Chapter 1 BIRTH
The night was calm and quiet. Only the sound of crickets was heard in the mountain village of Xidi. Down the local inn is heard the voice of a woman in labour, the local midwife has lost hope, her husband is frantic and praying. They were visitors. In distress the man prayed to the Idina the goodness of the land. She is known to grant wishes and later kill the wish maker. A ruthless evil spirit that lives in the water.
In the moment of distress a young lady, dressed in a white gown and fair as snow entered and walked to the husband and said " I, Idina am willing to save your wife and daughter, but a price must be paid"
"What price" asked the shocked man
"It has not been decided" was the quick reply
Husband has never believed in myths, spirits, and here he stood calculating the risks, but the sound of he's wife in pains kept echoing in he's ear.
"Please if you must kill, kill me, I made this prayer and I shall suffer the consequences"
Idina laughed out loud and replied "so be it"
The man being in distress accepted and immediately the cry of a baby girl was heard.
