EXCERPT: “You are mine Elma, I own you! Whatever I decide to do with you is final and no one can dare to come to your rescue. I will be your first and your last!” He barked at me with a snigger as I whimpered under the choking grip of his huge palm. As I looked at the lines of his veins glaring with so much agility, I sniffled as more tears left my glands and streamed down my cheeks. But that wasn’t all. He bent me over, shredded my nightgown and thrusted me from behind. At that moment, I knew I had lost my voice, my dignity and my wit. Chapter 1 Evil Matrimony

Growing up, I had always imagined being sweptoff my feet by my Prince charming.

Invariably, in the midst of the enigma that hit me when my parents died, I hoped for a good man who could be able to rescue me from my dilemma just like my favorite bedtime story characters; Cinderella, Princess Fiona and Ariel.

Mummy made sure she read me as much as a chapter or more of each of these stories and many others. Oh how I miss her!

I found my Prince Charming in my Boss Jeremiah Oldeggard who completely swept me off my feet with his alluring smile, his deadly romance, his care and his wit, getting married to him was defimitely a dream come through for me.

Friday 7ª January 2022, the day I got married to my dream man. It was a very private weddmg at the courthouse and none of his family members was present but I didn't mind, as long as I was having him all to myself nothing else mattered. Jerry was the Prize and I was definitely thrilled to have him all to myself

"You can sign here Miss Wilson." Said the Attorey as he handed me over the black ballpoint pen and with the beaming smile that refused to leave my face, I gently grabbed the pen from him and signed the marriage certificate without even bothering to look at the details. I just wanted to be done with it and go home with Jerry.

"Here Mr Oldegard." The Attorney said to Jerry as he handed him over the pen after I was done sigung. Jerry took the pen from him, then he looked at me with a smile on his face, I

Was happy that glad that he was as excited as I was, or perhaps even more.

"Come here Elma." Jenry said with his deep voice as he grabbed me by my waist and planted a deep kiss on my lips. I couldn't open my eyes as I basked in the euphoria of his sweet lips and his ams wrapped around me.

I love you Elma" He said without letting go of both my waist and his smile, making me to chuckle in excitement as I basked in the euphoria of the blissful monent.

“Mrs Oldeggard.” Jerry said softly without letting go of his smile making me to blush with my head swelling to the new title.

“I like the sound of that.” I said excitedly covering my mouth as it seemed like I couldn’t be able to control my smile and giggling.

Looking at Jeremiah Oldeggard, I imagined what it really would have felt like to be his wife. I had already gotten a whimp of the luxury and fiesta I was going to enjoy for three months as he tried to convince me that he really had dropped his old ways and was ready to give up everything just to make me accept to marry him.

“I will do anything for you Elma.” He said right there in his office as he dragged me by my hands while I tried to walk away from him. And truly, he kept to his words. For three months I watched him display a new version of himself. I insisted I wanted to remain his secretary to he sure he was truly going to change. I didn’t see any girls trooping in and out in numbers, he got rid of all the liquor bottles and even stopped clubbing. I was thrilled! Who would have thought that the almighty Jeremiah Oldeggard the most eligible and youngest Billionaire CEO in Granada Hills was going to give up all these for me? Me!

The most amazing part was that he completely respected my decision of remaining celibate till our wedding night. I was a virgin, and I had always dreamt of breaking my innocence on my matrimonial bed to the man I loved. Jerry was definitely that man, and I just couldn’t wait to give him my special gift tonight.

“Congratulations to you to. You are now officially Mr and Mrs Oldeggard.” The Attorney said with a deep voice, calling me out of my thoughts. I didn’t even realize that I had drifted apart for that long.

“Congrats to us!” Jerry whispered loudly to my left ear, then he gradually lifted his hands towards my face shifting aside the hair strands that were covering my face.

“You look absolutely ravishing my Queen.”

“Thank you. You don’t look bad yourself.” I responded to Jerry with a smile on my face. Amidst the thoughts that ran through my mind, he pulled my head gently towards his face and locked our lips together like his life depended on it.

I moaned gently as I irresistible grabbed his neck with both of my hands with my eyes tightly shut. “Gosh! This feels so good!” I thought to myself while our lips remained in close contact.

“Shall we?” Jerry asked as soon as we separated our lips from each other.

“Mm-hmm.” I said with a slight nod, then he grabbed my left hand and led me gently out of the courtroom towards the white Porch car.

The two bodyguards in black suit standing at the two corners of the door couldn’t resist the urge to steal glances at me. I knew it! I was really looking gorgeous as I trailed the floor with my beautiful wedding gown that spoke volumes of luxury and aesthetic craftsmanship. It was such a pity that I didn’t have any family members to witness that special moment. That was the only reason why I agreed to have a low key wedding with Jerry.

He led me gradually towards the car as his two guards rushed ahead of us, one of them opened the door to the backseat, while the other went into the driver’s seat, getting ready to drive us to the Oldeggard Manor; my new home.

“There you go.” Jerry said as he gently led me into the car still holding my hand, and when he was sure I was really comfortable after he had carried the trial of my gown into the car, he slowly slammed the door before he went towards the other door and got in.

“Are you ready?” He asked as soon as he sat down looking at me with the smile that refused to leave his face.

“Yes! Yes I am ready.” I said still blushing in excitement.

“Let’s go Duke.” He said to the driver who immediately turned on the ignition of the car and drove off.

“I love you you so much Elma. I am grateful that you decided to marry me. Thank you for trusting me.”

My heart melted with gladness as those words gently hit my ears like sweet melody. No greater reassurance was needed at that moment to tell me that I was lucky to have married Jerry. Our union may have resulted from strange circumstances, but it was definitely worth it.

Halfway to the Oldeggard Manor, I gently took out my phone from the seatback pocket in front of me, then I clicked on the camera and raised the phone to take a selfie with Jerry smiling with so much excitement.

“What the hell are you doing?”
