A seventeen-year-old boy, Kovu, must enter an enchanted forest to rescue his little sister. The influence of an evil Sorcerer, Yckor, possesses the Forest.
The sunlight reflected on the golden mantle of the wheat field.
A vast field that extended for three kilometers, and at the end of it began the birch groves, ubiquitous in this place.
There, leaning against one of these trees, was Kovu, sleepy and possibly dreaming of some delicious apple pie like the ones his mother prepared since you could see a slight smile on his face. This dream made him wake up, that is, his appetite since it was close to one in the afternoon and lunchtime was approaching.
Kovu got up heavily since he was somewhat chubby, with a bulging belly, his hair was black, and his nose was quite pronounced, which caused him to be the object of bullying at school. Deciding to take the couple of kilometer trail that would take him back to the cabin where he lived with his mother and little sister Kiara, he began to walk.
Already on the way, Kovu thought happily about the apple pie, but the week was about to begin; it was Sunday, and he would have to attend school the next day. It made him lose his spirit, not because he didn't like to study; he was diligent in mathematics, but because he would have to see Enzo.
Walking on the path with a somewhat worried expression, he thought, why does he always have to mess with me? He removed the sweat from his forehead with the back of his left hand, unconsciously puffing with a whistle from his lips since the path had always made him tired when walking through it. He also meditated; I'm already fed up; the next time he bothers me, he'll realize what I'm capable of, clenching his hands and jaw tightly. And without realizing it, when he looked ahead, he was already on the cabin's porch.
It was a nice cabin of modest size, and a little demolished by the passage of time and lack of money, with the facade painted a bottle green color and the inside very clean, with only three rooms, the kitchen, Kovu's modest room and the one where his mother and his little sister slept, which was also not significant.
The door knob turned, with a squeak, from the inside, and Kiara was standing in the doorway,
"It's about time; why did it take so long."
Kiara was a fourteen-year-old girl with beautiful honey-colored hair, white skin, and green eyes.
Kovu, who was seventeen years old, was standing there with a look of irritation and remaining silent; he finished waking up when he heard Kiara's voice, and when Kovu took a step to enter, he almost tripped, since Oliver, his young Beagle, jumped to his legs from the excitement of seeing his master. Kovu finally managed to enter with a certain heaviness as he walked, more because of how upset he was than his body weight. Kovu headed to the kitchen without even turning to see Kiara.
"Hello, mom, what's to eat?" He said to his mother as he saw her standing before the stove.
"Your favorite dish," his mother responded.
Kovu's face, in an instant, went from darkness to light.
"It can't be. Did you make meatloaf?
"And mashed potatoes, a delicious spaghetti, and lettuce salad with tomato."
"What do you think?" I know my good-hearted son, Her mother told her lovingly.
Kovu's mother loved her children and usually spoiled them, although she could also be very strict. And on this occasion, she would ask her firstborn for a big favor.
The three of them sat at the table and enjoyed lunch, although Kovu and his mother were thinking about the difficult times ahead.
