SILVERFURS HEIRESS MATED TO THE ENEMY ALPHA Chapter 1 THE UNWANTED AWAKENING.

THE UNWANTED AWAKENING.

Kyra.

"Grrrrrrrrghhhh."The most stupid and lousy alarm ever to be invented raised its noisy shrill sound above the chirping of the bird outside, both a combined effort to spoil my morning.

For crying out loud.

I know it's morning already but I needed some good sleep to keep me going.

Lady night party at Audrey's wasn't a child's play,I needed my sleep more.

Meet me Kyra Louisa MacPherson, spoilt rich heiress to Gemma Stella Macpherson.

Stubborn - check,Rude - double check, very disobedient you sure know what to add there and guess what I forgot to mention - Tadah

My looks ,I'm so beautiful, very beautiful,my pink painted room have about four mirrors and I'm planning on buying an additional two.

But for now,I need my beauty sleep, school is out of the question now.

Oops,I forgot today is Saturday.

The morning light danced through the thin line of the expensive curtains, filtering and casting in a golden hue over my lavish bedroom as I lay nestled like a caterpillar in a cocoon of silk sheets sleeping peacefully.

The stupid alarm cried out again and I pulled out my long slender hand and knocked it over.

I don't care if it gets broken,I could get another one, besides this was the fourth in a week though.

A gentle tap on the door ,disturbed the peace and sweetness of the sleep I was forcing to come back to me all thanks to that stupid alarm.

The tap was followed by a timid voice of one of the maids

"Miss Kyra." A pause."May I come in?"

She asked stupidly.

You can stay outside for all I care.

I wondered what gave her the courage, she pushed the door open carefully and fearfully.

Too bad whilst I tried to feigned sleeping,I moved my left foot now the stupid maid knew I was quite awake

"Morning,Miss Kyra, your mother requests your presence." The maid announced, her voice barely audible and I wondered if she had a broken glass stuck up in her throat.

There was silence and I was hoping that she would get the hint and vanished but she pressed further.

"Miss Kyra....your mother said."

"Can you just shut up." I snapped, sat up over the rustling of the fabric as I shifted and cast her a hard look meant for the devil.

Then I went back ,pulled the covers and tried going back to sleep.

"Remind me to tell my mother to sack your sorry ass,you don't have an atom of respect."

I heard her moving from foot to foot restlessly.

I really wanted to enjoy my weekend.

I groaned in annoyance and rolled to my side, burying my face comfortably deeper into the plush pillows.

"Tell her I will be there in a minute or two or just give me thirty minutes." I muttered sleepily

But the maid persisted, her voice growing a bit hard now.

I wonder what I had done to deserve this.

"Miss Kyra, it's urgent. Your mother needs to see you now.She requests your presence."

I sighed dramatically,my annoyance getting as high as Mount Everest.I really hate this particular maid.I knew deep down that she had been sent by the devil.

I sighed again and sat up ,I stared back at her crumbed face which she kept staring at her folded hands.

"Why do you keep doing this ? What crime have I committed, I know my mother needs my presence,I heard you already." I said my hands up in exasperation.

"Fine " I grumbled.``Tell her I will be down in thirty minutes,I have to wake up fully, brush my teeth ,make sure you run me a hot bath and after that I need a little touch of makeup and I need a hot cup of coffee." I waved my hands in the air .

Jeez

"You know what I need, you know my normal morning routine, don't you? Then after that I can go downstairs and meet my mother."

I said and pulled the silk sheets over my legs.

"Don't stand there staring at me like I'm a pregnant rabbit, chop, chop,go to work while I take just a little more sleep ."

"That mean she has to wait till you are ready ?" The maid asked, confused in a small voice.

"Yeah, yeah ." I said lying down and pulling the sheets over my head."Thanks to the moon goddess, your brain is working perfectly now."

With that, I flopped back to my bed, curled my legs ,fully intended a d ready to go back to sleep

To the blissful waiting embrace of Mother sleep but before I could succumb to the embrace of sleep, the sheets were yanked away from me forcing the cool air whirling around to hit me sharply.

I jerked in fright,my eyes dancing wildly.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" I snapped at the maid."Can't you see I'm trying to get some rest."

I continued yelling at her but she said nothing, only staring at me with new eyes.I felt another presence standing at the foot of my bed .

I trailed my eyes and my words got stuck in my throat.

Good Heavens.

Not now

Not her.

I rolled my eyes, irritation dancing in me,I scowled at the head maid standing at the foot of my bed.

The thought of being disturbed from my slumber made me want to reach out and slap her hard across the cheeks.

"Get up." Came her short harsh words, her voice sharp tearing through me.

"And if I don't." I stared back at her,her face hard as a rock.

Stern.

Of all the staff,I feared Rosa Leaf and I hate getting in her path.

"Don't talk back at me ,young lady." She said a bit angry.``Don't play candy crush with me,you will get up there and do as you're told.

"Your mother requires your presence immediately, like now Miss Kyra," she said, her voice sharp with disapproval and anger . "You will not keep her waiting. Now up."

My five-year-old daughter was turning blue in my arms, her body rigid with a 104-degree fever. I called my billionaire husband, Clifton, dozens of times as I rushed to the hospital, but he declined every single call. While I was screaming at doctors and fighting to save our child’s life, a news alert flashed on my phone. Clifton was at the Met Gala, looking devastatingly handsome as he intimately draped his tuxedo jacket over the shoulders of his mistress, Eleanora. The nightmare didn't end at the hospital. Clifton used a secret clause in our prenup to snatch Lily from her bed and move her to a private facility without my consent. When I finally found her, my own daughter shrank away from me in terror. "Go away, bad Mommy!" she sobbed, while the mistress fed her oatmeal and whispered that I was the one who made the doctors hurt her. Clifton stood by and watched, telling me I was too "hysterical" to be a mother. But then I discovered the real reason they were hiding her. My husband was illegally using my late mother’s rare bone marrow samples to treat Eleanora’s secret blood disorder. Now that those samples are failing, he is taking Lily to a secluded castle in Germany to harvest our daughter’s marrow for his mistress. I sat in the dark, watching them play happy family with the child they plan to sacrifice. I realized then that my marriage wasn't just a lie—it was a biological harvest. They think I’m just a broken trophy wife who doesn't understand the science they are using to destroy me. They have no idea that I am "Ghost," the anonymous medical genius behind the very research they are trying to steal. As we board the private jet to Germany, I’ve stopped crying and started calculating. If they want to play with life and death, I’ll show them exactly what happens when a mother stops being a victim and starts being a predator.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.
