John Smith was very poor and depended on Olivia Wilde and her family for survival. Olivia and her family made his life a living hell. Olivia did not only treat John badly, she also cheated on him and divorced him the same day he caught her cheating with Uncle Sam. However, immediately after John stepped out of Wilde's villa, he received a message from his phone. Eight hundred billion dollars was transferred into his account and the amulet which he had worn since he was a child was activated. Turns out that he was the lost son of Thomas Anderson the most powerful and wealthiest man in Arora. The amulet was the only identity of the true Anderson's and it had a mysterious power once activated. John couldn't believe his luck, a once rejected and despised son in-law was now the son of the most powerful man in the City! Instantly an intense fire burned in his heart, the fire of revenge on those who had hurt him and made his life miserable find out how John melted out his revenge on his enemies, especially the Wilde family, and on Olivia the woman he had sacrificed so much for.
John Smith walked into the living room after dropping the groceries he brought into the kitchen. Olivia lifted her almond-shaped eyes to take a glimpse of the chunky man standing before her. Without paying much attention to him, her eyes drifted back to her nails which she was busy painting with red nail polish. She brewed the nails and gave out instructions to John without sparing another glance at him.
"Drop my balance on the table and hurry up to the kitchen, it will soon be dinner time"
"I am sorry, Olivia, I didn't bring home any balance," John Smith replied.
His responses made Olivia finally look up and face him.
"And why was that? You are supposed to bring home 50 dollars as my balance. What happened to the money?" Olivia enquired.
John's gloomy face turned pale, and instantly a cloud of sadness blurred his countenance. He slowly stuck his thick finger into his nose.
"What happened to my money, John?" Olivia screamed as irritation filled her up. She hated seeing John sticking his dirty fingers inside his nose each time she asked him a simple question.
"Will you remove that filthy finger from your nose and answer me, what happened to my 50 bucks?" She yelled again.
Reluctantly, John removed his finger from his nose and said.
"I am sorry, Olivia, but I used the money to buy some drugs for my grandmother, Anita. I will pay you back"
"I promise" he answered, his face looking more miserable as a glimpse of displeasure appeared on Olivia's face.
"You did what John? You used my money to buy drugs for that useless old bitch? How dare you steal from me?" Olivia screamed at the top of her voice.
John began to fidget. He had anticipated this from Olivia and thought that he could handle it, but the reality was not the same. Olivia looked like a monster, ready to devour him. He wouldn't have touched her money If not for his grandmother's illness becoming worse that afternoon.
John had not visited his grandmother for three days, so he decided to visit her this afternoon after buying the vegetables. Finally getting to her house, he discovered that his grandmother was seriously sick. Her body temperature was so high that John was left with no choice but to use Olivia's money to buy some drugs for her.
At that time he thought he could bear whatever punishment Olivia brought his way, but facing Olivia right now, John felt miserable and knew he had made a huge mistake. Hearing the voice of her daughter, Mrs Wilde rushed into the living room.
"What is going on Olivia, why are you screaming at the top of your lungs? Tell me what is the matter" Jeanette Wilde asked, staring at her daughter Olivia, who was now looking dangerously angry.
" It is this good-for-nothing husband of mine, he stole my money and used it to buy drugs for his useless grandmother," Olivia shouted, her jade green eyes threatening to burst out as she stared murderously at John.
"How dare you steal from us? You are not only useless, you are now a thief. We clothe and feed you yet you do this terrible thing to Olivia'' Jeanette yelled. Her heart boiled in hostility.
"I did not steal her money, I only borrowed it from her. I will pay her back later" John managed to say.
"Really? you did not steal her money. What do we call what you did? Answer me, John"
That was Albert Wilde, Olivia's father shouting from behind as he made his way to the living room.
"I say I will pay her back. It was only a 50 dollar bill." John replied.
He was on the verge of crying, how could Wilde's family make an issue with ordinary 50 dollar bills? They were rich for goodness sake. John thought and dared not voice it out.
Olivia scoffed
"Did I hear you say pay back later? Since when have you ever paid for anything in this house? You should be grateful to Wilde's family if not for them, your chunky body would have been sleeping under the gutters by now. Useless dirty thing" Olivia screamed louder.
Each time she looked at John, she couldn't help but feel disgusted. John put his finger inside his nose and scratched it, which made Olivia twitch her face.
"You are so disgusting," Olivia cried out.
"You've grown all fat because of your laziness, all you know how to do is eat food and nothing more. Your mates are out there making money, but you are here devouring all the food in Wilde's family. Albert added.
He was very furious. He had never loved John from the start and now he has turned into a thief, his stomach can't hold it in.
"I don't blame you, I blamed my father for forcing Olivia into marrying you"
"Why did I even agree to this marriage? Look at me, beautiful and desirable, yet I am stuck with an ugly man like you. I can't believe you are my husband" Olivia spat out in annoyance.
She felt like her youth was being wasted because of John.
Compared to John Olivia was classy, elegant, and sexy. She had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Her waist was tapered in the ritzy clothes she wore to highlight her beautiful and classy features.
Her statement stings John in the heart like a sharp pin. He looked at his huge body and kept quiet. He must admit that he looked ugly now, but that doesn't give Olivia the right to insult him like this. After all, he was once a good-looking banker and was it his fault that he got fired a few months after their wedding.
"Why do you sound like you are stuck with him forever? You are beautiful and smart, for Christ's sake, you are just 22 years old Olivia." Jeanette said.
"Look, Olivia, since your grandfather is dead, you can as well divorce this worthless man and marry an eligible husband," Albert declared openly.
John was shocked, he glanced sharply at his father-in-law for a second and returned his glimpse at Olivia to know what her reaction would be, unfortunately as expected, Olivia's eyes sparked with excitement.
