Chapter 1 1

Emily stared at the huge crowd with an eagle's eye. Most people came here to party but she had come with an expectation in mind: to boost her fashion career. She stared down at her ball gown, designed by herself and one of her best. She had decided to wear the best to the party considering the royals were hosting it. Most people were already vibing to the music and Emily just shook her head wasn't intercom partying this was a freaking anniversary and it was for the foundation the late king built to support the poor, talented and lesser class. They should focus on that.

Emily watched as guys twirled ladies around and for some reason she felt something well up in her; longing. It was not as if men had not look her wa but what she saw in their eyes scared her; want, sex. They all wanted her body and nothing else, no one needed her. She heard someone saying people should leave the way and she craned her neck to see. A young man smiled and waved as he walked past, as Emily cast her eyes on him she couldn't explain the emotion that rose up in her.

The prince blond hair, fell to his temples. He had a sharp jawline and his eyes were piercing blue. As if he notices her staring he turned and stared back at her. His eyes lit up and he offered her a small smile and whispered something to his guards and they all disappeared into the crowd. Then he started walking towards.

'He is heading here' Emily thought and straightened her dress and offered a smile as he stood before her.

"Hello" he said, his voice was soothing deep and smooth.

"Hi" Emily responded with a curtsy and he raised a brow.

"Don't do that please" he said whispered, it was her turn to raise a brow was he asking her not to bow? How strange.

"I am Henry" he said and grinned and right there Emily felt her belly heat up. Suddenly flustered she hid her face. His eyes softened and he backed away.

"I am so sorry. I made you uncomfortable" he said and Emily stared at him in surprise. What kind of prince apologizes to a commoner like her.

"It's fine....your majesty" she said and his eyes darkened a bit.

"I prefer Henry" he said and smiled, "It's a nice name, is it not" he said with a grin and she could not help but grin back.

"It is" Emily said, he grinned and he tossed back his blond hair.

"You didn't tell me your name" he said and Emily smiled coyly, starting to feel free around him.

"My mother says I should beware of men who asks my name" Emily said and Henry eyes twinkle, his lips twitched as if he was trying hard not to smile.

"Your mother" he said, "Is definitely a wise woman" he added and she grinned.

"Emily is my name" she said and he nodded studied.

"Beautiful name, beautiful person. Perfect combination" Henry commented and Emily blushed.

"Want a drink" he asked and she nodded not trusting her self to speak. He walked to a bartender who bowed and handed a glass of cocktail to the prince and another to Emily.

"So what do you do" Emily asked as they walked past the lush gardens. Prince Henry smiled at her and chuckled.

"What do I do? I am a prince. I am forced to do nothing" he said and she nodded.

"Is there anything you like doing if you were given the chance" he asked and he nodded.

"I wanna be an astronaut" he said and Emily stared at him like he was kidding. She held her mouth trying to contain her laugh.

"I am sorry you what?" She said with a giggle and he grinned.

"Yes. Funny huh?" He said. They stared at each other then they burst out laughing. Some people stared at them strangely but they either didn't notice or didn't care.

"Prince Henry, the astronauts" Emily said then she smiled at him. "Kinda fits though" she said and for a moment Henry just stared at her then he grinned.

"You think so?" He asked and she nodded and slowly sipped the cocktail.

"You should follow your heart your majesty" she said and Henry nodded then he pouted playfully.

"I told you not to call me that" he said with a mock whine and Emily studied him in astonishment, he was so humble. She looked away before he could catch her staring.

"Get used to it, Prince Henry." Emily said with a smirk. "What do you want people to think when they hear me call you by your name" she asked and he grinned at her.

"I'll tell them you are my close friend" he said and Emily stared at him to see if he meant it, he looked serious.

"Oh" was all she could say. They got to the garden and they both sat on a stove bench.

"I forgot to ask Emily" he said and raised the glass to lips and drank.

"What do you like doing" he asked me she smiled.

"Fashion, designing. Fashion design" she said and he stared at her and smiled kindly.

"Wow" he said and dropped his empty glass beside him. "My mom would like your kind, she into fashion and all that" he said and suddenly became serious.

"Can you be our fashion designer" he asked and she stared at him in surprise.

"Me?" She asked. She couldn't believe her eyes. She? Fashion designer to the royal family.

Henry chuckled at her expression and shook his head.

"It's no big deal really" he said with a small smile. "Just say yes" he urged and she nodded.

"Thank you" she said and he smiled at her. He stood and helped her up, they walked back to the heart of the party and Emily looked at her watch.

"Can I go home your..." she started but Henry shook his head and she grinned mischievously.

"Don't do that please" he said and she nodded.

"Good" he said. "I'll walk you home" he added and Emily stared at him in shock. Henry shook his head.

"It's not a big deal, come on" he said and put his arms in hers and led her out.

But it was certainly a big deal.

Because everyone stared.
