After years of marriage, Crystal Foster endured cold stares and a double betrayal that shattered her world. But when she wakes up from a bewildering dream, she finds herself in the body of another woman with a child and entangled in a scandalous connection with her ex-husband's powerful younger uncle. The world has turned upside down, but this time Crystal isn't the helpless wife waiting to be discarded. With a powerful man by her side, she embarks on a path of ruthless revenge. The mean girls who once mocked her will fall, and the cowardly men who betrayed her will bow, some even calling her "Auntie." As her vengeance unfolds and her enemies crumble, a dangerous spark ignites between her and the enigmatic man she's married to. But just when she thinks she's in control, he leans in with a smirk. "Sylvia Byrne, how about we take our relationship to the next level?"

Chapter 1 Madam is having another episode

"Please... spare my dad, don't..."

In the hospital room, the precise machines beeped rhythmically. A man's hand reached for the ventilator's button, ready to pull it out.

"Hyland Riley, you can do whatever you want to me, but don't hurt my dad! For years, my dad trusted and relied on you. Do you even have a conscience?"

Ultimately, the oxygen tube was pulled out, and she could only watch helplessly as the heart monitor went from double digits to a flat line.

"No..."

Tears flowed uncontrollably as she screamed in despair, unable to move.

Suddenly, Hyland turned around, his face twisted with a crazed smile, holding a short knife as he approached her step by step. "The old man is out of the way, now it's your turn, my dear wife..."

The glint of the blade sent shivers down Crystal Foster's spine, as if she had fallen into a bottomless pit.

"Stay back! Get away! Go away!"

She had to survive, she must survive...

But that terrifying face came closer and closer, and she could almost see the red lines crisscrossing in his eyes."Mommy, mommy, what's wrong, mommy?"

A soft, childlike voice echoed in her ears, accompanied by tiny hands gently shaking her arm.

Crystal suddenly opened her eyes, flailing her hands wildly, "Don't touch me! Get away!"

"Thud."

A dull sound echoed, and the world fell silent.

Cold sweat soaked through Crystal Foster's beige silk pajamas as she gasped for air, feeling as if invisible hands had been gripping her throat for what seemed like an eternity.

Where was she?

Once she shook off the nightmare and looked around, she realized she was in a spacious, bright bedroom, designed in a sunken style, roughly a thousand square feet.

In front of the large floor-to-ceiling windows, lace-trimmed blackout curtains fluttered gently in the breeze.

"Mommy, Otto is sorry. Otto won't do it again. Please don't be mad, Mommy."

It was the voice from earlier.

Crystal turned toward the sound and saw a child crouched in the corner of a single chair.

The child looked about three years old, with a bowl-cut hairstyle, a pale little face, and eyes like black gems covered in a light mist, looking pitiful."Mommy? Why are you calling me Mommy?"

She was only 23 and had never had a child, let alone a three-year-old!

The little one looked up in surprise, furrowing brows that resembled fuzzy caterpillars, and gently placed a soft, tiny hand on her head, cautiously asking, "Mommy, is your illness not better yet?"

What illness?

Crystal was puzzled when suddenly the door was kicked open from the outside. Two men in black rushed in and, without a word, snatched the child from her arms.

"Let me go! Otto wants to be with Mommy! Otto wants to be with Mommy... together!" The little boy kicked and punched in the arms of the man in black, every fiber of his being resisting.

Crystal Foster felt the emptiness in her arms and tried to get up, but a sharp pain pierced her head. She gasped and instinctively clutched her head.

"Otto."

The deep male voice was rich and commanding, making the air in the room feel thin and heavy.

Crystal, dazed and confused, looked up to see a tall, sharply dressed figure. His face was pale and indistinct.

What was happening?

She clenched her fists and knocked on her head, trying to clear her mind. To the men in black, it was a warning sign. "Quick, the Madam is having an episode! Restrain her!"

In a fog, Crystal was dragged back to the bed, her hands and feet bound as if shackled. The hysterical cries of the child echoed in her ears, "Let go of Mommy! Let go! You're all bad people!"

Mommy? Madam?

The unfamiliar titles painted vivid pictures in her mind, scenes that didn't belong to her but to another woman-Sylvia Byrne, Mrs. Riley, Martin Riley's wife...

A woman who had schemed her way into Martin Riley's life, forcing a marriage, and had become mad with unrequited love, suffering from severe bipolar disorder...

How could this be?

Crystal Foster stood frozen in disbelief, replaying memories in her mind.

Could it be that she was already dead?

She had met Martin Riley before; he was Hyland Riley's uncle. And now, she had somehow become Hyland Riley's aunt?!

Nicole had entered marriage with Walter, a man who never returned her feelings, bound to him through an arrangement made by their families rather than by choice. Even so, she had held onto the quiet belief that time might soften his heart and that one day he would learn to love her. However, that day never came. Instead, he treated her with constant contempt, tearing her down with cruel words and dismissing her as fat and manipulative whenever it suited him. After two years of a cold and distant marriage, Walter demanded a divorce, delivering his decision in the most degrading manner he could manage. Stripped of her dignity and exhausted by the humiliation, Nicole agreed to her friend Brenda's plan to make him see what he had lost. The idea was simple but daring. She would use another man to prove that the woman Walter had mocked and insulted could still be desired by someone else. All they had to do was hire a gigolo. Patrick had endured one romantic disappointment after another. Every woman he had been involved with had been drawn not to him, but to his wealth. As one of the heirs to a powerful and influential family, he had long accepted that this pattern was almost unavoidable. What Patrick wanted was far more difficult to find. He longed to fall in love with a woman who cared for him as a person, not for the name he carried or the fortune attached to it. One night, while he was at a bar, an attractive stranger approached him. Because of his appearance and composed demeanor, she mistook him for a gigolo. She made an unconventional proposal, one that immediately caught his interest and proved impossible for him to refuse.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

I sat in the gray, airless room of the New York State Department of Corrections, my knuckles white as the Warden delivered the news. "Parole denied." My father, Howard Sterling, had forged new evidence of financial crimes to keep me behind bars. He walked into the room, smelling of expensive cologne, and tossed a black folder onto the steel table. It was a marriage contract for Lucas Kensington, a billionaire currently lying in a vegetative state in the ICU. "Sign it. You walk out today." I laughed at the idea of being sold to a "corpse" until Howard slid a grainy photo toward me. It showed a toddler with a crescent-moon birthmark—the son Howard told me had died in an incubator five years ago. He smiled and told me the boy's safety depended entirely on my cooperation. I was thrust into the Kensington estate, where the family treated me like a "drowned rat." They dressed me in mothball-scented rags and mocked my status, unaware that I was monitoring their every move. I watched the cousin, Julian, openly waiting for Lucas to die to inherit the empire, while the doctors prepared to sign the death certificate. I didn't understand why my father would lie about my son’s death for years, or what kind of monsters would use a child as a bargaining chip. The injustice of it burned in my chest as I realized I was just a pawn in a game of old money and blood. As the monitors began to flatline and the family started to celebrate their inheritance, I locked the door and reached into the hem of my dress. I pulled out the sharpened silver wires I’d fashioned in the prison workshop. They thought they bought a submissive convict, but they actually invited "The Saint"—the world’s most dangerous underground surgeon—into their home. "Wake up, Lucas. You owe me a life." I wasn't there to be a bride; I was there to wake the dead and burn their empire to the ground.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

I was at my own engagement party at the Sterling estate when the world started tilting. Victoria Sterling, my future mother-in-law, smiled coldly as she watched me struggle with a cup of tea that had been drugged to ruin me. Before I could find my fiancé, Ryan, a waiter dragged me into the forbidden West Wing and locked me in a room with Julian Sterling, the family’s "fallen titan" who had been confined to a wheelchair for years. The door burst open to a frenzy of camera flashes and theatrical screams. Victoria framed me as a seductress caught in the act, and Ryan didn't even try to listen to my pleas, calling me "cheap leftovers" before walking away with his pregnant mistress. When I turned to my own family for help, my father signed a document severing our relationship for a five-million-dollar payout from Julian. They traded me like a commodity without a second thought. I didn't understand why my own parents were so eager to sell me, or how Ryan could look at me with such disgust after promising me forever. I was a sacrifice, a pawn used to protect the family's offshore accounts, and I couldn't fathom how every person I loved had a price tag for my destruction. With nowhere left to go, I married Julian in a bleak ceremony at City Hall. He slid a heavy diamond onto my finger and whispered, "We have a war to start." That night, inside his secret penthouse, I watched the paralyzed man stand up from his wheelchair and activate a screen filled with the Sterling family's darkest secrets. The execution had officially begun.
