Shame. That was the only thing a poor and wolfless omega like Ruby Ryland knew. She thought everything would be over when her stepmother sold her to traders for her to be auctioned off as breeding stock, waiting to be chosen by the billionaire Alpha twins who needed fresh blood to join their harem and birth their children. This was Ruby's worst nightmare and she had no choice but to do this, to protect her younger sister from being sold off. Things take a twist when the famous ruthless Alpha twins pick an interest in her and will do anything to make her their breeder and win her heart, even if it means war. Who will Ruby choose? Alpha Derek or Alpha Dylan? No matter who she picks, the truth remains that she must fall at their sword in the end. Can she risk falling in love with the same men who are destined to kill her?

Mated To The Ruthless Twin Alphas Chapter 1 SOLD OFF

RUBY POV

"What is wrong with you?" A low husky voice asked behind me, jerking me out of my thoughts.

I looked up from my feet and stared into a face which carried the greenest pair of eyes I had ever seen. The man before me had a stern frown on his face. If I didn't know him, I would be foolish to assume that he was asking that question because he cared enough to know what was wrong with me.

Hell, no!

My tongue felt heavy, and I was unable to make any word.

"Are you dumb?" He growled, closing up the space between us.

He didn't wait for a response, rather, in an instant, the man before me swung his arm in the air, and his large palm landed on my face with a force.

"Kpash!"

It felt hard, causing me to stagger backwards, until I felt my back against the wall behind me.

I blinked back my tears, as I met his green eyes again. This time, they were much darker, and a muscle in his jaw twitched.

"It's not too late to return you to your stepmother, you know," He said, advancing towards me.

I shook my head in disapproval, finally finding my voice, "No, please. Don't take me back there, I don't want my younger sister to replace me." I pleaded as I clasped my hands in front of me.

He twisted his full lips in a snarl, "Then, why don't you act like you are happy being a stock-my stock! I paid for you. So, you're mine."

I nodded, as tears streamed down my face.

"Yes, Sir." I muttered, "I'm yours."

"Good." He hissed, "If I sense any more attitude from you, I will not hesitate to drive all the damn way back to your wretched home and buy your sister too."

His threat hung low in the air as he started walking back to the car. I followed him closely and got into the back seat of the car.

His last words filled my head. The more I thought of it, the more terrified I became. I would rather die a thousand times than witness my only sister become a stock.

Stocks were worse than slaves, only loyal to the person who bought them. Stocks were known to have no life of their own, no identity bedsides existing to do the will of others.

It was a life I didn't even wish on my worst enemy.

Sadly, it was a life I had to get used to. The man who bought me from my stepmother had turned up his nose in disgust at the sight of me earlier.

"I need a prettier girl!" He had said to my stepmother, "Is this all you've got?"

I had been smart enough to send my sister away into the woods, so I could take her place instead.

My plan worked out, just the way I had expected it, but the future ahead of me was not something I was looking forward to.

Barely a few days after being sold to Kor, the stock trader, he told me about his plan to have me auctioned off to the Cruel Alpha Twins of the infamous Ashton Pack as their breeder.

As their breeder, I would be their private sex toy; their plaything.

They could ravage my body for their pleasure, as much as they desired. The only thing I owed them for keeping me alive would be healthy pups; heirs to the Alpha throne that I would never be able to claim as my children.

As Kor drove the small truck down the rocky part, my heart felt heavy within me. I was no longer able to cry, and my eyes stung.

A sense of panic and uncertainty settled over me, not because I was afraid of being the breeder for the twin Alphas, but because I was so damn sure that I wouldn't even be picked.

Hundreds of stocks, just like me, were travelling from almost all packs to the Ashton Pack, where the Alpha twins resided.

I was so sure that there would be worthy women, even more beautiful and endowed than I was who would catch the attention of the Alphas.

Of course, there would be other Alphas, but every sensible stock would rather be picked by the twin Alphas of Ashton Pack, than anyone else.

"Powder your face, Ruby," Kor said breaking the silence in the car. He was driving, with his attention on the wheels before him.

I nodded as I frantically began to search my small purse for the smooth, white powder that Kor had gotten for me on our way here.

I had on a skimpy red gown which showed off my long legs. As a result of how my boobs were way too big for the dress I had on, they spilt out from the undersized bra I had on.

I was still applying the powder on my face when Kor shot me a glance over his shoulder, "That's better." He said, "What's the rule, again?"

I sat upright in the car, so straight that my shoulders almost hurt from being stiff.

"Wear a smile at all times," I mumbled.

"And, if you are asked?" He said, without looking at me.

"I'll tell anyone who cares to know that I am of the Ashton Pack," I said, as the words mechanically rolled off my tongue.

He nodded satisfied, "We have finally arrived."

My eyes almost popped open as the large, magnificent castle of the Ashton Alphas came into view. If I wasn't going in there to be sold as a breeder, I would have been in awe.

An unexpected sharp pain began to stomach at the back of my head, causing me to clutch at it.

Kor found a decent spot to pack the car, then he flung a piece of clothing at me, "Put that on!"

He got out of the car, while I remained in the back seat, bent over as I silently begged the moon goddess to take away the pain which was now coursing through me.

"Ruby!" Kor's commanding voice barked from outside the car.

I shuddered and struggled to put the small hood over my head. I looked outside the car window and saw other young women with similar hoods on.

I swallowed hard and adjusted it so that it could conceal my face.

The ache in my body had now spread to the back of my head and was pounding harder than ever.

I weakly pushed myself out of the car.

As soon as my feet hit the ground, my body started to shake uncontrollably, and I held on to the car door for support.

My vision blurred, and I felt my strength leaving me.

Before I could make sense of anything, my body hit the floor with a heavy thud. I slipped into darkness.

When my eyes opened a few minutes later, Kor stood over me. There was a deep frown on his face.

"You wretched girl!" He hissed, "Is this your plan of sabotaging the only way I can milk these Alphas for their money?"

"I'm so...sorry-" I started to say, but I was cut shut as his clenched fists collided against my face.

"Keep that apology to yourself!"

I tasted something on my lips.

Sticky, thick and metallic.

Blood.

I touched my lips, the exact spot he had just punched, and when I held up my hands in front of me, I saw that I was bleeding.

"Get up right now before I-" Kor said, just before he was interrupted.

"Don't you dare touch her again!" Someone growled behind Kor. His voice was low, heavy and filled with so much venom. I couldn't see who it was as I was still on the dusty floor, and Kor covered my view.

Kor swung his head around and sprang to his feet. "Alpha Derek!" Kor said with a shaky voice, "It's a pleasure to meet you...again!"

Now that Kor was out of my way, I was looking at the man in front of him.

Alpha Derek?

Like, one of the dreaded Alpha twins? I wondered in silence.

His icy-blue eyes settled on me, narrowing at the sides, "The next time you lay a finger on her, I'll let you feel the wrath of my sword." He hissed, not taking his eyes off me.

I arrived at the hotel with Julian's favorite takeout, ready to surprise my fiancé before our big merger. But the moment I swiped the keycard, the silence of the hallway felt heavy and wrong. Inside, a red-soled stiletto lay on the marble floor-the same one I'd watched my best friend Lila try on at Saks last week. Through the cracked bedroom door, I watched Julian's back arch as Lila looked me straight in the eye and smiled, wrapping her legs tighter around him to mock my heartbreak. I fled to the penthouse to hide, only to find Grafton, Julian's "crippled" brother, waiting in the dark. To my horror, the man who was supposed to be paralyzed stood up from his wheelchair, gripped my chin with cold fingers, and forced me to sign a contract that gave him control of my family's shares. He knew about my mother's secret medical bills and used them to buy my silence, effectively turning my life into a calculated game of corporate chess. The betrayal tasted like acid, and the injustice of it all burned in my throat. My fiancé was a liar, my best friend was a thief, and the man now controlling my fate was a predator who had been faking his disability for years. I couldn't understand how everyone I trusted had turned out to be a monster. I was trapped between a man who cheated on me and a man who wanted to own me, with no way out and no one to turn to. But when Julian came looking for me, Grafton didn't hide; he stood tall, looming over me with a possessive glint in his eyes. "Help me destroy Julian," I rasped, realizing that to survive the Faulkner men, I had to become the most dangerous player of them all.

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.
