"Leave me alone"! I sobbed, but he paid no attention. In any other circumstance, I would have melted beneath his touch. His tongue skimmed my flesh perfectly, and he held me closely while savoring the moment. When I thought Anderson was going to back off, he suddenly pulled back slightly and did something unexpected. His big canine teeth were visible when he opened his mouth. I pushed against him while pleading "no," puncturing his chest with my fists. When he reached the ends, his tongue flickered as it moved slowly over them. I let out an ear-piercing scream as soon as his teeth sank deep into my flesh, but no one came to save me. The demon guy was overpowering us with each passing second, and my wolf was cringing in terror. I begged him pathetically, "Please," but all he did was ignore me and tighten his grasp on my sides. As his wolf carelessly manipulated me, I had the sensation that my neck was on fire. He kept me up while still commanding me, even though my knees started to shake rapidly. I started to feel queasy, and then everything went black in a flash.

Chapter 1 Nancy's POV

The unclean epoxied wood floor was where Emily and I were dancing, quite close to one another and entirely unaware of everyone else. Whoever refused to dance with us or buy us drinks, that is.

Since this is my first time out, I have a terrible feeling that clubbing will turn into a major addiction. I found something really endearing about the carefree aspect of grinding on strangers and downing fruity cocktails whose names I can't recall. A random dark-haired man I had been dancing with recently said, "Let's get another drink," grinning at me. I hesitantly nodded as I looked at Emily, who compelled me to follow him right away. Once more, what was his name? I'm certain that it begins with a B. Brian, Brandon, and Bradley It's Owen, he said, looking at me with eyes the color of the Hulk's skin and observing my obvious bewilderment. Close enough are D and B.

"I know," I chuckled in a drunken haze, putting my pale palm in his and weakly grinning at him while staring at the sweat beads on his olive skin. My attention eventually went to the front of the room in an effort to avoid tripping over anything or anyone, but someone unexpected attracted my attention right away.

A white light appeared to be around the man who was standing a few feet in front of me. He had this distinct aura about him. His square jaw, high cheekbones, and chocolate brown hair were perfectly cut around his round face. I was now being held by his eyes, which were the most opulent shade of brown. My breathing had suddenly become erratic and heightened. I broke up my eye contact with the attractive stranger after what felt like hours. His tight shirt, which was tightly fitted to his slim, muscular frame, accentuated his well-defined abdomen as his biceps tore into the material. His brown complexion almost made me drool as it appeared to glisten in the harsh lighting. He was flawless.

I muttered "Mate" as my wolf was about to burst out to meet his.

"What?" I became aware that Owen was still there when he questioned me. He immediately lost his appeal after meeting my beautiful mate; after all, he was only a person. As he quickly inspected my body, Owen's face had a look of uncertainty.

His voice greeted me with, "Hello. Without giving Owen another glance, my blue pool eagerly swam toward my mate's. He spoke with a voice that was both delicate and deep. I inhaled his aroma, which was woodsy and manly, and it immediately caused my core to burn with yearning.

I anxiously chomped on my lower lip and mumbled, "H-hi. People sometimes talk about having butterflies in their bellies when they are frightened, but for me, this feeling was actually my agitated wolf writhing around and playfully chewing.

My knees started to wobble, making me feel like I was about to fall down, and he said, "I'm Morgan," holding out his hand. Gulping, I locked my legs to give my body much-needed support. His voice kept repeating in my thoughts, keeping my wolf and I on alert, and my entire body felt like it was made of jelly.

As our flesh connected, I shook his hand and said, "Nancy. Sparks raced through my body. Small electric shocks that zipped against my skin gave me the impression that they were warming me up before taking control of me. I focused my eyes on his again, noticing the golden flecks that I could not see from a distance and wondering if he experienced the same magnetic shocks. He did, in fact, sense the joining of our wolves, as evidenced by the little twitch of his silky lips.

Also this? As he looked over his rivals, his head nodded to Owen, where it was clear that he was jealous.

I laughed freely and honestly, saying, "I don't remember. When I heard Owen scoff and vanish from my side, Morgan immediately burst out laughing, totally drowning out the music. From inside, my wolf howled, letting me know she was enjoying the sound of Morgan's ecstasy.

"Well, Nancy, why don't you join me for a drink since you seem to be by yourself? He indicated a vacant area on the bar's side with a quiet purr. My hand was still in his when I realized it, but he didn't seem to bother as he pulled me along with him. I nodded. A straightforward act like holding hands offered the wolves such protection. The way things operated in the wolf world was amusing; everything was just different. It wasn't like dating in the human world, where you first get to know someone before developing a romantic relationship. With friends, your guard immediately drops since you know you'll end up together. You feel like you've known your chosen one forever after just five minutes together.

As he pulled me into the booth with him, I mumbled absentmindedly, "I never thought I would meet you here. As soon as we met, I could sense an alluring heat emanating from him, luring me in closer so I could feel the entrancing power he already possessed over me.

He moved toward me, seemingly reading my thoughts, and was just interested in having our bodies collide. "I didn't either. You've previously been here. My head was overwhelmed with Morgan's silky voice as I tried not to leap into his bones at this very moment.

No, I said sheepishly, this was my first time at this club or any club. The tiny gesture managed to temporarily soothe both of our wolves. My wolf, who was now enveloped in tranquility, put her head down in satisfaction, simply wanting to be near her chosen one.

You seemed to be having fun, he said, showing me two rows of pearly white teeth with a playful grin. Even if he tried to hide it with a glossy stare, the inquiring orbs' envious expression was clearly visible.

I mumbled, "Forget them," remembering all the strange boys I had been swooning over just before I met him. The thought of Morgan made my stomach churn a little. I didn't want Morgan to believe that I was a different kind of girl than I actually am.

He smirked devilishly while saying, "Forgotten," which made my heart sing with joy. He continued, sliding his palm up and down the side of my leg.

"You're very pretty, Nancy." His words made me feel as though I would melt into a puddle on the floor as honesty gushed from his soul.

He complimented me when my cheeks were blushing and getting hot. "I'm grateful, Morgan."

My skin began to feel hotter, and I noticed that my normally fair cheeks had developed an unsightly scarlet, which caused me to falter.

I averted my sight from the people in front of us, concentrating on the bartender who was pushing drinks over the counter, feeling anxious about even trusting the words to make it from my brain to my mouth without me seeming like a total fool.

"I'm beautiful?" His voice echoed throughout the little booth as he laughed once more. He grinned, grabbed my thigh, pulled me a little bit closer, and I felt my breath catch in my throat.

"Why thank you? I credit my father for my Puerto Rican ethnicity," he said. More sparks began to pulse through my body as our knees softly brushed, signaling the start of the mating process.

He studied me with a gentle gaze as his ear-to-ear smile expanded. I fake pouted, "Don't make fun of me," which made him run his palm up my side and under my chin. My eyes again connected with his as he gradually rotated my jaw, rendering both of us speechless for a brief period due to the already present intensity of the love between our wolves.

I'm sorry, but you're really simple to manipulate. I scoffed at Morgan's grin, and we both laughed simultaneously.

He suddenly murmured, leaping from his private seat, I have to go. His expression darkened as he looked around the room; his shoulders were spread and ready to fight, and his wolf was on high alert.

"Now?" He nodded slowly, and I yelled a little. Who just stands up and walks away in the middle of a conversation?

I blabbed! "Here,' taking my phone out of my bra, which causes his eyes to widen and his attention to my chest. As I handed the phone to him, I said, as a matter of fact, "Dresses don't have pockets." Don't judge.

He resisted speaking the thoughts I knew he wanted to express by rocking his head.
