Seven years ago, Nora Taylor was betrayed, stripped of her dignity, and forced to flee after a night of humiliation orchestrated by her wicked half-sister. Pregnant and desperate, she besawed she had lost one of her unborn children to her family's cruelty. With nothing left, she disappeared overseas, vowing to one day return-not as the helpless girl they destroyed, but as a woman powerful enough to bring them all to their knees. Now, she's back. No longer the broken girl of the past, Nora is a global sensation in the entertainment industry, a rising star with beauty, brains, and a thirst for vengeance. Every move she makes is calculated, every step leading her closer to the revenge she craves. But fate has a twisted sense of humor. A chance encounter at the airport changes everything when a frail little boy calls her "Mommy." The child is none other than the missing son she thought was dead-and he belongs to Mason Murphy, the ruthless billionaire she just stole $3 billion from. Mason, a man of power and control, begins to question everything-his marriage, his son's origins, and the woman he once underestimated. As secrets unravel, old wounds reopen, and an undeniable pull threatens to shatter their carefully built walls. With revenge, deception, and buried emotions tangled in a dangerous game, will love be strong enough to rewrite their fate? Or will the past consume them before they can reclaim what was stolen?

Chapter 1 The Big Comeback

It was way too hot. Like, melt-your-face-off kind of hot. Nora Tylor felt like she was roasting from the inside out, her brain completely fried. If that wasn't bad enough, her whole body was shaking like she'd been thrown into a blender at full speed.

"Oh, come on!" she wanted to yell, but her lips refused to move.

She was trapped. Stuck. And the pain? A crazy mix of fire and ice, one second, it burned through her veins, the next, she was freezing like she'd been dumped in the Arctic. Then, just like that, darkness. The kind where you can't even see your own hand in front of your face.

After what felt like forever, the insane heat finally faded. Weak and exhausted, she fumbled around in the dark, grabbing at her scattered clothes like she was trying to get dressed before the last bus left without her. Deep breath. Straighten up. Act normal.

Then, the moment she stepped out, A voice dripping with sarcasm hit her like a slap.

"Nora, finally done? Wow, three whole hours. Impressive! Guess Mr. Michael Larson still has some energy left, even though he's an older man," Amanda Tylor sneered.

Amanda. Her lovely half-sister. Pretty face a rotten heart. And the one who had tossed her into this nightmare like yesterday's trash.

Two weeks ago, her grandmother was diagnosed with stomach cancer. The hospital bill was so ridiculously high that even selling both kidneys wouldn't cover it. Desperate, Nora had gone to her father for help, only for him to shut the door in her face. The man had stopped caring the day her mom died over ten years ago.

Meanwhile, Michael Larson, some rich businessman from Highway Group, had offered a whopping five million just to spend a night with Amanda. But Amanda, being Amanda, wasn't about to take one for the team. Instead, she tricked Nora into taking her place, using their grandmother's life as a bargaining chip.

With no choice, Nora had given up everything that night. For her grandma. Because if she didn't, who else would?

"I did what you asked," Nora said, her voice flat. "Now, where's my five hundred thousand?"

Amanda raised an eyebrow, a smirk curling on her lips. "Five hundred thousand? Oh, I thought we agreed on fifty thousand. Since when did it magically multiply?"

Nora's hands curled into fists. "You... Amanda, how can you be this shameless?"

Amanda giggled like she was enjoying a private joke. "Relax, I was just teasing. Don't be so serious! You'll get your five hundred thousand, don't worry. Since Mr. Larson paid five million, I'll just keep the rest as a little service fee. After all, you did all the hard work, right?"

Without another word, Amanda waltzed past her and pushed open the bedroom door.

Nora bit her lip hard, her heart burning with rage as she stormed toward the elevator.

Inside the room...

Amanda flicked on the bedside lamp, lazily glancing at the man on the bed, only for her entire body to go stiff.

Wait... what?!

Her brain short-circuited as she stared. That wasn't Michael Larson.

It was him.

The most powerful man in the city.

For a second, all Amanda felt was pure, seething jealousy.

How?! How did that useless girl end up with such a golden opportunity? This should have been me!

Her expression darkened.

Nora, you got lucky this time. But trust me, your luck won't last forever.

Seven and a Half Months Later... A newborn's wail tore through the delivery room.

"The first one is a boy! Don't stop now, there are still two more inside her!" the doctor announced.

Outside, Amanda tapped her foot impatiently. The second the doctor stepped out, cradling a tiny baby boy, her eyes gleamed with satisfaction.

The doctor hesitated, then lowered her voice. "Ms. Amanda, just as you requested, she's given birth to a boy."

Amanda smirked, patting the curve of her own stomach. "Say it again. Who is the mother of this child?"

The doctor hesitated, but the promise of a luxury condominium shut down her conscience real fast.

With a forced smile, she nodded. "Congratulations, Ms. Amanda! You've just given birth to a baby boy."

Amanda laughed, completely pleased with herself.

The doctor fidgeted. "Uh... about the other two babies still inside her... what should we do?"

Amanda's expression turned icy. She reached out and pinched the newborn's soft cheek, her voice dripping with cruelty.

"Get rid of them."

Her lips curled into a wicked grin. " Just spare her but I won't let her keep any kids. I'm generous like that. But all two? Not happening. This little boy is my golden ticket to the top, and I refuse to share my success with that pathetic woman."

With that, she spun on her heel, the click-clack of her stilettos echoing down the hall. "Do it right, and I'll pay you double."

Seven Years Later...

Harrington International Airport was a madhouse. Travelers zipped around, dragging suitcases, making calls, rushing to catch their flights.

Among them, several men in black suits moved like shadows, murmuring into their earpieces.

"Mr. Murphy, no sign of the target at Exit A1."

"Same at A2."

"Nothing at B1."

"No movement at B2 either."

Inside a VIP lounge, a tall man lounged on a sleek black couch, his expression unreadable.

Mason Murphy.

A pair of expensive sunglasses covered half his face, but the sharp lines of his jaw and the cold curve of his lips were enough to make anyone think twice about messing with him. His presence alone was enough to send chills down anyone's spine.

As the final report came in, the air in the room turned ice-cold.

Jacob Brook, his right-hand man, hesitated before speaking. "Sir, is it possible we got the wrong info? That top hacker, Banny, wasn't on the flight to Harrington."

They'd been chasing Banny for months. Just when they thought they had her, she fell into thin air.

Mason's voice was calm but lethal. "Impossible."

His sharp gaze locked onto his laptop screen.

At first, everything had been in place. Then, suddenly chaos.

Which meant only one thing.

He'd been played, A second later, his laptop screen flickered. Then black.

Jacob cleared his throat. "Uh, sir... I think your laptop just got hacked."

Mason turned to him slowly, his expression unreadable. Oh, really? Thanks for the update.

Before he could speak, the door burst open.

A bodyguard rushed in, looking pale. "M-Mr. Murphy... Abner followed you to the airport... but he lost his bodyguards. We can't find him anywhere."

Mason's expression turned deadly. His voice was quiet but sharp as a blade.

"Find. Him. Now."

In a dimly lit hallway on the airport's east side, Nora walked briskly, a backpack slung over one shoulder.

"How's it going? Did you lose the people tracking me?" she whispered.

"Relax, Nora Tylor. One tiny move from me, and his whole system crashed," came the smug reply.

She was about to respond when a strange feeling crept up her spine.

Her steps slowed.

Something was off, Then, in a steady, commanding voice, she called out.

"Who's there? Show yourself."

And then, from the shadows, a weak, trembling voice whispered.....

"Mommy?"

Nora's heart stopped as her breath caught in her throat as she turned.

And laying there, fragile and trembling...

Was a little boy.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I was finally brought back to the billionaire Vance estate after years in the grimy foster system, but the luxury Lincoln felt more like a funeral procession. My biological family didn't welcome me with open arms; they looked at me like a stain on a silk shirt. They thought I was a "defective" mute with cognitive delays, a spare part to be traded away. Within hours of my arrival, my father decided to sell me to Julian Thorne, a bitter, paralyzed heir, just to secure a corporate merger. My sister Tiffany treated me like trash, whispering for me to "go back to the gutter" before pouring red wine over my dress in front of Manhattan's elite. When a drunk cousin tried to lay hands on me at the engagement gala, my grandmother didn't protect me-she raised her silver-topped cane to strike my face for "embarrassing the family." They called me a sacrificial lamb, laughing as they signed the prenuptial agreement that stripped me of my freedom. They had no idea I was E-11, the underground hacker-artist the world was obsessed with, or that I had already breached their private servers. I found the hidden medical records-blood types A, A, and B-a biological impossibility that proved my "parents" were harboring a scandal that could ruin them. Why bring me back just to discard me again? And why was Julian Thorne, the man supposedly bound to a wheelchair, secretly running miles at dawn on his private estate? Standing in the middle of the ballroom, I didn't plead for mercy. I used a text-to-speech app to broadcast a cold, synthetic threat: "I have the records, Richard. Do you want me to explain genetics to the press, or should we leave quietly?" With the "paralyzed" billionaire as my unexpected accomplice, I walked out of the Vance house and into a much more dangerous game.

I had been a wife for exactly six hours when I woke up to the sound of my husband’s heavy breathing. In the dim moonlight of our bridal suite, I watched Hardin, the man I had adored for years, intertwined with my sister Carissa on the chaise lounge. The betrayal didn't come with an apology. Hardin stood up, unashamed, and sneered at me. "You're awake? Get out, you frumpy mute." Carissa huddled under a throw, her fake tears already welling up as she played the victim. They didn't just want me gone; they wanted me erased to protect their reputations. When I refused to move, my world collapsed. My father didn't offer a shoulder to cry on; he threatened to have me committed to a mental asylum to save his business merger. "You're a disgrace," he bellowed, while the guards stood ready to drag me away. They had spent my life treating me like a stuttering, submissive pawn, and now they were done with me. I felt a blinding pain in my skull, a fracture that should have broken me. But instead of tears, something dormant and lethal flickered to life. The terrified girl who walked down the aisle earlier that day simply ceased to exist. In her place, a clinical system—the Valkyrie Protocol—booted up. My racing heart plummeted to a steady sixty beats per minute. I didn't scream. I stood up, my spine straightening for the first time in twenty years, and looked at Hardin with the detachment of a surgeon looking at a tumor. "Correction," I said, my voice stripped of its stutter. "You're in my light." By dawn, I had drained my father's accounts, vanished into a storm, and found a bleeding Crown Prince in a hidden safehouse. They thought they had broken a mute girl. They didn't realize they had just activated their own destruction.
