"Hi, yes you aren't dreaming, it's the chubby Kelly," I say inwardly as I see the unhappy face expression of Jason who is disheartened. The guests laugh at us. They call our couple all sort of names. "The prince charming and the pancakes' eater Kelly" is one I can sadly remember." "I, Jason Bentley of the South pack, reject you Kelly Thompson as my mate and the Luna Queen," he declared fiercely. *** Kelly Thompson, an eighteen-year-old curvaceous and wolfless she-wolf, has been quietly admiring Jason Bentley, the heir apparent to the throne of the dominant South pack, for a number of years. Unfortunately for Kelly, she doesn't get the same attention in return from Alpha heir Jason, as the handsome daughter of his old father's Gammas, Betty Nord, is already the love of the pack's future Alpha. But, the plump Kelly has an advantage over the skinny Betty because of a strong vow made by Jason's father, the Alpha King Don Bentley, that his son will marry the daughter of his Betas who gave their lives two years ago in a fight against the North pack's fiercest adversaries in order to preserve the life of the Alpha heir. But clearly, nothing goes as smoothly as Kelly imagines.
KELLY THOMPSON'S POV
Oh moon goddess, I'm so fond of him but sadly he has never set his deadly attractive blue eyes on me, not even once. All his mind and energy are on that little pest called Betty Nord. Uh, that's enraging!
Anyway, why do I even have to worry? My parents as loyal betas to the Alpha King Don Bentley sacrificed themselves to save his son Jason in the deadly battle of the Giants against the North pack two years ago.
So, the Alpha King, in recognition of their ultimate sacrifice, told everyone boldly and loudly: "The daughter of the Thompsons will marry my first son the Alpha heir Jason Bentley, when she turns eighteen and has gotten a wolf."
I liked every bit of this part of the monarch's speech at my parents' funeral, for one particular reason : I was secretly admiring his son Jason but had just never gotten the courage to let him know.
Actually, Jason was already in love with that b*tch Betty Nord. Like a little puppy, he was running days and nights after her just because she is the spitting portrait of his mother Jane Bentley who passed away after giving birth to him. The Alpha King Don Bentley since then is a widower.
Jane was a tall and slim blonde Luna Queen. Her eyes were light green like an emerald and gave her the appearance of a goddess in the human form.
Unlike Betty, I don't look like her. I'm eighteen and 1.65 meters tall for a weight of 85 kilograms. I have black hair, brown eyes and untanned white skin with extremely generous curves. Yes, you have understood it perfectly, I'm a proud chubby young werewolf female.
My only issue : I still have no wolf, yet. Which is quite frustrating for a werewolf. Even that unbearable Betty Nord had already gotten her wolf and had since left our pack to complete her nurse training in the school of the East pack, our ally.
So this morning, I went to pray in the pack's temple. I burned some incense sticks and begged the goddess for a wolf.
I don't know if the goddess heard my prayers, but when I returned to my room, I learned the news that I am to marry Jason.
I heard that the Alpha King Don Bentley just headed straight to the room of his nineteen-year-old son, and made it clear to him that he had grown up enough to marry.
Jason was without surprise not very excited and even argued with his father but the Alpha King Don Bentley used his royal power over him and Jason complied.
The latter thus asked the South pack's ruler to choose a date for the wedding.
"Tonight at midnight," the Alpha King announced thunderously.

11 PM (ONE HOUR REMAINING BEFORE THE FULL MOON)
Jason is boredly waiting for me and can hear the pack's young werewolf females sitting on the first row behind him gossiping about me, the bride that they call the luckiest ugly girl in the whole world.
And suddenly the musicians of the parish's choir play magnificently their instruments to announce the arrival of the bride. I can see from distance Jason checking the time on his wrist watch and it's 11:30 pm. A faint smile appears on his face because he's thinking his nightmare is just about to end.
I come in and as I approach, my face becomes paler and paler as I don't know what to expect from my groom.
"Hi, yes you aren't dreaming, it's the chubby Kelly," I say inwardly as I see the unhappy face expression of Jason who is disheartened.
The guests laugh at us. They call our couple all sort of names. "The prince charming and the pancakes' eater Kelly" is one I can sadly remember.
I stand next to Jason and he avoids eye contact. I can feel his embarrassment as we both look at the priest Dan Tommy.
The Alpha King looks at me straight in the eyes and asks me how I am feeling.
"Great" I answer.
"Are you ready for what you know?"
I'm confused.
At that time, the clock strikes 11:59 pm, a small light in the starry sky begins to swell and grow. With each passing second, it becomes brighter and bigger until finally at midnight, a full moon hangs in the sky. My body starts to quiver. The first shift is beginning.
My expensive wedding dress is torn to shreds as my bones snap and contort, sprouting thick fur that covers my entire body. My face elongates and shifts into a terrifying snout, completing my transformation into a giant wolf female. The wedding guests scream in terror and try to flee.
The Alpha King, who remains eerily calm, attempts to restrain me. I accidentally crash into a curtain, getting tangled up in its folds. I fight against the net with all my might but eventually exhaustion takes over and I fall still. The guests let out sighs of relief as I transform back into my human form.
"Hello, Kelly." Another voice rises in my mind.
There she is! I have finally gotten my wolf, Sherry.
But my excitement quickly dwindles amidst the rushed wedding ceremony and Jason's indifference. My husband doesn't even remember the night he had sex with me. To drown his pain of a forced marriage with me, he had been overdrinking at the room's bar to the extent he passed out. Since then, our nights have never been spent together.
And not long after, I realize I'm pregnant with a pup.
"I promise you, we'll take good care of him, he's ours," Sherry says excitedly.
Yes, our baby pup.
For the first time, I begin to feel hopeful about the future.
