, but to publicly end our engagement and announce he was with my sister, Chloe. The room turned on me instantly, a hundred pairs of eyes pinning me down with pity and disgust as they physically backed away like I was contagious. When I returned home, my mother shattered a crystal vase at my feet, screaming that I was a humiliation and a "dropout" who didn't deserve a cent of the family fortune. Chloe and Bryce mocked me, laughing when I told them I had a mission with the National Security Agency, convinced I was either a pathological liar or a low-level criminal. They watched in horror as a black, unmarked military helicopter descended on our backyard to extract me, yet they still chose to believe I was being arrested for drug trafficking. They saw a pathetic girl who couldn't even parallel park, never realizing I was Dr. Nova Vance, the lead physicist behind the world's first successful fusion reactor. To secure funding for my research and gain a "fortress" of a name, I signed a thirty-day marriage contract with the arrogant billionaire Roman Knight. He treats me like a fraud, convinced I’m a gold-digger who failed out of college, while I quietly run global energy simulations from his guest bedroom. He has no idea that the "loser" he’s forced to live with is the same anonymous grandmaster who has been ruthlessly crushing him in online strategy games for months. "The contract is active," I told him, looking past his expensive suit. "But don't expect me to be your maid."

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband's Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn't find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn't even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father's legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn's party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara's health and managing every detail of Caden's empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I'd drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause-if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I'd forgotten.
