Ralph and Charlie were identical twins, but that was all they had in common. Charlie became Ralph's worst enemy when their billionaire father transferred the Thompson's Empire to Ralph, leaving Charlie behind. Now, Charlie was determined to do all within his power to destroy his blood brother, leaving nothing out. What became of the two brothers at the end?

MY DEVILISH TWIN Chapter 1 The Cold Dark Night

It was a cold, night and Charlie got into his car and drove towards Nina's house, which was on the outskirts of town.

As he got closer, he could see the faint glow of the porch light shining through the darkness. He pulled up to the curb and parked his car, making sure to turn off the headlights so as not to alert Nina to his presence.

He took a deep breath and stepped out of the car, the cold air sending shivers down his spine. The night was quiet, save for the sound of crickets chirping in the distance. Charlie walked up to the front door and stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do next.

He knew that Nina had always had a hard time telling him and his identical twin brother apart, so he decided to use that to his advantage. He took a deep breath and cleared his throat, mimicking Ralph's voice as best he could.

"Nina, it's me, Ralph. Can I come in?"

Charlie heard footsteps coming from inside the house and he couldn't help but feel a little nervous. What if Nina realized it wasn't Ralph? But he pushed the thought aside and waited patiently for her to open the door.

After a few moments, the door opened and Nina stood there, rubbing her eyes sleepily. "Ralph, what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice groggy.

Charlie forced a smile and stepped inside. "I couldn't sleep and I just wanted to see you," he said, still mimicking Ralph's voice as much as he could, and walking into the sitting room.

Nina closed the door and went on to sit on one of the sofas. As soon as she sat down, Charlie moved close to sitting beside her, putting his arms around her neck, with his eyes fixed on the TV screen, as if what was being shown caught his attention.

He had been waiting for this moment for a long time to get back at Ralph, and now that it was here, he was determined to make the most out of it.

Just a few days ago, Ralph had been handed over the largest of the family companies, JFlier Group by Mr Thompson Jaden, their father, making Ralph the CEO of the company.

Ralph was ecstatic and felt honoured that his father had chosen him to take over the company. But Charlie was not happy about it at all.

He had always felt that his father favored Ralph over him and this was just another example of it.

Charlie believed that he was just as capable as Ralph and should have been allowed to run the company.

The fact that his father handed over the largest of the family companies to Ralph was a bitter pill for Charlie to swallow.

It was like a confirmation that he was the black sheep of the family, despite his several attempts to please his father.

He had dropped out of different Universities and later managed to graduate with an ordinary diploma, but to Mr Thompson, this was not good enough. Ralph on the other hand had graduated as the best student from one of the most prestigious Universities in the city.

Just a few days ago, Charlie had packed his bags to leave the family house. His anger was palpable and his departure from the house tripled his feeling of resentment for Ralph.

He felt he had been overlooked by his father and had been given nothing significant, while Ralph was given everything on a silver platter.

Charlie took a deep breath, trying to keep his composure as he looked into Nina's eyes. He had to make sure that she believed he was Ralph. He cleared his throat and spoke in a low, sultry voice, mimicking his brother as best as he could.

"I missed you, Nina," he said, hoping that his voice was convincing enough. "I couldn't help but think about you all day, and I just had to come to see you."

Nina's eyes widened in surprise, and she took a step back, looking at him suspiciously. "Ralph, I'm very surprised you're here this time of the night."

Charlie nodded, keeping his eyes locked with hers. "I just had to see you, Nina. I need you."

Nina's expression softened, and she took a step closer to him. "What's wrong, Ralph?" she asked, concern etched in her features. "Is everything okay?"

"Sure. Just felt like making love with you." Charlie said, his voice low and seductive. "I can't stop thinking about you."

"Really?" Nina asked as Charlie drew her closer to himself with his hands clasped around her waist.

Before Nina could say anything more, Charlie grabbed her face with his two hands, looking into her eyes passionately.

Nina found it difficult to resist, even though she perceived the smell of his perfume. It was not like Ralph's usual smell, but she believed Ralph must have changed his perfume.

She didn't seem to be bothered by this right now as she was lost in a world of passion and desire where every other thing did not seem to matter.

Charlie stylishly dragged Nina into the bedroom, and as the night progressed, the chemistry between Charlie and Nina intensified, culminating in a passionate kiss.

I stood at my mother's open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest's voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone-he brought Charla with him. He claimed she'd had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

My bank account showed exactly $42.18, and my student loan notifications were flashing red. I lived in a sweltering Queens apartment with my Aunt Lydia, where the air was thick with the smell of stale frying oil and the constant threat of being homeless. Lydia handed me a grainy photo of a man twice my age and told me she had already "sold" me to him. He was a dry cleaner looking for a wife, and in exchange for my hand, he would pay off her credit cards and my debt. If I didn't show up for the date that night, my boxes would be on the curb by midnight. I arrived at the cafe in a state of panic, my selective mutism making it impossible to even breathe. In the crowded room, I accidentally sat at the wrong table. Instead of the man from the photo, I found myself facing Gerhard Holcomb—the cold, terrifyingly handsome billionaire whose family owned the very museum where I worked. He didn't send me away; instead, he studied my trembling hands and offered me a different deal: a two-year contract marriage, a two-million-dollar payout, and a strict clause forbidding any children. I signed the papers and moved into his Park Avenue penthouse, thinking I was finally safe. But when I went back to the old apartment to retrieve the only memento of my dead parents, Lydia lashed out, leaving me bleeding from a head wound. Gerhard’s retaliation was absolute—he had her arrested and her building foreclosed on within hours, claiming he was simply "protecting his assets." As I recovered in his silent, glass-walled home, I saw a call from a famous socialite flash on his phone, and a cold truth settled in my gut. I wasn't just a wife; I was a placeholder, a silent shield used to fend off the women from his past. I looked at the massive pink diamond on my finger and realized the silence I had lived in my whole life was about to become my most expensive prison. I had traded a life of poverty for a high-stakes game of shadows, and now I had to survive the man who claimed to own me.

SHANA GRAY

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
