Claimed By the ruthless Alpha Chapter 1 Adolfa's Point of View

CHAPTER 1

Adolfa's POV

What the hell? I mistakenly collided with one of the Lycans in Greko Pack. A sharp pain shot through my head instantly. That Lycan was formidable-like Alpha Lyran. One of the pack's warriors, he held a long, sharp, double-edged sword in his hands, staring at me menacingly.

Meto was a dangerous Lycan, but his disregard for certain Alphas in the secluded area of Greko had already earned him punishment. His sister, Luna Celeste, known for her beauty and commanding presence, rushed forward just as he was about to receive judgment.

Alpha Lyran, unfazed, announced in a cold, unwavering voice, "This will be a public punishment. Move aside, you filthy Wereraven."

His words dripped with disdain. I felt a pang of sympathy for Meto as his sister pleaded for mercy, but Alpha Lyran had already made up his mind.

Swallowing my fear, I stepped forward. "Alpha Lyran-"

A low growl rumbled from his throat, silencing me instantly. His piercing gaze sent shivers down my spine, but I couldn't back down.

"He meant no disrespect. Please, spare him and don't strip him of his rank."

Before I could utter another word, his sword slashed across my waist. A sharp, searing pain tore through me, and I gasped, struggling for breath.

I staggered backward, blood seeping from my wound. The world blurred as I clutched my side, desperate to stop the bleeding. My vision swam, but I could still sense Alpha Lyran's presence looming over me. He reached for me, his grip firm, his strength undeniable.

Everything around me faded as darkness consumed my senses.

I woke to the weight of heavy chains binding my wrists and ankles. My body ached, my strength nearly depleted from the wound in my side. The metallic scent of my own blood filled the air, making me nauseous.

I forced my eyes open to find myself inside the grand council chamber, a vast auditorium lined with imposing stone pillars and rows of high-ranking Lycans and Lunas. The tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife.

Alpha Lyran stood at the front, his towering presence impossible to ignore. His golden eyes burned with an intensity that sent a fresh wave of fear through me.

"This is what happens to anyone who oversteps their boundaries without understanding their place. Do you understand?" His voice was sharp, slicing through the silence like a blade.

A chorus of voices filled the chamber.

"Yes, Alpha Lyran!"

My heart pounded. I tried to move, but pain shot through my body, pinning me in place. Blood dripped from a wound on my side where I had been struck. I bit my lip, stifling a cry.

Just then, Luna Prese approached, a cruel smile playing at her lips. She was notorious in Greko for her cold demeanor and ruthless methods. The silver syringe she held in her delicate fingers glistened under the dim torchlight, making my breath hitch.

"This will make it easier for you," she said smoothly, her voice laced with false sweetness. But I knew the truth-Luna Prese had a reputation. Many had not survived her so-called treatments, their deaths conveniently chalked up to unavoidable consequences. And now, I was next.

I tried to move, to protest, but my body was too weak. My vision blurred, and my head lolled to the side.

"Adolfa."

A voice called my name. I struggled to focus, to see through the haze clouding my vision. The room felt like it was spinning, my breathing shallow and labored.

I turned weakly, barely able to lift my hand, as I tried to make out the figure standing over me. My heart ached, my body screamed in pain, and my spirit hung by a thread. My life had always been full of hardship, and right now, there seemed to be no way out.

My name is Adolfa Ray. I'm 21 years old, with long, light brown hair and a life filled with sorrow. My past is riddled with suffering, and now, I stand at the precipice of a fate I never could have imagined.

The large doors of the council chamber creaked open, and I was forced inside. The grand auditorium was filled with hundreds of onlookers, their eyes heavy with judgment. My shackles clanked as I stumbled forward, my legs barely able to hold my weight.

Alpha Lyran's voice boomed through the hall, cold and merciless.

"This is what happens to those who overstep their boundaries. Do you understand?"

A thunderous chorus of agreement rumbled through the crowd. Fear clenched around my heart like an iron vice.

Meto was nowhere in sight.

Two guards seized my arms, pulling me forward. My body screamed in protest, but I bit back the pain. I would not show weakness.

I had endured worse before, and I would endure this too.

I lifted my chin, meeting Alpha Lyran's gaze with defiance. Whatever punishment lay ahead, I would not break.

I am Adolfa Ray. Nothing will ever break my spirit, my spirit is stronger than my body, and I have endured horrors that would break a lesser soul. My life has been filled with trials, with suffering, and now-

Now, I must face my fate. And nothing will ever stop me.

HONEY MULLINS

Six years ago, I was a naive girl sold by my father to the powerful Sanders estate, only to be tossed onto the streets after a brutal assault they labeled "marital infidelity." I fled the country pregnant and broken, hiding from the shadow of a husband I had never even met. Now, I've returned to New York with my triplets to sign the final divorce papers and disappear forever. But Archibald Sanders-the man I was told was a crippled recluse-intercepted us with the cold precision of a predator. He didn't see the woman his family destroyed; he saw a gold-digger who had shamed his name. His security team hunted us to a grimy motel, using tactical force to snatch my children away and drag me to his glass-walled empire. In his office, he loomed over me, demanding a DNA test and threatening to throw me in prison while my babies were lost to the foster system. He was convinced I'd cheated, yet he stared at my sons with a haunting confusion, unable to ignore the stormy blue eyes that were a perfect mirror of his own. I stood there, paralyzed by his scent-the sharp tang of rain and expensive leather that triggered the icy dread of my worst nightmares. How could he accuse me of betrayal when he felt exactly like the monster who had shattered my life in that dark hotel room? "I'll sign anything," I sobbed, "just give me my kids." But the game changed when my five-year-old son hacked the tower's security, holding the skyscraper hostage to save me. In the chaos, a fragile, silent boy-Archibald's secret son-wandered into the room and reached for me as if I were his missing soul. Archibald's face turned to stone as he tore up the agreement and locked the doors. "Until I find out why my son is looking at you like that," he growled, "you aren't going anywhere."

My bank account showed exactly $42.18, and my student loan notifications were flashing red. I lived in a sweltering Queens apartment with my Aunt Lydia, where the air was thick with the smell of stale frying oil and the constant threat of being homeless. Lydia handed me a grainy photo of a man twice my age and told me she had already "sold" me to him. He was a dry cleaner looking for a wife, and in exchange for my hand, he would pay off her credit cards and my debt. If I didn't show up for the date that night, my boxes would be on the curb by midnight. I arrived at the cafe in a state of panic, my selective mutism making it impossible to even breathe. In the crowded room, I accidentally sat at the wrong table. Instead of the man from the photo, I found myself facing Gerhard Holcomb—the cold, terrifyingly handsome billionaire whose family owned the very museum where I worked. He didn't send me away; instead, he studied my trembling hands and offered me a different deal: a two-year contract marriage, a two-million-dollar payout, and a strict clause forbidding any children. I signed the papers and moved into his Park Avenue penthouse, thinking I was finally safe. But when I went back to the old apartment to retrieve the only memento of my dead parents, Lydia lashed out, leaving me bleeding from a head wound. Gerhard’s retaliation was absolute—he had her arrested and her building foreclosed on within hours, claiming he was simply "protecting his assets." As I recovered in his silent, glass-walled home, I saw a call from a famous socialite flash on his phone, and a cold truth settled in my gut. I wasn't just a wife; I was a placeholder, a silent shield used to fend off the women from his past. I looked at the massive pink diamond on my finger and realized the silence I had lived in my whole life was about to become my most expensive prison. I had traded a life of poverty for a high-stakes game of shadows, and now I had to survive the man who claimed to own me.

Flash Marriage To My Best Friend's Father

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch-a titan of industry and my best friend's father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.
