"Just why aren't you killing me also!, you killed my parents already, my fiance! And ruined my life totally beyond repair, You took your bloody revenge as you wanted! I'm just an innocent soul out of all this SO WHY!!!" In immense anger, she pushes back his huge broad chest with her palms but who was she kidding, his body remained stiff, not wavering no matter the forces she puts in it.  However, his lips curled up in a dangerous smirk, and he got hold of her tiny wrist on his chest, gripping it so hard almost snapping it into two. "Aargghhh!!!" She winces out loudly at the hellish pains that follows, her teeth clenching so hard. "You wanna know why?" His thick dark voice echoes out and in a swift, he slammed her back, back on the wall so hard, his huge body towers over her small figure and he raise her gripping hand above her head, pinning it there. His second hand got hold of her neck in a tight wrap, restricting her to breath properly. Her mouth drops opens instantaneously, and her other hand held his hand strangling her, trying to get it away but she knew herself, her little strength was no match for his massive own. As each seconds passes, her eyes grew redder and she stares pleadingly at his cold dark eyes for mercy, gasping for breath at the same time. "Just like you...I was once innocent, just like you, I was just clueless and weak!!!" His voice sounded gruffly to her hearing, with his eyes beaming anger. "But guess what made me the devil I became today...it was all because of what your bloody father told me when I was in the same shoes as yours. I asked him the same question...and that bastard said to me..." His eyes darkened more, and his grip on her neck grew tighter, that he began to raise her up with it. "Arg...arggh..." She gasped more and more for breath. "...'It wouldn't be fun to kill you now kiddo, grow up and come back for revenge, then the real fun begins' " He quoted, his lips curling up in a deadly laughter.                        "So now for your answer, I say to you...'It wouldn't be fun to kill you now little mouse, buckle down and plan your revenge...then the real fun...starts!" He grins wickedly, his dark cold eyes piercing deeply into hers without remorse.

Don Flavio and his little captive Chapter 1 { The target's daughter arrival }

SICILY~ITALY .

^SHOOTING RANGE^

The incessant shooting sounds could be heard, so as some birds chirping around the sky, flying helter skelter as bullet ran through them, killing some, missing some.

On the field, stood a tall, hefty man, his masculine tattooed arms stood out from the armless he puts on, he held a M16 riffle, which he was using to gun down the birds. From the strong aura emitting from him, you could have known he's not just an ordinary figure.

Of course he's not.

He's FLAVIO CASTILLO, the rumoured gentlest devil you could ever come across.

Shocked right?

How can a devil be gentle?

You'll probably be thinking.

Yeah a devil can be gentle as long as you don't step on his wrong foot.

Do that, then you'll know why he's called a DEVIL.

He's the Don of the DARK SOULS.

The most feared in the clan.

As he continues in his shooting, a tall lanky man about his height walk over to him, holding a phone.

On his neck, lies a spider drawing.

A person who do not look well, would have slapped his neck to kill it not knowing it's just a tattoo.

He goes by Whiskey, he's the underboss to the clan and also the closest to Don Flavio.

The mob sees him as the fool who only cleans up after Flavio, but those close to him only know just how dangerous he could be.

"Don, Asshat is on the line" He reported on getting to Flavio.

Don Flavio stopped shooting and Whiskey place the phone on his ear.

"Speak" His flinty, but hoarse voice says.

"The target's daughter is coming home from the Philippines by tomorrow. It's confirmed" A thick feminine voice reported from the other end of the line.

"Got it" Don Flavio replied and Whiskey withdraw the phone from his ear ending the call.

"Be prepared, the blood day has finally been set" Don Flavio says, cocking the M16 riffle.

"Yes Don" Whiskey bowed and Don Flavio resumed to his shooting, this time more fierce than before, shooting down the birds with no mercy, the corner of his lips curling up in a sinister smile.

^NEXT DAY^ AIRPORT.

A pair of slender legs in red boots makes her way among the crowd of people walking about in the airport with her luggage. It was an average height lady, dressed in a mini floral gown, dark shades cascading her eyes, her lips painted in dark red. You could mistake her a model, at how mesmerizing she looks.

She then stops, dipping her hand into her hand bag, bringing out her phone. A pretty smile spread on her lips as she dials a number, Just at the second ring, the call got connected and a masculine deep voice echoes out to her hearing.

"Hello baby doll" Her smile grew wider as she hears his voice, the voice that makes her heart go haywire everytime she hears it.

"I'm at the airport, come pick me up" She said trying to compose her excitement, there was silence for some moments and she was forced to furrow her brows.

"Hello Max are you sti_"

"Give me some minutes, I'll be there" The voice said cutly and ends the call.

"I...wait hel_" She withdraw the phone from her ear to see it already disconnected.

"What the heck...he hanged up already" She frowns slightly, then sighs her mind going back to what her best friend told her back when she was still in the Philippines.

"I think you're rushing too much into things Kez, you should have a rethink, you just finished your college not quite long, you are talented and industrious, this is a time for you to focus on your work and establish yourself, not for you to chase some guy around" Anya, her Filipino friend said to keziah who was busy arranging her clothes in the suitcase.

"Listen Anya, this is me establishing myself. Whatever business I wanna do I can always start over there in Italy... with my husband" She said with an eye roll, finding Anya's words a little annoying.

"Your husband? You haven't even met in face to face, you've only seen him in pictures and video calls?"

"There's no much different"

"Seriously??" Anya threw her arms in the air, standing from the bed she's sitting.

"Nothing I say is gonna change your mind, innit? There! You're determined and decided already! But don't say I didn't warn you Kez, your love isn't going the right way at all. You don't just submit yourself to a man you don't know a damn about! Believe me bestie, you're ruining yourself for the wrong person. I clearly warned you!" Anya stated, walking out of the room.

"No matter what you say I'll protect my love and you'll be my bridesmaid for the wedding!!!" Keziah yelled after her as she left.

"Ugh!!" She heaves out a deep sigh, slumping on the bed. Truly as Anya has stated, she has never meet this fiance of hers face to face.

She could still remember the very day her father suddenly ring her up telling her of her fiance she never knew she was betrothed to.

Like any other sane ladies she would have totally disagreed of this but on seeing a mere picture of him, she fell.

Like she totally fell and she finds no reason for not accepting him as her future husband.

Throughout the months they've been together, they've only talk on calls and video calls, Maximo has never once come to visit her with the excuse of how busy he is managing his company.

To her knowledge, he owns a construction company.

A pretty good job she approves of.

He's just the perfect guy she'll ever want to her, she just doesn't get why Anya never like the idea of him.

Not even for a moment.

"We've been dating for nine months already... that's long enough to birth a child...how dare she says I don't know a damn about him? Nobody can know my Maximo like I do...nobody" She mumbles to herself.

FLASHBACK ENDS...

"I'm gonna get married, and start afresh. I'm never gonna regret my decision...never" She let out a deep breath then proceeded walking out of the airport.

While I Was Bleeding Out, He Lit Lanterns For Her

As I lay on the floor of our manor, bleeding out from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, I used my last ounce of strength to call my husband, Cole. I begged him for help, my vision blurring. But the only thing I heard was the clinking of champagne glasses and his mistress's giggle in the background. "Stop the drama, June," Cole snapped, his voice cold. "We're about to go on stage. Don't call again." He hung up, leaving me to die alone on the Persian rug while he accepted an award with another woman on his arm. I woke up in the hospital days later. My baby was gone. They had removed my fallopian tube. Cole finally arrived, smelling of expensive scotch and his mistress's perfume. He didn't hug me. He didn't cry. Instead, he leaned over my hospital bed, pressing his knee into the mattress until my fresh stitches tore open and bled. "You embarrassed me by calling an ambulance," he hissed. "My mistress, Alycia, says you're faking it. Clean yourself up." He left me bleeding again to go announce a $10 million donation to Alycia's "groundbreaking" medical research. I stared at the TV screen, numb. The research Alycia was taking credit for? It was mine. I wrote that patent years ago under a pseudonym. They thought I was just a poor, orphan housewife who needed Cole's money to survive. They had no idea I was actually a billionaire scientist hiding my identity. I pulled the IV needle out of my arm. A drop of blood fell onto the divorce papers I had been hiding. I didn't wipe it off. I signed my name right over it. Then I walked into the bank, reactivated my dormant account with $128 million, and bought the penthouse directly overlooking Cole's house. The mourning widow is dead. The avenger is born.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

The Placeholder Bride's Secret Billionaire Revenge

For two years, I was the invisible force behind tech billionaire Kieran Douglas, convinced that our "private" romance was his way of protecting us from the tabloid spotlight. I managed his mergers, warmed his bed, and waited for a future that didn't exist. The illusion shattered at 6:00 AM when a Page Six alert debuted Kieran's "real" romance with socialite Aspen Schneider. Before I could even process the betrayal, Kieran sent me a cold, professional text: "Order flowers for Aspen. Pink peonies. Her favorite." When I tried to walk away, my own mother called me a disgrace and threatened to lock my inheritance forever unless I married a sixty-year-old businessman to save her failing estate. At a high-society gala that same night, Aspen intentionally crushed my burned hand in front of the cameras, while Kieran stood by and dismissed me as a "mediocre assistant" who had overstayed her welcome. I stood in the cold New York rain, drenched in champagne and humiliation, realizing that every sacrifice I made for Kieran was a joke. I was a ghost in a penthouse that was never mine, discarded the moment his "soulmate" returned. To the world, I was just a placeholder whose time had run out. But Kieran forgot one thing: my father's multi-million dollar trust fund unlocks the moment I legally marry. I didn't need love; I needed a signature and a shield. I walked into a discreet law firm and signed a marriage contract with a man I believed was the city's most notorious, scandal-ridden playboy. I thought I was marrying a degenerate "beard" to buy my freedom and secure my revenge. I didn't realize the man who signed that paper wasn't a playboy at all, but Gaston Collins-the most powerful and dangerous man on Wall Street-and he had no intention of letting our fake marriage stay fake.

Flash Marriage To My Best Friend's Father

Flash Marriage To My Best Friend's Father

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch-a titan of industry and my best friend's father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.
