It's been 20 years since the demise of the Kingdom of Aurian, a royal family eradicated... or is there one that may have survived?

Chapter 1 My Name is....

It's late October the crisp wind is seeping through the small gaps on the window, I press my sleeve against the pane to wipe away a small area to see what the early morning brings.

It's peaceful here just on the edge of Farimere, one of the three fae kingdoms, the smallest of them which is governed by Lord Emeris, my family are one of the few where our homestead lays just beyond the boundaries where our farm provides food for the city or large town which is more of an honest observation, it sits within a valley with some dense shrubbery scattered by surrounding the City, it's not really much to admire with grey stone walls ivy clinging to majority of it with parts crumbing from wars years ago, yet to be rebuilt, most of the buildings inside are the same but with one large at the center the main hall where Lord Eremis resides, the fae are rather simple people who are connected to nature, their apperance is usually telling with red hair and pointed ears not to be mistaken for a witch or wizard.

My family are quite obvious fae, my mother with long red curls stopping just at her breast bone and geez emerald eyes a true beauty amongst the fae and my father a broad man who stand a similar height to my mother about 5'9 they were blessed with two children my older sister and me, my sister is pretty much my mother just younger and slimmer and then there's me.... My parents always told me I was unique or some would state a misfortune, I have long blonde hair almost white waves flowing down my back reaching just above my bottom, with light blue eyes and tanned skin a stark diffence to my family or any one I've ever seen. My mother says I was a gift from nature and almost 16 years ago to this day she found me unconscious bundled over a log slowly going down the river, I was nearing the brink of death when they found me and healed me the only thing they knew was my name carved into a necklace that clung around my neck,

'Azalea' the only knowlege that I have of a life that I cannot recall before this, but one I have always longed to find out.
