Regrets

Skyling sat on the edge of her bed in the orange light of the sun setting behind the horizon clutching the plastic stick with 2 bold lines to her chest as tears of joy roll down her face.

Skyling decided in that moment she wanted to share her new found joy and excitement with her husband of four years jake Baker. Skylin waked down the long cold hallway towards her husband home office, as she reached the for of the study she could hear her husbands low voice talking.

Jake was saying in an joyous tone, "I am so ecstatic to hear that you are finally coming back" skylin could tell instantly who jake was talking about as he only used that tone when he was talking to the person and that was his first love eve. Eve left the city for years ago before skylin and jake married.

Jake exclaimed "that's great I will pick you up for the airport then" it was after hearing that skyling waked back to her bedroom with the felling of sadness as her husband had never shown any emotion when talking to her he had only ever been cold and distant towards his wife.

Hours later layed in her pitch back and silent bedroom in the middle of the night did skyling let herself cry as she clung to her stomach where her unborn child rested did she say "don't you worry my darling mama will always love you no mater wat you will now unconditional love as long ad I am beside you. I already love you my little bean."

The next morning skyline wake at 6 am to make breakfast for her husband and inlaws as not to alert her husband that she knows he is planning to bring eve back home. Skyling was cracking the eggs to make jakes favourite omelettes when her brother in law Ben walked in to the kitchen purposely bumping into skylin making her burn her hand on the stove, she squealed out in pain.

Skylin was used to the treatment of her in laws as they have always treated her badly such ad bumping into her, nocking her down or using there words to hurt her skylin always kept a smile on her face and got on with her work hoping this will make jake fall in love with her the way she had fallen In love with him all those years ago.

Jake waked into the kitchen and that I'd wear he sore his wife stood at the sink with her wrist order the tap. As he was passing her jake murmured " can't you do anything right even one in your life." Skylin held her tears back as she move back to the stove to finish making breakfast before placing the plates on the table ready to be eaten by her husband and his family, she then when over to the fridge to take out some fruit to cut up for her own breakfast.

Jake finished his omelette then stood up and walked towed the kitchen door to the front door to heave for work as he called out to his wife " I won't be home till late don't wait up for me" " what about our dinner jake we have had this planned for weeks" skyling asked back following her husband to the front door " chose a piece of jewellery I will buy it for you as a way to make it up to you" jake replied shutting the door before skylin had the chance to replay stating she didn't care about expensive jewellery or money and that she just wanted to spend there anniversary together.
