Becoming a Luna was decided from the love the Alpha had to me as children, but as teenagers he simply passed by me, I guess I wasn't his type anymore, but graduating from my Luna academy I learned that there was an Alpha that had requested to meet me, my mother was a single Luna to our pack, and the Beta to which grew up with me had also something to tell me, ever since I graduated I haven't stopped thinking of my old friend from my Academy. She had been on my mind ever since we met. And now the old Alpha who brushed me off as a teenager came to get me just as I graduated. What could he possibly want?

My Luna's Hearts Chapter 1 1. Child crush

-7-year-old Bee Walking through the playroom, I rush to the large box of balls. Where could I have placed my blue star ball? Ares said he left it in this box for me to get after lunch, but I can not find it; it is so frustrating that I am about to cry.

Pushing the last ball to the side, I get up and fall on my buttocks, frustrated, I begin crying, "I want my star ball!" I yell as I keep crying, "Why can not I find my ball?" Crying louder, I hear my father run towards me; when he crouched to his knees, he picked me up to help me calm down; hugging my daddy, he caresses my hair and asks, "Now what is my beauty crying about? Mhm?" With hiccups, I try to tell Daddy because I know he will help me. I move to Daddy's face, place my two little hands on either cheek, and shout, "My star ball!" He laughs and quickly picks me up, holding my bottoms from the side. I grip his shoulder tightly. "Okay, Bee, let us find your ball," daddy said, leading me to the back where mean Ares was playing with the Beta twins. As daddy sat me down to play, Ares did something I do not care about. "Alpha!" I wanted to play with my ball, hopefully with daddy. Daddy's Beta called, and when Ares took my hand, I looked to see what he had put in; he had placed a cherry-flavored ring pop candy on my fourth left finger, "just something for you, I am marrying you when we grow up!" And our packs will merge to form a large one!" He extends his hands up to show me that it would be really bit with a big grin on his face, and I glare at him, grabbing my ball and throwing it at him, "You are not my mate!" I will not marry a mean boy like you!" I yell at him: "Bee!" "What are you doing, sweetheart?" I hear my mommy yell, "mommy!" as she walks with Annita. I look where I left my ball and see Ares holding his nose; I sniff out and show my tongue at him before running to get my ball; I run to my mommy when a really ugly wolf jumps from my right; I stop being afraid of this big wolf, "AAAAAAAA!" This huge wolf is going to eat me! Oh, no! I am the little red ridding hood, I am so scared I start crying again, that is when Ares takes my ball and throws it right on the wolf's nose, he takes my left hand and pulls it to the pack house, where the omegas are now waiting for us to arrive, the pack house goes into lockdown, and when everything is closed, Ares takes my left hand and pulls the ring angrily, "au! What did you do that for? I take back my finger, which now has a splinter. "You will never be my Luna! My Luna does not scream and cry! My Luna will be strong, not a crying baby like you!" I sniffle when I hear my mommy say, "Bee! Bee!" "Where are you!" I look for mommy; there are so many people here, and the entire pack is terrified; when I see her pushing an omega, I rush to her, "Mommy! Mommy!" Mommy hugged me tightly, "Oh my Bee, hunny Bee, are you okay?" I sniffled and nodded, "Ares hurt my finger, mommy." Mommy glared at my finger and walked over to where Ares was now speaking with Luna Annita, "Ares, what is the meaning of this?" "Why did you hurt Bee?" He scrunched his face; Ares' brown curly hair always bounces when he is angry, and he looks at me with his big green eyes, "Tattletale!" Now I really, really, really do not want you as a Luna!" He takes his thumb and turns it down on me when Luna Annita smacks the back of his neck. Mommy took the time to bake a pizza as soon as she took me to the kitchen, which was delicious! I clap my hands as Mommy sits me on the kitchen island, "I want to help mommy! "I want to help!" She smiled as she put on an apron, "Maybe next time, Bee, mommy needs to calm down, okay?" "How about you help mommy sign our pack's anthem?" I groan and throw my head back. I begin to sing the song, "paws, claws of our land, treating us in love does our moon goddess cause, warriors charge, omegas care, Gamma's and Beta's protect our Luna given to our mighty Alpha, paws, claws," I stopped when Alpha Hank opens the double doors of the kitchen, "Luna Breana, I need to talk to you, in private," I turned to see Alpha Hank was bleeding from his ribs, I gasped and put my hands on my mouth, mommy got me down the island, she holds my arms and shoulders "Bee, be my watcher, and make sure that pizza does not burn, okay, Honey Bee?" I nodded excitedly, Mommy turns to leave, and I rush to the oven; there is a window so I can see how it is going, and I try to find a stool to sit on, looking at this big kitchen, the four big refrigerators, the ten gas ovens, and on the other side, where the pantries are, I see a wooden stool, "Aja!" I dash to get it, move it to the stove, and mommy enters with a thud, the doors actually slam to the ground, "Bee!" I jumped from the stool and ran to my mother. "Yes, Mommy?" I asked her with my big puppy eyes, and mommy took me in her arms as we rushed out of the pack house, Luna Annita shouting at mommy, "Luna Breana!" Please hear us out; it was an accident!" I had no idea what was going on, but Mommy would not stop. -10 years later- Opening the door to my final class is the main teacher I wish would just die; it is bad enough I have to help this school maintain neutral loyalties and avoid an all-out war. "Oh, Miss. Bee Beeb, please take a seat; do not worry, this material will be a take-home for you." I closed my eyes, fully aware that I was about to get the cheerleader squad on my bubble buttocks for this. I am now 17 years old and graduating from Fangs High, a private school for werewolves who can afford it. As a Luna, my goal is to become the Luna for my pack and be mated to a top Alpha, which is obviously one of the bearing packs, or if I am fortunate enough to attend the Alpha King's ball, I will be mated to the strongest of all. And I can finally kill Alpha Hank for killing my father. Walking ahead, I pay no attention to the wolves of my classes as if it were any other day, and I have the most annoying cheerleading nickname, "Beep beep, here comes the quien b*tch." I rolled my eyes without even turning. I take the second row on the bottom as usual because my professor has the strangest crush on me; I shiver at the memory of when I found out; it only made me more determined to do my work and get the hell out of here. The only advantage of being here for me is that my Beta Danny also attends classes here; he is my chick because I do not have any girl friends; in fact, all I have are Danny, my mother, and Lilian, who is the cook of my pack. The professor quickly handed me a folder containing a heart-shaped sticky note. I take it off and get up a little to put it back on his desk, "Beep, beep, do not hold yourself too much, I do not think I can hold your big f*t as*!" I heard one of the twins make fun of my thick as*, it is not my fault I am a big hourglass, size L in everything and a full C cup for a chest, "Good you would not fit even if you warned me," I retorted, everyone made the burn sounds, when the professor took our attention again, "Please pay attention to the class and not Miss. Beep." I open the folder with one hand while my elbow rests on the desk, place my wavy blond hair behind my ear, and begin reading the documents while holding my cheek. As my chest rises, I feel someone pierce right through me. I did not dare to look for who; I learned the hard way that it is better to be ignorant fools than to know why, because not all of them are stupid reasons. In no time, the bell rang, getting up from my chair, someone takes my folder, I run behind the creep, as he opens it, I reach and take the papers off the folder, walking backwards. I was about to turn when I realized the man behind the folder was Ares.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.
