Chapter 1 1

"Girl bring ya ass down here!" Rebecka shouted

I rolled my eyes "Aight, I'm coming!"

Rolling off the bed, I walked over to my dresser pulling out a pair of socks and slipped my Puma slides on. As I walked past my desk I grabbed my phone & keys making my way down the stairs to Rebecka.

"Beitch, why it take yoh so long ta get yo' ratchet ass downstairs?" Rebecka spoke through her thick southern accent

I laughed "It takes time to look this fine"

"Fine where hoe?" She laughed pushing her curly hair out of her face

I narrowed my eyes at her smiling "Bitch you the only hoe here, a hoe with a capital H"

Rebecka flicked me off. I chuckled "Nah bitch that's Ray Ray's job" I threw her a wink

Rebecka's light skinned cheeks turned a tint of pink, she hit me on my left arm dumb hard "Shut up!"

Chuckling I shake my head "Come on lets go, they probably waiting for us"

Nodding Rebecka pushed my out the door, snatching the keys from my hand and locked the door behind herself. We walked out of the lobby to Rebecka's BMW 2016 model, the car was all black with tinted and silver shiny rims. After we climbed into the car, Rebecka started the car and drove off. Three minutes into the ride I started humming to a song that played on the radio.

"Girl, did yoh know that Jayden goht locked up?" Rebecka asked turning the radio down

Scrunching my face up "No-" I shook my head "-I didn't know. You dead ass?"

Rebecka nodded "Yea, no joke dead ass serious. I found out from Reko" A sigh left my lips I put my head in my hands shaking my head "Girl, he was like a brother to me. That boy was my fake brother"

Rebecka made a right before making a left, she laughed "Bitch last time I checked fake brothers and sisters don't fuck each other"

Picking my head out out of my hands I gave her the 'Shut the fuck up' look "lon even care; that boy stroke game was on point no thotto"

No Thotto means not trying to be a thot or a hoe, so don't take it as if I'm being a thot or hoe. No offense to those thots & hoes out there. It was something me & Rebecka made up.

"Come on, we're here" Rebecka told me climbing out of the car

I followed after her walking past the alleyway. We walked into the lounge that was filled with people, the smoke in the air was a mixture of weed, strawberries and watermelon hookah smoke. I followed behind Rebecka as she lead me to our group of friends.

"Hey Z" Ryan greeted getting up pulling me onto a hug

He grabbed my butt, I pulled away and slapped him. Ryan laughed pulling me close to him, his lips hovered over my neck. I punched him in the chest "Move nxgga" I told him mushing him out of my way

Backing up Ryan plopped down next to his girlfriend. I know such a shame, he can't be loyal his hoeing ass. Keyandra ran up to me picking me up, I wrapped my legs around her.

"My bitchh!" She shouted

I laughed "Hey Hoe"

Keyandra put me down cheesing hella hard "Girl, you looking fine as hell"

I looked at her through the corners of my eyes, I paused for a couple of minutes "He gave you some good D"

Keyandra laughed rolling her eyes at me "What ever hoe"

I smiled shaking my head. We sat down, Chrissy sized me up handing me her hookah pen. Chrissy is a Lesbian, at some point she liked me she was kinda mad at me when I get told her I don't swing that way, I mean we cool now, I guess. Chrissy still be tryna flirt with me, I usually try to ignore it.

"What kind is it?" I asked her

She raised an eyebrow slightly "Watermelon"

I nodded taking a hit of it. Before we go any further, I don't fuck with drugs, at all. I tried weed before but, I don't like it so there for I don't fuck with that either. Also I don't fuck with tobacco, the hookah pens I smoke don't have tobacco or nicotine in it.

"Get big, Get lil booty bitch, Go to sleep when I hit you with this dxck, Swing yo' arms, Bent yo' knees, If you ain't got no fake weave Pause, Go to sleep" The speakers sang

Shawn got up and started to rollie to the song. Keyandra got up dancing with Shawn, I laughed as I recorded them.

"Ci-Cee, get cho ass over hea" A deep guys voice yelled over the loud music

Next to me Chrissy stiffened, the buff brown skinned guy stalked over towards us with two more guys behind him. He got closer Chrissy had a look of panic, Keyandra walked away towards the bathroom. Ryan narrowed his eyes at the screen on his phone, Shawn sat back down, Star-Ryan's girlfriend- sunk into her chair. Rebecka looked scared, Dre had his arms wrapped around Rebecka.

"Ci-Cee, waht the fuck I tell yoh?" The guys rough voice spoke

Chrissy didn't reply, she looked down playing with her fingers. The guy got mad at Chrissy's lack of response, all you heard was 'smack'. I scrunched my face up at him, Chrissy's whole left side of her face was red.

I shoot up so fast "What the fuck is wrong with you?" I snapped "Putting yo' hands on a female, you know what that makes you?"

The guy looked at me like I was crazy, the two guys behind him laughed.

"Do yoh kno' who I am?" The buff brown skin asked

I smirked "Would you really like me to answer that? I got a feelin' you not gonna like my answer"

The guy grabbed me by the arm pulling me towards him roughly, the tall light skinned guy with gray eyes spoke up "No, yoh don't" He stated.

I had been a wife for exactly six hours when I woke up to the sound of my husband’s heavy breathing. In the dim moonlight of our bridal suite, I watched Hardin, the man I had adored for years, intertwined with my sister Carissa on the chaise lounge. The betrayal didn't come with an apology. Hardin stood up, unashamed, and sneered at me. "You're awake? Get out, you frumpy mute." Carissa huddled under a throw, her fake tears already welling up as she played the victim. They didn't just want me gone; they wanted me erased to protect their reputations. When I refused to move, my world collapsed. My father didn't offer a shoulder to cry on; he threatened to have me committed to a mental asylum to save his business merger. "You're a disgrace," he bellowed, while the guards stood ready to drag me away. They had spent my life treating me like a stuttering, submissive pawn, and now they were done with me. I felt a blinding pain in my skull, a fracture that should have broken me. But instead of tears, something dormant and lethal flickered to life. The terrified girl who walked down the aisle earlier that day simply ceased to exist. In her place, a clinical system—the Valkyrie Protocol—booted up. My racing heart plummeted to a steady sixty beats per minute. I didn't scream. I stood up, my spine straightening for the first time in twenty years, and looked at Hardin with the detachment of a surgeon looking at a tumor. "Correction," I said, my voice stripped of its stutter. "You're in my light." By dawn, I had drained my father's accounts, vanished into a storm, and found a bleeding Crown Prince in a hidden safehouse. They thought they had broken a mute girl. They didn't realize they had just activated their own destruction.

I was four months pregnant, weighing over two hundred pounds, and my heart was failing from experimental treatments forced on me as a child. My doctor looked at me with clinical detachment and told me I was in a death sentence: if I kept the baby, I would die, and if I tried to remove it, I would die. Desperate for a lifeline, I called my father, Francis Acosta, to tell him I was sick and pregnant. I expected a father's love, but all I got was a cold, sharp blade of a voice. "Then do it quietly," he said. "Don't embarrass Candi. Her debutante ball is coming up." He didn't just reject me; he erased me. My trust fund was frozen, and I was told I was no longer an Acosta. My fiancé, Auston, had already discarded me, calling me a "bloated whale" while he looked for a thinner, wealthier replacement. I left New York on a Greyhound bus, weeping into a bag of chips, a broken woman the world considered a mistake. I couldn't understand how my own father could tell me to die "quietly" just to save face for a party. I didn't know why I had been a lab rat for my family’s pharmaceutical ambitions, or how they could sleep at night while I was left to rot in the gray drizzle of the city. Five years later, the doors of JFK International Airport slid open. I stepped onto the marble floor in red-soled stilettos, my body lean, lethal, and carved from years of blood and sweat. I wasn't the "whale" anymore; I was a ghost coming back to haunt them. With my daughter by my side and a medical reputation that terrified the global elite, I was ready to dismantle the Acosta empire piece by piece. "Tell Francis to wash his neck," I whispered to the skyline. "I'm home."
