Sharon's night at the club took an unexpected turn when she found herself in a room with someone she didn't know. Filled with shock and panic, she made a hasty escape, leaving behind her clothes. Chapter 1 Unexpected Encounters
Sharon woke up feeling tired as she rolled in bed. She heard the tap rushing from the bathroom and immediately got up. She was shocked to realize that she wasn't alone in the room. It turned out that she had been at the club the previous night where she met Clinton, a wealthy businessman.
They had some interesting moments at the club and before they knew it, they became very tipsy and ended up in a room together for a one-night stand.
When she remembered all of this, she quickly got up, barely dressed, and ran as fast as she could. Clinton didn't even notice she had left until he came out and checked every corner for her, but could not find her. He didn't think too much of it because, to him, she wasn't all that. "The sex was wack," he added.
Sharon got back to her apartment and pondered how she could have ended up in a man's bed so easily. She didn't dwell on it for too long as she had to prepare for work.
At work, she told her friend Maria everything that had happened. Maria laughed and told her not to think about it too much. "You used a condom, right?" Sharon stood dumbfounded with her eyes wide open. "Right?" Maria asked again, and she muttered, "I don't know!" Maria exclaimed, "OMG, you need to take a morning-after pill now. What were you thinking, having unprotected sex with a total stranger? You wouldn't even consider doing that in your right mind, even if you were given a million dollars."
Instantly, Sharon and Maria dashed to a nearby pharmacy to get the pill and took it. Sharon was even more scared of pregnancy than she was scared of being infected with a disease.
After taking the pill, she felt a huge relief, and finally, she was starting to get over the whole thing. One month had passed, and Sharon had entirely forgotten about what happened.
Not until she woke up with a very heavy migraine one morning and felt bloated. She couldn't feel her face and immediately called Maria.
In less than an hour, Maria showed up and they both decided to go to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor asked, 'When was your last period?' Sharon answered, 'I can't remember because I don't have my period regularly.' 'Well, you're 5 weeks pregnant,' the doctor said.
Maria and Sharon turned to each other in disbelief. 'How?' Maria said. 'But that's what the result says. We conducted many other tests alongside a pregnancy test, and all came back negative except for the pregnancy test. So yes, she is pregnant,' the doctor explained.
'No, no, no, this cannot be happening. I'm finally just putting my life together since Josh left me. How can I be pregnant?' Sharon said with teary eyes.
Apparently, Sharon was in a relationship with Josh for 3 years until he broke it off out of the blue. It took a toll on Sharon, and she started drinking and doing all sorts of things to get over it, including visiting the club regularly until she met Clinton that night.
'Doctor, I don't want to keep this baby. I just can't. I have bills to pay. My job pays me stipends which isn't enough to sustain me, let alone a child,' Sharon expressed, and Maria nodded in support.
The doctor looked at both of them and said, 'Okay, but we would have to do a scan first to see how we can go about it.'
'I'm sorry to break it to you, but you're carrying two children, and it would be very risky to try to terminate them. I understand how you feel, but you'll just have to brace yourself.'
Sharon and Maria turned to each other in silence, not knowing what to say. They both quietly left the hospital without uttering a word to each other.
Sharon got in her room and cried her eyes out asking why all these were happening to her.
Sharon became an orphan when she was only 18 after she lost both parents to a ghastly accident and she has been the one taking care of herself ever since.
" I don't deserve this!! At least not yet" she said crying, could it be Josh's? Maria asked Sharon. "No it isn't, josh was in London for 3 months before he came back to break up with me, remember ?" Sharon said.
"Oh my goodness then who owns it ??"
Maria asked. " could it be, could it be that stranger you met at the club the other day?"
"No way!! But I took the pill we got at the pharmacy so how is that possible"
they both stood up angrily as they went to the pharmacy where they got the pill and started accusing the pharmacist of selling fake pills to them.
"You're a fraud and I'm going to sue you for selling fake drugs" The pharmacist looked really confused as he couldn't even recognize them.
"Who are you pls? I don't seem to recognize you" the pharmacist said.
"We came here about 5 weeks ago to get a morning-after pill from you, but apparently my friend here is pregnant," Maria said with a straight face.
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that, but you also need to know that the pill is not always hundred percent accurate, and maybe in your case it just didn't work". The pharmacist said. Leaving them very confused.
"So what do we do now ?" Maria asked.
"I don't know, I don't know this man, I no nothing about him, not where he works or lives. I only just met him at the club, he got me some drinks and we had a moment." Sharon said with so much curiosity. " I cannot raise these kids on my own". She added
"Then I guess we would have to start going to the club every other day to look for him but only if you still remember what he looks like," Maria said
" Yes!! I think I remember what he looks like, that's a good idea, I think we should do that. Sharon said we so much relief.
