Chapter 1 A night with a stranger

"Happy birthday, Ariel. Today is your birthday. I have prepared a surprise for you in room 206. Her childhood sweetheart said as he offered her a glass of wine, but she hesitated a little before gulping it down her throat. "I will be waiting for you in room 206."

Once Damien stepped out of the box, the sweet smile and tenderness on his face was replaced with coldness and disgust. Although he did not like her, he despised doing this to her even more. Because of his helplessness, he has no choice but to listen and do what will make the woman he loves happy. And that involved hurting Ariel. He had only wanted to break his ten years of friendship with her quietly, and stop giving her false hope. He wanted to tell her he had been with her all along because he liked her sister and that Elvira was also carrying his child. He knows what they planned for Ariel today will completely ruin her, looking for a random stranger to sleep with her. He has tried persuading them to change the plan but Elvira has threatened him with an abortion. He has no other choice than to listen to her. Besides, he had an eye on Ann's company as he had planned to take over once he married Elvira, the favourite daughter of the Ann's'.

"You can go to the room now."

He hung up immediately before calling the love of his life Elvira Ann. The phone was immediately picked up on the other side

"Everything is set, you can come out now."

A woman came out of the box opposite.

She held her body to the man's body and kissed him.

"My love, we will be married soon now that my sister has been pushed out of our lives, oh poor thing, she must think you love her so much."

"Yes, my love, we will be married soon. I now have enough reason to throw her out of my life and be with the love of my life", Damien Ford chimed in as he returned Elvira Ann's kiss.

Meanwhile, Ariel began to feel dizzy, so she decided to go to room 206.

Ariel staggered all along the corridor of the hotel. Her delicate and beautiful little face blushed because of the tipsiness and the effect of the drug had started kicking in; she was wearing a long white coloured channel dress, which accentuated her curvy figure. She was beautiful and charming.

"It's strange! I only drank half of the wine Damien gave me. I didn't drink much....."

She kept patting her forehead but her vision was gradually getting blurred. Walking into the elevator, she pressed the button for the third floor. Coming out of the elevator, Ariel went straight to room number 206 because of her dizziness. She couldn't tell that the number on it stated room 209, VIP room.

She barged into the room without knocking.

"Damien, I'm here. The surprise you gave me was not fun at all. I'm not enjoying it. My whole body is heated up!"

The room was not light but one could vaguely see the luxurious furniture of the bedroom as well as the king-sized bed. It's really worth it for a presidential suit

"I'm so dizzy, Damien, why are you not saying anything? Are we playing hide and seek? Please come out now, I'm really dizzy". She collapsed on the big and comfortable bed, still calling on Damien.

"Where are you? Damien please come out now."

She was feeling heat in her body and the heat was making her so uncomfortable, so she unconsciously pulled off her gown, leaving her in her underwear.

A man was sitting on the couch and listening to the woman but his body was heated up. The man had thought it was his assistant and a doctor that had come in. He had come here for a business deal, who would have thought that his partner would drug him and set him up with his daughter. Even though the heat in his body was making him uncomfortable, he was still listening to the sweet voice. He was looking at her in the dark before moving closer to the woman who was now in nothing but her underwear and lying on the bed before asking

"Who are you?

"Damian, your voice has changed and why are you asking me who I was? Is this all part of the surprise? Please no more surprises. Please get me water to drink. I'm thirsty"

The man picked a bottle of water from the bedside, uncapped it and gave it to her to drink.

She collected the water and gulped it down her throat but it still could not quench her thirst. He moved closer to her so he could see her facial features clearly, but Ariel pulled him down on the bed with her. He quickly held out an arm to support himself, but was almost on top of her. Her sweet smell waffled into his nose coupled with the heat in their bodies which was making their bodies hotter and hotter.

"I'm sorry. I will take responsibility for you"

The temperature of Ariel's body became even hotter as she stuck her body to the man's body.

"Damien, what are you saying...?"

"Sorry. I will be gentle."

Her legs were directly separated by the man as he stuck something hotter than their bodies into her private part.

"Ouch, it hurts" Ariel winced in pain and the man's movement paused slightly. However, he was still incomparably fierce as he as he directly entered her.

"Damien, it hurts!"

"Sorry, it will stop soon. Don't cry"

The man kissed her softly.

The room was soon filled with ambiguous sounds of collision of skin, the man's heavy breathing and Ariel's calling out Damien's name in her unconscious state.

The sunlight shone upon her worn-out face.

She opened her eyes wearily and felt weak and tired. She quickly shut her eyes when the sun's rays poured into them.

Gradually she gently opened her eyes and allowed them to adjust to the brightness of her surroundings.

Where am I?

She thought as she raised herself to a sitting position and tried to remember what happened. Lifting up the quilt she found herself naked. Why am I here?

She remembered vaguely that she was celebrating her birthday and Damien Ford had given her alcohol to drink. She didn't remember anything else.

She lifted the quilt and checked herself. The hickey, purple and blue mark accompanied with the pain of being torn down there only proved that she had been taken.

She smiled sweetly when she finally remembered that Damien had asked her to meet him in the room last night. She was happy that her first time was taken by the man that loved her so much.

She stood up, picked up her dress on the floor and dragged her tired body to the bathroom to freshen up.

Hardly had Ariel Ann left the room when a young man got into the room. He checked through but didn't see the woman.

"Boss, I'm sorry she is gone" the man said, and left the room.

As soon as she stepped into the living room she was greeted with a ferocious stare.

I was finally brought back to the billionaire Vance estate after years in the grimy foster system, but the luxury Lincoln felt more like a funeral procession. My biological family didn't welcome me with open arms; they looked at me like a stain on a silk shirt. They thought I was a "defective" mute with cognitive delays, a spare part to be traded away. Within hours of my arrival, my father decided to sell me to Julian Thorne, a bitter, paralyzed heir, just to secure a corporate merger. My sister Tiffany treated me like trash, whispering for me to "go back to the gutter" before pouring red wine over my dress in front of Manhattan's elite. When a drunk cousin tried to lay hands on me at the engagement gala, my grandmother didn't protect me-she raised her silver-topped cane to strike my face for "embarrassing the family." They called me a sacrificial lamb, laughing as they signed the prenuptial agreement that stripped me of my freedom. They had no idea I was E-11, the underground hacker-artist the world was obsessed with, or that I had already breached their private servers. I found the hidden medical records-blood types A, A, and B-a biological impossibility that proved my "parents" were harboring a scandal that could ruin them. Why bring me back just to discard me again? And why was Julian Thorne, the man supposedly bound to a wheelchair, secretly running miles at dawn on his private estate? Standing in the middle of the ballroom, I didn't plead for mercy. I used a text-to-speech app to broadcast a cold, synthetic threat: "I have the records, Richard. Do you want me to explain genetics to the press, or should we leave quietly?" With the "paralyzed" billionaire as my unexpected accomplice, I walked out of the Vance house and into a much more dangerous game.

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
