Title: **Forever My Luna** Emma's life was a tapestry woven with threads of mystery, loss, and an ancient legacy. At the heart of her journey lies Mountain Grove, the Montenegal Estate, a place that becomes both her refuge and the epicenter of a brewing storm. Emma's past is fraught with peril, having fled from relentless pursuers who sought the powerful claw pendant she now guards-an heirloom of immense power and responsibility. Rescued by Will, the newly appointed heir of the Montenegal legacy, Emma feels an inexplicable bond with him. Unbeknownst to the Montenegal family, Emma is Will's true Luna, endowed with special abilities meant for an alpha. Her father, a renowned and powerful alpha, was betrayed by his own pack, leaving Emma and her mother, Susan, to run from their enemies. The traumatic loss of her mother in a final stand against their pursuers still haunts her, fueling her determination to keep the pendant hidden and its power safe. At Mountain Grove, Emma's presence stirs hidden passions and secret ambitions. Andrew's mistress, Isabella, has long harbored a deep-seated love for Will. Spurned by his indifference, Isabella manipulates Andrew, using him as a pawn to get closer to Will and the coveted position beside him. Her hatred for Lizzy, another woman interested in Will, simmers beneath a facade of friendship, adding layers to the intricate web of relationships. As Emma grapples with her past and the weight of her family's legacy, she becomes a focal point of jealousy and intrigue. Will, drawn to her with a connection that defies explanation, feels the strain of growing discord within his family. He is torn between his destined bond with Emma and the expectations surrounding Lizzy. The true test of the Montenegal family's strength and unity looms as secrets and lies threaten to unravel the bonds that hold them together. With hidden intentions, unfulfilled desires, and a mysterious past converging, the stage is set for a dramatic showdown. The storm at Mountain Grove is just beginning, and the consequences will be far-reaching for all involved.

Chapter 1 The Greenwood Escape

In the oppressive stillness of the moonlit forest, shadows flickered menacingly as Susan and her young daughter, Emma, sprinted through the dense foliage. The sinister voices of their pursuers echoed ominously behind them, a chilling reminder of the danger that closed in with every passing second. Susan's breath came in ragged gasps as she pushed Emma forward, her heart pounding with a mix of fear and determination.

As they raced through the undergrowth, Susan's foot snagged on an unseen root, sending her sprawling into an abyss concealed by the darkness. Emma's scream shattered the night air as she lunged for the rope that Susan managed to grab. Desperation surged through Emma's veins as she struggled to pull her mother back up.

"Mom, hold on! Please!" Emma's voice trembled with fear, her small hands raw and bleeding from the rough rope.

Above the cacophony of their struggle, the malevolent voices of their pursuers grew louder, more urgent. "They went this way!" one of them barked, their intent clear and terrifying. Susan looked up at her daughter, her eyes filled with both love and terror.

"Emma, you have to let go!" she called up, trying to keep her voice steady despite the terror. "Run, my love, run through the Greenwood. It will lead you to Uncle Austin. He'll keep you safe." "No, Mom! I can't leave you!" Emma sobbed, her grip tightening on the rope, her heart breaking. "Promise me you'll be safe," Susan urged, tears streaming down her face. "Promise me, my love. Hurry!"

Emma, trembling with sorrow and fear, looked into her mother's eyes one last time. "I promise, Mom," she whispered, her voice barely audible. With a final, heart-wrenching glance, she let go of the rope, and Susan plunged into the darkness below. Emma's heart shattered as her mother's cries faded into the abyss. She wiped her tears with the back of her hand, clutching the claw pendant around her neck as if it could give her strength. "Stay strong," she whispered to herself, the words a fragile shield against the overwhelming terror. The voices were closing in. "They're coming this way!" a voice shouted, snapping her out of her trance. Driven by pure survival instinct, Emma turned and ran, the pendant swinging wildly against her chest. The Greenwood was a labyrinth of twisted roots and low-hanging branches that clawed at her clothes and skin. Each step was a battle against exhaustion, fear, and the oppressive darkness. "I have to make it to Uncle Austin," she thought, her mind a whirlwind of desperation. "I can't let Mom's sacrifice be in vain."

After what felt like an eternity of running, Emma spotted a flicker of light through the trees. Her heart leapt with hope, a small, fragile flame in the darkness. She pushed herself harder, ignoring the burning pain in her muscles and the tears that blurred her vision. She burst into a small clearing, her legs finally giving out beneath her. She collapsed onto the soft grass, panting and trembling, her eyes wide with fear and hope. The clearing was bathed in the gentle glow of the moon, a stark contrast to the terror that had driven her here. Clutching the pendant tightly, Emma whispered, "I made it, Mom. I'm safe... for now." The voices of her pursuers were distant now, mere echoes in the forest. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she allowed herself a moment of relief. But she knew she couldn't stay here long. With the memory of her mother's last words echoing in her mind, Emma gathered her strength and rose to her feet.

The Greenwood stretched endlessly before her, dark and foreboding, but she knew she had to keep moving. Each step was a struggle, but she pressed on, driven by the fierce determination to survive and find Uncle Austin. The pendant around her neck, a symbol of her mother's love and courage, was her beacon of hope in the vast, unforgiving darkness. As Emma continued through the Greenwood, she grew more tired and battered. She stumbled, her legs aching and her vision blurred by tears and exhaustion. Suddenly, a searing pain shot up her leg. She had stepped into an antelope trap hidden beneath the leaves. The steel jaws clamped down mercilessly, tearing into her flesh. Emma's scream of agony ripped through the night. She collapsed to the ground, clawing at the trap with her hands. The pain was excruciating, and blood poured from the wound, staining the forest floor. "No, I can't give up now," she thought, her vision swimming. "I have to get to Uncle Austin. I promised Mom." She struggled against the trap, but her strength was fading fast. The loss of blood and intense pain were too much for her to bear. Her vision blurred, and she felt herself slipping away. With a final, desperate plea to the heavens, Emma passed out.......
