Will fate work along with these two mismatched mates, Or will they end up in tragedy due to their differences?

A Luna’s Blunder Chapter 1 1

It was a jolly evening for the moon goddess. It was the night of the full moon celebration and she was going to host the celebration like she always did. She was going to have all the gods and goddesses in her abode; wining and dining with her as chatter and laughter would float across the table between them all while they ate and drank.

Her right hand was glued to her side throughout the day, running to and fro to make everything perfect as she gave instructions and preferences on every design and delicacy that was to be served, especially the wine... because that was her favorite.

She loved drinking but she claimed it wasn't a habit, she said she just did it more out of loving the taste of her favorite wine and how it slushed down her throat whenever she drank it... So she always defended herself whenever her fellow gods accused her of drinking way too much.

She got to her chambers with her right hand behind her as she walked straight to the soft chair that was in the right-hand corner and plopped into it with a sigh. She was extremely beautiful, one could say her beauty was unreal. She had skin like milk that shone at night whenever the moon was out as she sat on it and watched the humans and werewolves from above, her eyes were captivating so was her smile.

A story that had luckily never been heard by the people of earth said that she once had an affair with Eros and he was obsessed with her. When she wanted it no more, he wouldn't let her go until she cast a spell that made him lose interest in her. So her beauty was always what was on the tip of every god's lips as they spoke about it every day and every night both in the realm of the gods.

"Is there anything else to be done, Mistress?" Her right hand asked with a bow and the moon goddess spared her a glance.

"I'm quite tired for now, I'll let you know when I've rested and gotten my strength back in me" she replied and her right hand nodded before she left immediately, with a relief that she'd be able to rest for a while before the moon goddess, her Mistress would work her to death again.

The kitchen was bustling with workers, chefs, and assistant cooks who were all making sure that every dish to leave the kitchen would be perfect and up to the taste of their Mistress, the moon goddess.

Her right hand went around and supervised scrutinizingly, every activity performed by workers and whatever they made before she retired to her little room to have a short nap too before the moon goddess would be fully awake to get dressed for the full moon night party.

********

It was soon nighttime and the abode of the moon goddess was ready and looked like it was heaven. Even the workers who came together to do the decorations all admired the result and knew with a feeling that the full moon this time would be different.

The moon goddess was finally awake in her chamber and her right hand was with her along with other maids who were to help her put on her dress, a light baby blue silky dress embedded with sapphires and diamonds that swept across the floor from her feet, making her look like a breathtaking fairy that illuminated the moon's light.

When they were done tying the corset, she walked majestically to the full-length mirror that rested against the wall of her chamber and stared at herself with pride glistening in her eyes.

"I look perfect," she said more to herself and smiled as her skin glowed while she gently patted the length of her dress against her perfectly accentuated body for a while, still staring at her reflection in the mirror before she turned around to face her workers who were also admiring her.

"You look magnificent, Mistress" her right hand complimented and she nodded.

"Oh I know" she replied and giggled as they helped her put on her shoes and escorted her to the hall where the feast was going to be held.

Maids weren't to be seen by other gods or goddesses if they were not in the special uniformed team that was assigned to those working in the hall so the maids following the moon goddess stopped close to the hall's entrance, bowed before her, and scurried off to their quarters before they would be seen.

It was just the moon goddess and her right hand that were left in the passage along with guards positioned at different places in the passage. The chatter of arriving gods and goddesses echoed across the hall to where they stood and a proud smile appeared on the moon goddess's face, her eyes gleamed as she dragged in a long breath and exhaled in excitement for the night and the endless glasses of wine she would have until she couldn't have any more to drink.

She turned to her right hand and checked what she wore for the first time that night and she was quite satisfied with how she appeared.

"Try to keep up with the reports coming in and make sure you inform me of all of it right on time" she ordered and her right hand nodded diligently.

Even though she would be feasting all through the night, she still cared about her work as the moon goddess and wouldn't want it all piled up for her by dawn the next day.

"Yes, Mistress" her right hand replied with her head bowed and the moon goddess smiled again before she flipped her curly hair before then raised her dress a bit, held her head high, and walked into the hall.

Her right hand could hear the silence that followed and she knew they were all admiring her Mistress like they always did every full moon feast due to how pricelessly beautiful she was. She smiled to herself with pride because she was the one who designed the dress and she heard the moon goddess pass a greeting to everyone in the hall.

A loud response from the guests followed as the gods hailed and praised her like they always did, lust brimming in their eyes for her, and the celebration began. Everyone took a seat on the long table that extended from one end of the hall to the other while the maids began to serve them all; pouring wines into their glasses as they drank to their satisfaction and kept on asking the maids to refill them.

The moon goddess wasn't exempt, she ate a plate and was satisfied then she switched to drinking wine on and on while she cheered and chatted with her fellow gods. The feast was going on at a full and jolly pace as some sat and drank, some gossiped, some went to hidden dark corners to have some alone time with each other while some danced in the spacious hall as the music was played for them as many times as they wanted... It was fun and the moon goddess was happy with the outcome of her party even though it wasn't her first.

Millions of years of living but she still had the jitters whenever the full or new moon celebration was around the corner because she wanted her party to always be perfect, she never wanted to lose her touch, she wanted it to be the talk on every god's mouth for at least the next two weeks before a rival god or goddess would throw hers or his out of jealousy. They were gods but they still had their differences between each other. They had the ones that got along and the ones that didn't.

Her right hand was at a corner of the hall bobbing her head up and down to the song that was played while she watched the gods and goddesses have fun. Her bracelet of notifying her for the moon goddess began to blink repeatedly and she stared at it for a while before she quickly rushed off to meet the moon goddess where she sat and drank even though she was already drunk to her limit.

She was giggling out loud while chatting with a god who was obviously trying to get her to take him to her chamber for the night and her right hand felt sorry for interrupting because she had ruined his chance but then, work always came first.

"Mistress, there's a report" she whispered in her ear and the moon goddess stopped laughing abruptly even though she was drunk. She turned to her and took her hand at once.

"Let's go somewhere quiet first," she said and pulled her out of the noisy hall while she kept staggering due to how drunk she was and her right hand tried to hold her steady to stop her from falling.

They entered a quiet room that wasn't too far and the moon goddess closed the door before turning to her right hand.

Then she took the bracelet from her and closed her eyes before having a vision of a newborn baby and she immediately an alpha was born.

He needed to be mated immediately, she smiled as she opened her eyes and staggered off to the chair in the room and sat down.

"An alpha has been born," she said and summoned her right hand to come closer.

"Get me the destiny booklet" she ordered tipsily and with a snap, it appeared in her right hand's hand then she opened it and began to scribble as the moon goddess began to speak.

"I shall mate the alpha born on this full moon night to..." Suddenly she stopped and a sly grin slowly crept onto her face as a forbidden idea popped into her head even though she wasn't even meant to be thinking about it.

"I shall mate him to a human girl, by the name of Samantha Cosgrove. She's yet to be born but let's see how it goes this time with an alpha Werewolf and a human" she continued and giggled.

She noticed the room was suddenly filled with grave silence, her right hand was meant to acknowledge her mating declaration but she was silent. She looked at her and saw she was staring at her with wide eyes. She had a horrified look on her face and she was already pale.

"Y.. yo.. your Mistress" she stammered and it hit the moon goddess at that moment... What did she just do? Mate an alpha with a human? She gasped and stared at her right hand for a long time as the gravity of her irreversible action hit her slowly then she screamed at the top of her voice in panic.

"Why didn't you stop me?" She screeched as she grabbed her right hand by her shoulders and shook her violently.

"You were so fast Mistress, it just came out and the destiny booklet made me write it all before I could do anything, I'm so sorry" her right hand apologized in fright and the moon goddess sat back down.

"This is bad, really bad. You know what? Cancel the feast first, everyone should go home. Tell them I have a headache and I need to rest" She said and rushed off to her room still deep in thoughts and panic. She just committed a grave crime by mating a human with a werewolf which had never happened before and she knew she would get punished by the gods and goddess' disciplinary committee for what she did.

She got to her room and took off her dress then with a groan, she fell onto bed and sighed, now she was sober and she wished she could undo what she did but there was nothing to do about it other than to take the punishment that will be given to her.

Her right hand suddenly ran into the room with a parcel and she sat up. Looking at her face, she knew the disciplinary committee had already taken action.

"What does the punishment say?" She asked and her right hand opened the parcel to read what it contained.

"You've been banned from drinking any wine for the next two full moons and they twisted the fate of the human and alpha so they'll end up together eventually, even though it would be hard for them" her right hand replied and the moon goddess sighed in despair.

"It's over for me if I can't drink, it's done" she cried out and laid back on her bed. Her right hand quietly left her chamber before she threw a tantrum while the moon goddess just lay there and kept on sighing in despair.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

One Night With My Billionaire Boss

I woke up on silk sheets that smelled of expensive cedar and cold sandalwood, a world away from my cramped apartment in Brooklyn. Beside me lay Ezra Gardner—my boss, the billionaire CEO of Gardner Holdings, and the man who could end my career with a snap of his fingers. He didn’t offer an apology for the night before; instead, he looked at me with terrifying clarity and proposed a cold, calculated business arrangement. "Marriage. It stabilizes the board and solves the PR crisis before it begins." He dressed me in archival Chanel and sent me home in his Maybach, but my life was already falling apart. My boyfriend, Irving, claimed he had passed out early, yet his location data placed him at my best friend’s apartment until three in the morning. When I tried to run, I realized Ezra was already ten steps ahead, tracking my movements and uncovering the secret I’d spent twenty years hiding: my connection to the powerful Senator Grimes. I was trapped between a CEO who treated me like a line item on a quarterly report and a boyfriend who had been using me while sleeping with my closest friend. I felt like a pawn in a game I didn't understand, wondering why a man like Ezra would walk up forty flights of stairs on a broken leg just to make sure I was safe. "Showtime, Mrs. Gardner." Standing on the red carpet in a gown that cost more than my life, I watched my cheating ex-boyfriend’s face turn pale as Ezra claimed me in front of the world. I wasn't just an assistant anymore; I was a weapon, and it was time to burn their world down.
