Chapter 1 First day of school

As students came for the first day of school after the summer, excitement filled the Dalton College campus. Andre dashed into the college parking lot, unbuckled his seat belt, and dashed into the dining grounds.

He came to a halt at the entrance, seeing clusters of students gathered in various groups, noisily chattering about their summer activities, flings, some new faces and some familiar ones.

He smiled as he remembered the familiar noises and smells. He had overlooked this. He'd missed this kind of atmosphere. He'd been missing his friends.

Friends! When it comes to friends, where are these lunatics? Andre reflected as he frantically searched the cafeteria for the very recognizable faces.

He turned around with a huge grin on his lips when he heard the customary boisterous banter and shrieks of laughter.

His gaze was drawn to their usual seat at the back of the cafeteria, where about twenty-four basketball players were conversing loudly and brazenly flirting with the girls surrounding them.

'Look who decided to show up to school today.' Bill yelled from his seat, prompting everyone's gazes to move in the direction of his gaze.

'Oh hi' Anders, his best buddy, rose from his seat and embraced him in a bear hug.

He'd missed his friends so much. He turned to the girls who weren't as close to him after greeting his boys.

The majority of the girls were cheerleaders or other gorgeous girls attempting to attract attention and potentially hook up with one of his friends or, better yet, him. Yes, He.

Adrian had received most outstanding man since he began playing basketball in his senior year of high school owing to his numerous accomplishments. He was an amazing student with perfect grades in all areas and an all-time MVP in all of his basketball games.

He was also a very gorgeous man from a very wealthy family with old money and all the hereditary looks money could not buy. They were endowed with the most exquisite blend of fine Latino, fine Spanish, and fine French looks, meticulously blended to produce the most faultless guys that many had seen.

So it was no surprise that Adrian had girls swarming him and vying for his attention. And he entertained them. He entertained the lot of them for at least a brief while each.

As a result, he was given the well-known appellation of playboy. Despite this common awareness, the girls couldn't stop wanting more of him and literally threw themselves at him each time.

And the lads' envy of a man who was born with everything was at an all-time high. They both envied and revered him. He was not to be trifled with.

Andre took the seat between Bill and Anders and quickly joined in on the sports talk.

In another part of campus, a new freshman student had just been dropped off by her father for her first day of college.

Adrianna couldn't stand being separated from her family for long, and she was struggling to accept her family's decision to send her to a college far away from home.

Her family was determined to provide her with the best education money could buy, and Dalton College had an unrivaled reputation as one of the best universities in the world.

Her family was one of the wealthiest families in Greece, and because of their superior net worth, they were able to live extremely nicely for many years even if they remained jobless.

After giving her father a lengthy hug, Adrianna slid out of the car and Then her father drove away in the direction of home.

Celine yelled with delight when she saw her dearest friend, "Ooooouuuuuuuu!"

Adrianna and Celine had been closest friends since kindergarten and had been inseparable for many years until Celine relocated to Atlanta with her family a few years ago.

Despite the distance, the friends had always remained close and kept in touch by innumerable phone conversations, emails, messages, and other kinds of communication.

As a result, they had always kept up with each other's lives, and when Adrianna told Celine about her family's college selection for her, Celine couldn't have hoped for better news.

'Celine' Adrianna smiled upon seeing her best friend.

It had been a very long time since they had physically met, and the excitement and joy were palpable.

They raced into one other's arms and smothered each other with kisses and hugs.

Celine was overjoyed to see her dearest buddy again.

'Did you get a hostel already' Celine asked

'I thought I was staying with you. Didn't you say that you had a spare room in your apartment?'

'Well you did not really reply to that so I guess I thought your parents had other plans for you. I thought they had organized accommodation elsewhere'

'No babe, I told them that I was going to move in with you and become your roommate'

'Okay fine. We shall move your property after school today'

'sure' Adrianna replied

They hurried off to join the rest of the girls, and when they arrived at the table, Celine presented Adrianna as her best friend to all of her friends, who greeted her with smiles and hugs.

Adrianna was grateful to have Celine in her life, especially since that she had just started a new school in a foreign nation.

It would have been considerably more difficult for someone as anti-social as her to make new acquaintances in a new setting.

But, thanks to Celine, she was able to join a terrific group of friends with excellent social status on her first day of college.

She couldn't have asked for a more perfect first day of college.
