Chapter 1 Rejection
The full moon was out and the people of Silverwood Town were all preparing. This was the time when their daughters who had come of age were going to be accepted by their mate.
Mia Trevor was also currently in her house dressed in her white dress and was being endowed with her accessories. It was customary to wear a white dress during the rites. It was to signify your purity.
" You look so beautiful and radiant," Her mother said.
" A total contrast from the naughty girl she is," Her father said.
" Dad!!!" Mia said. Her father was a warrior for their clan and had come back specifically for this day
" Let her have her day," Her mother said to him.

" You talk like a child. I am sure Sam would want to know so she would be prepared" Her mother said.

" Luna, why are you so quiet?" Mia's mother asked the other young girl in the room. She had been quiet throughout their whole conversation.
" Luna did something to Mia so Mia is quite mad at her" Sam explained instead.
" You girls should not be having problems. You have been best of friends since childhood and nothing should stain it. Mia just forgives Luna. You know that she is a sweet child" Her mother said.
" What she did to me was not sweet. Plus, I don't even know what she is doing here" Mia said.
" I came as your friend and I hope you forgive me," Luna said in a barely audible voice, one that sounded like someone who was being bullied.
" This is my problem with her. She always does this kind of thing and now not forgiving her looks like I am being mean to her" Mia said.
"Mia!!" Sam said.
" Can't I say out my grievance? I should forgive her just because she asked. Why then are they cops in the world" Mia said.
" I didn't mean it," Luna said.
" Now she is making everything worse. She is spoiling my day" Mia said.
Luna stood up running out as she covered her face.
Mia scoffed as she folded her hands.
" Why were you so mean to her?" Her mother asked her.
" She deserved it," Mia said.
" What bad could that good child have done to you?" Her mother asked her.
" Can't we just continue?" Mia said.
" You need to calm that temper of yours. You are my daughter but you can be too stubborn and impulsive" Her mother said.
" How would you even give your judgment when you don't even know what she did," Mia said.
" Tell me what she did then," Her mother said.
" I can't," Mia said.
" All I have to tell you is to be careful of your behavior," Her mother said.
" I know what I am doing," Mia said.
" I am going to go find my mate. It has been so long since he came back" Her mother said.
" Your mother keeps on getting people like me jealous," Sam said once Mia's left.
" It is as sweet as it is annoying," Mia said
" What happened between you and Luna" Sam asked.
" I can't say," Mia said.
" Why can't you? Is it that big of a secret?" Sam asked.
" I can't say it out but be sure that I am not being mean to her for no reason. You know how I am" Mia said.
" Of course but it is hard to believe that Luna would do something too terrible for you to say out," Sam said.
" Let's just forget about that," Mia said.
" I saw Lucas getting dressed. He looked so hot in his black suit" Sam said.
" I can't wait to see him," Mia said.
" You are so lucky. Your crush is about to become your husband" Sam said.
" I know that. I have been picturing this day since I was little and we were not even mates yet. He swooped me off my foot the first time we met " Mia said.

They finished their preparations and came out to the place where it would be held. Seven couples were going to fulfill their rites that night and Mia was the last.
Mia saw Lucas and could not help but blush.
He was standing with a stoic face, something he usually had when outside but she had seen his warm and caring side.
The first couple went first and the male accepted his mate and cheers were heard. Different people kept on accepting as some were even hugging and kissing at the spot.

They were told to stand at the podium, directly under the full moon.
