Camille Cassidy is a Luna admired by the Shadow Moon pack, except for her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. They didn't like that she was from the lowest rank, an omega. They didn't want to see Camille shine when a Seer predicted that she would have a son to be an Alpha heir. Her mother-in-law wanted the Shadow Moon Pack's succesor to be the child of her daughter, Camille's sister-in-law. After the birth, Camille and her baby were abandoned in the middle of the interior forest by Elena, the mother-in-law. Then Austin Finsley, Alpha of the Silverclaw Pack found Luna Camille and the newborn baby. Over time, he fell in love with Camille, but the woman always tried to keep him in line because he was still a Luna from the Shadow Moon Pack.

Revenge Of The Rejected Luna Chapter 1 Family Disagreement

"I've found my mate, and it looks like I'll be marrying her soon," Arthur said suddenly in the middle of the Shadow Moon Pack's family dinner.

Jhonas the Elder just nodded as he chewed on the bite of food he had just eaten.

Meanwhile, Arthur's words were suddenly interrupted by a woman who looked like a socialite as she played with her beautiful blood-red nail polish.

"It's good that you've finally found a mate, so your status as Alpha in this pack will be even stronger, but..." the woman said while drinking the orange juice in front of her, then continued her conversation,

"You know that our pack is the best in Alaska, so your mate must also be the best, her bloodline, her social status and her personality."

Arthur just sighed, "She's the best in the pack!"

Sofia, Arthur's sister, said, "Oh yes, well, introduce her to us soon, won't you, Elder Jhonas?"

Arthur nodded, "Of course, I'll bring her to dinner tomorrow," he said confidently.

Alpha Arthur could have guessed that his mother and sister would probably refuse because he knew how they both glorified the position of social strata in the neighbourhood.

Besides, the woman he would introduce this time was from the lower class, except for his grandfather, Elder Jhonas, who was the only man in his family with a wise attitude.

His mother and sister live a very indulgent and glamorous life, often travelling aimlessly abroad to show off their luxury among the Luna socialites.

However, Elder Jhonas constantly reminds them that they must live as usual because the interests of the pack are more critical than theirs. However, they do not care and rarely listen to the Elder's advice.

"But I wonder who the woman is that Moon Goddess chose for you. Tomorrow night, you must fulfill your promise to bring her to meet all of us, and do not delay the wedding reception," said Elder Jonas.

"This woman is still in the same pride as us, Elder!" said Arthur.

They immediately fell silent, looking at Arthur curiously, "Who? Clara? Delta's cousin is in this pack, and then mom is a little agr..." Elena had not finished speaking, and Arthur immediately cut off his mother's words.

"No, I don't like her at all, she's just like you guys, too glamorous a life. I'm looking for simple woman," explained Arthur.

"Then who?" pressed Sofia, who was a little annoyed with her brother Arthur.

"Camille!" replied the Alpha.

Everyone was curious and had no idea who Arthur was talking about.

"The best Omega in our pack, her performance is very good and since she manages the Omegas all the clothing, food and shelter needs in our pack are so organized, isn't it good that as a Luna she is used to manage complicated things like that," Arthur explained, which immediately made his mother and sister react differently.

"WHAT?! of the rank Omega! Oh my Goddes, Arthur, what will happen if all the packs know that the Luna candidate isn't from the high rank, our pack could be underestimated!" said Elena a little angrily.

"Mom! The Moon Goddesses chose her for me, a fated mate we can't change, maybe it's a good sign for our pack in the future," Alpha Arthur explained again.

"No, i disagrees, there is no need to obey the orders of the Moon Goddes, destiny can still be changed, it might be okay to break the rules a little."

Sofia her sister, then added, "Yes, I also agree with Mom. After all, there are still many single women in other packs from the high ranks who are more suitable. Think again, Arthur. This is for the honor of our pack," said Sofia.

Arthur sighed heavily. He could already guess what the response of the two women would be.

It has been a very long time since Alpha Arthur liked Camille. He realized that Camille was his downfall. It was just that Arthur hadn't dared to tell his family about it, partly because Arthur was afraid that his mother and sister would oppose him, and rightly so.

"I agree!" Elder Jhonas said suddenly.

"What do you mean, Dad?" Elena said with some emotion.

"Elena, the fated mate, we cannot easily violate, it's destiny of the Goddess. You must also know the danger that will be for our pack. This time I agree with Arthur!" explained Jhonas.

"What is the reason?" Sofia questioned.

"I know who the best Omega is, she is always the talk of the pack house because of Camille performance and discipline, it's just that I don't really know the names of the Omegas in our pack, but I know who it is, I think she fits Arthur," the Elder explained.

Arthur bowed respectfully in gratitude for his grandfather's support. As long as the Elder, the oldest leader of the Shadow Moon pack, agreed, Alpha Arthur would always fight for her.

Meanwhile, his mother and sister were still upset, grinning as they crossed their hands over their stomachs.

"If it weren't for Elder Jhonas' approval, I wouldn't want to see that woman sitting at our dinner table at all," Elena emphasized.

"Elena, let's not be selfish. Always remember what I said about the pack's interests outweighing your personal desires!" snapped Elder Jhonas to Elena, who was his daughter-in-law.

"If Alpha Roger were still alive, maybe Mom wouldn't be as arrogant as like now," said Arthur.

"If your father Roger were alive, he would agree with me!" Elena retorted and then stood up to take her daughter Sofia from the dining table.

Elder Jhonas just shook his head at his daughter-in-law's behaviour and gently rubbed Arthur's arm as if to give him the strength to be patient.

"Now go to Camille, and tell her that Elder Jhonas would like to meet with her tomorrow night, to discuss your wedding reception," said Jhonas.

Arthur nodded and smiled. Then, he finished his dinner, stood up, and bowed respectfully to the Elder.

Alpha Arthur excused himself to meet Camille at the C-pack building. The building that housed the Omegas, Warriors, Guardians, and other members of Shadow Moon's lower ranks.

The large building was also like a dormitory because Shadow Moon's Pack house was the largest, grandest, and most spacious in the Kenai region of Alaska for the time being. It is a modern yet beautiful urban area surrounded by mountains, nature preserves, and protected forests and lakes.

"I want to see Camille!" said Alpha Arthur to the guard guarding Building C.

"Okay, Alpha Arthur, please wait a moment. I'll call her for you!" replied the guard.

Not long after, Camille emerged from the hallway with shy steps and looked down. Occasionally, she smiled at Alpha Arthur, which made Arthur admire her even more.

Camille was wearing her nightgown with her hair down. She was about to go to bed, but the guard called her at Alpha Arthur's command.

"I have a need, can we talk while we tour the pack house?" Alpha Arthur asked matter-of-factly.

Camille also could not refuse her Alpha's orders, and she agreed. The two of them took a walk around the pack house.

The Pack house considered a magnificent mansion, was also just a short distance from the main road on the city's outskirts. Ordinary people wouldn't realize those luxurious buildings were the cages of the werewolf packs.

They only saw the house pack building as an elegant mansion owned by a wealthy businessman. Indeed, Elder Jhonas and Alpha Arthur were also known as the owners of a thriving gold mining company in the Kenai region of Alaska.

"Camille, you realize that you're my mate?" asked Alpha Arthur.

"I know, and I can't deny it!" replied Camille.

"But Camille, do you love me?" asked Arthur again.

Camille just smiled, "Anyone wouldn't want to reject a man as good and handsome as you," she explained.

The faint night air blew past them, adding to the serene atmosphere between the two people beginning to get romantically drunk.

Alpha Arthur then slowly approached Camille. He could feel the woman's rapid breathing.

"A-a-alpha, what are you going to do?" asked Camille.

"The pheromone scent from your body is very strong. Do you also want it tonight, Camille?" Arthur asked back with an increasingly excited look.

Camille tried to catch her breath and hold back Alpha Arthur's rising desire.

"This time, I apologize, can we hold off until our wedding day? I'm not ready yet, even though I can't prevent this pheromone scent," Camille said with a stutter.

Alpha Arthur sighed and smiled, "Alright, we'll do the fusion later on the first night to make it more special. I'm sorry, your scent is very tempting."

"I'm the one who should apologize, Alpha. It's normal when they realize the mate bond," Camille explained again.

Alpha Arthur just gently stroked Camille's cheek and kissed her lips. They enjoyed the night with just a gentle kiss.

Afterwards, the two discussed tomorrow's dinner meeting, where Arthur reminded Camille that she would not be surprised by her mother's and sister's behaviour.

Camille was very understanding as she was acquainted with Elena and Sofia's characters and traits. She only assured Arthur that she would continue to do her best in the future so that his mother and sister could change their point of view towards Camille.

The next day, Camille became the talk of the pack house, and on average, several councils and other members of this Shadow Moon pack liked and admired Camille.

Besides being beautiful, Camille was known as the best-performing Omega.

"I agree with Camille becoming Luna in our pack. At least later the welfare of the Omegas will be more important," said an Omega preparing lunch in the house pack kitchen.

Then Camille arrived, carrying several baskets of fresh vegetables, apparently having just returned from the market to buy food.

"This is our future Luna, she shouldn't be doing mundane tasks like this anymore," said the female Omega from earlier.

"Come on, you guys are overreacting, after all, I'm still an Omega, not officially a Luna and what's wrong with me doing something I'm used to?" asked Camille to her two Omega friends, who were both cooking in the kitchen.

Then another female Omega came in, she was a little older than Camille and an Omega trusted by Elena, Alpha Arthur's mother, and Sofia, her sister.

"Don't feel so big Camille, it's not necessarily that Luna Elena and Sofia will agree!" she said with a slight squint and a cynical look.

"No problem Olive, for me to be an Omega or Luna I will accept anything, my job is just to serve the best I can for this pack because this pack has raised me all this time," Camille replied.

Olive, the Omega trusted by Elena and Sofia, just smiled sarcastically and sat in a chair in the corner of the kitchen. She ordered Camille's two Omega friends to start cooking the food that Elena and Sofia had ordered.

Camille's omega friend said, "Why don't you let Olive cook it?"

"Hey, your position with me is higher than mine, do as I say!" said Olive.

Camille's friends looked to her for help since she held the highest power in the Omega rank. However, Camille hinted that she should obey Olive's wishes.

She knew that the Omega's character was stubborn, and if she resisted, it would only cause an uproar. Camille didn't want that.

My five-year-old daughter was dying in the ICU, her heartbeat replaced by the continuous, electronic scream of a flatline. I gripped her cold hand, my throat sealed shut by a terror so absolute I couldn't even cry out. I dialed my husband Grayson's private number, the one reserved only for me and his assistants. He declined the call instantly. A second later, a text buzzed against my palm: "In a meeting. Do not disturb. Stop calling." Five miles away, Grayson was at a luxury gala, adjusting his silk tie and laughing with Belle Escobar. He told her I was just being "dramatic" and using our daughter's "fever" as an excuse to avoid the event. He had no idea Effie's heart had already stopped. When I finally reached our penthouse, soaked from the rain and carrying Effie's small socks in a plastic bag, Grayson didn't even look at me. He snapped at me for ruining the hardwood floors and asked if I'd left Effie with the nanny just to "feel sorry for myself." Three days later, while I buried our daughter in a small, lonely ceremony, Grayson was at the Hamptons. Belle posted a photo of him golfing with the caption: "A mental health day with the boys." He didn't even attend the funeral, but he returned home demanding I clear out Effie's room to make a study for Belle's son. The injustice burned through me until there was nothing left. I swallowed a handful of sleeping pills, desperate to join my daughter. But instead of the darkness, I woke up to blinding lights and the scent of Grayson's expensive cologne. I was standing in a ballroom, wearing a blue silk dress I had already burned. Above me, a banner read: "Happy 5th Birthday Kaiden & Effie." I was back, exactly one year before the tragedy. This time, I wasn't going to be the grieving wife. I was going to be their worst nightmare.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband's Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn't find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn't even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father's legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn's party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara's health and managing every detail of Caden's empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I'd drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause-if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I'd forgotten.
