Chapter 1 The Stormborn Child

Laura's speed spell was Unmatched.

She was Known to all as the fastest witch alive.

But her broken heart clouded her mind, just like the tears streaming from her eyes clouded her vision, preventing her from dodging the sharp branches as she darted through the woods, adding more wounds to her gravely wounded body.

but she could barely notice.

the wounds were the least of her worries.

She cried clutching her belly, which appeared in the late stages of pregnancy.

the recent events kept playing in her mind over and over again.

wondering in denial how it all happened, unable to believe that her husband was really killed right before her eyes.

Suddenly, she fell to the ground, screaming, holding her belly in pain.

unnatural pain erupted from her womb.

Like if The baby's strong pulses were draining her magical energy.

At the same time she could sense a strange power gathering inside her womb.

struggling to move she murmured, "I can't stop now" .

She could feel danger approaching.

trembling, Scanning the woods with eyes full of fear she whispered "Spirit of the forest, help me. they killed your son, please don't let them take grandchild too."

immediately a giant bolt of lightning shattered the peaceful daytime of the forest.

Huge black clouds formed in an instant, turning the clear Suny sky into a stormy night of thunder and rain.

In seconds, the storm's power increased incredibly.

Torrential rain pierced the leaves like spears.

Lightning illuminated the pitch-black clouds all over the sky in multiple splits.

The sound of the raging winds was almost louder than the terrifying sound of thunder, snapping the tree trunks and tossed them into the air.

Strange Bright flames defied the rules of nature as they raged amidst the rain, eating away at the trees in unnatural colors.

As Laura's moans of pain faded into the sounds of the raging storm, a look of determination appeared in her eyes. she hugged her belly tightly. "I won't let anyone hurt you."

reactivating her speed spell. She vanished in a flash.

But this time, something had changed.

the branches on her way bent just before touching her.

The heavy rain that had nearly shatter the rocks was disappearing above her head.

the fire was clearing the way in front of her.

But the pain in her womb began to increase beyond her ability to bear.

It was a strange feeling, as if the child inside was drawing energy not only from her body, but also from the storm, the forest, and everything around them.

And then came the worst part.

The contractions.

The baby was coming, and far too soon

"No, not now" Her voice trembled in despair. "Please hold on just a little bit longer."

Her white hair, glowing with a blue halo, fluttered around her face, some of it sticking to her skin from the rain.

Fear filled her bright blue eyes as she looked around at the burning shadows of the forest.

She could hear them now, the faint howls of wolves.

They were near.

Her heart pounded, hammering against her ribs.

The howls grew louder, echoing around her like a death call.

she knows very will whats coming after her.

The wolves were no ordinary beasts. they were faster, smarter, bigger, and more deadly. Their glowing red eyes were the last thing most people ever saw.

She stumbled and nearly fell, but she held herself together. A new wave of pain swept through her stomach, and she let out a muffled cry.

But she forced herself forward. The forest seemed endless, an ever-shifting maze of shadows and fire, but then, through the haze of smoke and rain-she saw it.

A cave.

Carved into the side of a rocky hill, its dark entrance offering a glimmer of hope.

But doubt sneaked into her mind. Would it be a haven or a trap?

If the wolves find her inside, it's the end. She would be trapped, but there was no time to decide.

The contractions pain surged violently, ripping the air from her lungs. She screamed, clutching her belly as her knees nearly twisted beneath her.

The baby was coming, and there was no stopping it.

She gritted her teeth, forcing her body to move. raising a trembling hand she drew a glowing symbol in the air.

The light pulsed and spread, surrounding her legs like a shimmering aura.

"Sailor Jambus!" she whispered, the spell unfurling.

The world around her blurred as the magic propelled her forward.

The fire-lit rocky ground became a band of color beneath her glowing feet. The long distance to the cave disappeared in three powerful leaps.

Her body skidded to a stop at the cave entrance, nearly collapsing under the force of her landing.

The glow of her speed spell faded, leaving her shivering and gasping.

The storm continued, relentless.

The wind swept through the forest like a living creature, tearing at trees and fanning the flames.

Rain smashed violently down the rocky hillside, and water cascaded into the cave entrance.

She hesitated as she stood at the entrance to the dark cave. she looked behind her at the forest in fear.

The sounds of wolves howling were still nearby.

The thought of being trapped in the cave froze her veins.

But the pain left her with no choice.

Another contraction, more painful and intense than before. She began to lose her balance, feeling the world spin around her.

Her vision began to blur. She clutched the cave walls, taking a few steps before her weak hands could no longer support her, and she fell to the rocky ground.

The child was coming, its birth hastened by the raw magic seeping into her blood and his.

Time faded with the sensation of pain.

She barely noticed her newborn's cry echoing through the cave.

Trembling, she reached out and picked up her child, her voice barely a whisper.

"Please... stop crying, they'll hear us..."

To her surprise, the child stopped crying, as if he understood her words.

Then something even stranger happened: he giggled! a sweet sound that cut through the tension like sunlight in a storm.

The laughter echoed from the cave into the forest, carrying a powerful force. and with it, the storm vanished, as if it had never existed.

The howling winds turned to a whisper, the rain stopped, each droplet freezing in the air before disappearing.

The raging fires that had consumed the forest shuddered and dimmed, their brightness extinguished as if they had been ordered to retreat.

The forest itself seemed to hold its breath.

The woman stared at her child in awe. How could a voice so innocent and pure possess so much power? The chiled Giggled again, louder this time, and she felt the ground beneath her tremble in response. The earth stopped shaking, and an eerie silence fell over the place.

But the silence was brief.

A terrifying shadow crept toward the cave entrance, accompanied by the faint sound of approaching hooves.

And then she saw it: a giant wolf, its rain wet silver fur glinting in the light. Its red eyes glowed like embers amidst the darkness of the cave as it stared at her.

Then it let out a long, terrifying howl that echoed through the forest for a few moments before the scattered pack responded with similar howls.

They're coming.

Weak, wounded, and nearly blind with exhaustion, she tried to rise

but her body refused.

She collapsed back onto the rocky ground, clutching the baby to her chest.

The wolf advanced slowly, deliberate and predatory.

Through the haze of her tears and pain, she gathered what strength remained.

She raised a trembling hand, fingers glowing with orange light, and pointed at the wolf.

"Stay... away..." she gasped.

With a fast jump The wolf decided to attack.

A thick orange beam shot from her fingertip, striking the wolf mid leap.

The creature dropped to the ground, its massive body collapsing in a lifeless heap.

For a moment, there was silence-then the baby giggled again, a soft, joyful sound that seemed almost impossible amid the terror. Her heart ached at that sound. How could a newborn laugh like that?

But she had no time to wonder. The last magic beam she fired drained the last bit of energy from her body.

Darkness crept at the edges of her vision. She fought to stay awake to protect her child, but her body gave out.

The last thing she saw were the glowing red eyes of more wolves as they entered the cave.

Six more wolves entered the gave, the baby looked at them as if watching an interesting cartoon.

they circled the child, their growls low and threatening.

The baby giggled again, and as the sound echoed through the cave, The wolves stared at the baby, their glowing red eyes softening to warm brown.

they kept staring for a moment then turned away and walked to the cave's entrance and sat there.

calm, watchful, guarding the child as if nothing else mattered.

Time passed.

Then came another roar.

A tall, gaunt man appeared at the mouth of the cave, a huge black bear fur cloak rest in his shoulder. and gripping a thick and tall tree branch like a staff.

His glowing red eyes swept the cave in disbelief and rising fury. His voice thundered, "How? Who did this? No beast tamer has ever turned my wolves against me!"

The wolves circled him, baring their teeth.

But he only smiled as he smirked them with a cruel look. "You think you can defy me?" he snarled, raising the tree branch.

With a crack of power, a massive Giant golden lion burst forth, shaking the cave with each heavy step. The ground trembled beneath its paws as it roared, loud enough to rattle the stone walls.

The wolves whimpered, shrinking back, their earlier defiance dissolving as they bowed in submission.

The lion's golden fur gleamed, its massive body barly fit throw the cave entrance as it stepped forward.

loomed over the child, unmoving. But the baby only giggled and reached out, tiny fingers curling into the lion's thick mane.

The tall man approached, standing beside the beast. His eyes dropped to the unconscious woman on the ground. His sneer was filled with contempt.

"Princess Laura," he said.

"How far you've fallen. The most powerful witch I've ever known-reduced to this. Dying in a cave, unable to protect her own child."

With a flick of his hand, the man ordered the lion to strike.

The beast let out a deafening roar that shook the cave, the sound echoed at the walls like thunder.

Then the lion swung his massive paw, his claws slicing through the air with terrifying force and speed.

But it wasn't Princess Laura he attacked.

It was his own master.

Before he could react, In a blur of motion, the lion massive jaws clamped around him, tearing through him with terrifying force. He didn't even have time to scream. His final thought was disbelief:

How?

How could this happen?

My greatest beast... betrayed me.

The lion's glowing red eyes faded to a calm brown as he released his master lifeless body.

Then, without a sound, turned its gaze back to the child.

But there was no rage in its eyes this time.

only calm reverence, as though it recognized something greater than itself.

The lion moved toward the cave entrance, slow and regal, and lay down there, licking its golden fur with quiet dignity.

Meanwhile, Laura unconscious, felt the world slipping away. Her body gave in, but her mind drifted, pulled into a memory... of how it all began.

Their king, once noble, had fallen under the influence of General Olaf.

a ruthless warlord who commanded the warrior armies with an iron fist.

His son, Prince Johan, stood against him.

He begged his father to stop, "Another war will not bring peace father it will bring ruin."

But defiance came at a price. Enraged, the king imprisoned his son in the void dungeon, a place from which no one returned.

Meanwhile, the sorcerer king forged secret alliances-with the blood elves, the fire demons, and the druids. Good and evil races joind Together to stop the warriors Invasion, they devised a plan. For when a warrior died, his strength, skill, and life essence passed to his kin, wich make it harder to fight them with every falling warrior.

Together they cast a single, devastating spell to wipe out the warrior race.

And it worked.

The warriors were all but annihilated.

Johan, locked in the void, inherited the power of every fallen warrior. The sheer weight of their strength broke the prison around him.

When he emerged, he was no longer the same.

He was unstoppable.

The alliance panicked. Some whispered about the prophecy of the last warrior and fled in fear. Others gathered to discuss how to deal with it.

They sent their finest to end him.

Then, he vanished into the Ancestor's Woods, a place where even the boldest feared to tread.

But Laura did not fear.

Princess of the sorcerers, the most powerful witch of her kind, she was sent to finish the job.

But when she found Johan, she did not kill him.

She fell in love with him.

Together, they disappeared from the world, choosing peace over bloodshed.

They lived in secret among the trees.

But peace does not last.

Nine months later, with Laura heavy with child, they were discovered.

Her brother, Garen-prince of the sorcerers had found his way into the forbidden forest.

He came with an army. to end what the war had begun.

Knowing Johan's strength, Garen didn't come alone. He arrived with ten elite heroes and hundreds of soldiers trained for one purpose.

to kill the last of the warrior bloodline.

he also brought a secret weapon: a magical stone containing the Alliance's greatest spell, the very one they developed and used to wipe out the entire warrior race.

Laura couldn't fight them. Not her brother. Not her own people.

And Johan... he couldn't bring himself to kill Garen, his wife own brother in front of her.

Garen stepped forward, voice calm and diplomatic. "Surrender," he said, "and we'll spare Laura.

She can return as a princess of the sorcerer. We will even accept your unborn child into the royal family.

Johan looked at Laura as she warned him not to listen.

then at the child growing inside her. He saw hope. A future. Peace. Family.

And so, he surrendered.

But the moment he dropped to his knees, Garen betrayed them.

With a cruel smile, he invoked the Alliance's great spell from the stone.

and killed Johan before Laura's eyes.

Her scream tore through the forest, a cry of pain deeper than magic itself.

At that same moment, the pain of childbirth struck her with full force.

Collapsing to her knees, she clutched her stomach, gasping.

Garen's voice rang out, cold and sharp: "Kill the traitor and her unborn child!"

But Laura was faster.

Faster than any spell. Faster than their blades.

With a burst of desperate magic, she vanished into the woods.

Her shield spell shattered under a rain of attacks, but she kept running, blood trailing behind her,

shielding the child with everything she had left.

Then came Arwan.

The great beast tamer. The leader of the assassins.

He summoned his silver wolves, the only creatures fast enough to catch her.

And so began the legend of Kira, Son of the last warrior and the most powerful witch. And The prophecy of the last warrior.

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?

I watched my husband sign the papers that would end our marriage while he was busy texting the woman he actually loved. He didn't even glance at the header. He just scribbled the sharp, jagged signature that had signed death warrants for half of New York, tossed the file onto the passenger seat, and tapped his screen again. "Done," he said, his voice devoid of emotion. That was Dante Moretti. The Underboss. A man who could smell a lie from a mile away but couldn't see that his wife had just handed him an annulment decree disguised beneath a stack of mundane logistics reports. For three years, I scrubbed his blood out of his shirts. I saved his family's alliance when his ex, Sofia, ran off with a civilian. In return, he treated me like furniture. He left me in the rain to save Sofia from a broken nail. He left me alone on my birthday to drink champagne on a yacht with her. He even handed me a glass of whiskey—her favorite drink—forgetting that I despised the taste. I was merely a placeholder. A ghost in my own home. So, I stopped waiting. I burned our wedding portrait in the fireplace, left my platinum ring in the ashes, and boarded a one-way flight to San Francisco. I thought I was finally free. I thought I had escaped the cage. But I underestimated Dante. When he finally opened that file weeks later and realized he had signed away his wife without looking, the Reaper didn't accept defeat. He burned down the world to find me, obsessed with reclaiming the woman he had already thrown away.
