Kyle's Little Wolf Chapter 1 RIP Lady

Ava's heels echoed through the corridor as she walked into the office building taking the private elevator which she normally takes when she is with Anthony. On her hands were cake and a gift boxed wrapped, a surprise she had in store for her man.

Ava had always believed in love, and Anthony had made her believe in it, too. What more could she ask for? A supporting family and tomorrow, she will become the daughter-in-law to the Alpha and Luna of Dominion pack. How would she have gotten that connection if her father wasn't the beta to Alpha Matthew?

**Ting**

The elevator opened and she stepped out only to find the passage empty. She was expecting Cynthia to be somewhere around so she could help her carry the cake as her hands hurt badly.

'Well, if Cynthia isn't here that means Anthony isn't also. They must have gone for a business meeting' she hummed before making her way to Anthony's office. She was going to drop the cake there and wait for them to get back.

She stepped into the quiet office, dropped the cake and gift on the table that was filled with papers and piled up files. Ava sighed as she shook her head, ready to help arrange the stuff on the table. She paused when she heard laughter coming from Anthony's dressing room in his office.

Her forehead folded in a frown, she tried to listen some more, and she began to hear the voices and silent cries. Ava dropped the papers in her hands immediately as she gulped, with a racing heart, she began to walk towards the room.

With every step she took, she trembled in fear of what she was hearing aligning with what she was imagining in her head. Slowly and quietly, Ava opened the door so narrowly and peeped through. Her heart practically stopped. She covered her mouth with her hand when she saw the heartbreaking scene before her.

Anthony was in bed with Cynthia, her best friend. The room spun her vision blurry as hot tears rolled down her cheeks. Cynthia, her childhood friend and her fiancée in bed the day before her mating ceremony, she stood frozen.

Her world came crumbling before her eyes as she choked on her tears, pained and betrayed, she tried to shut the door but her eyes refused to tear away from her man entangled with the woman she once trusted.

"Fuck! Cynthia, I won't trade you for anything" Anthony swore.

"Ah...!" Cynthia moaned, "Says someone that would be married to his Luna tomorrow"

"It's you," his breathing shallow, "It's you that will always be my Luna in my eyes" he confessed. Ava swallowed painfully with a broken heart.

Quietly, Ava shut the door and with trembling legs went back to pick up the cake and box, she left the office with her breathing held. The moment she got into the elevator, she broke down. Tears gushed down her eyes like a flood; her fingers shaking as she again and again saw the scene before her eyes.

Anthony had asked her to focus on the preparation, while he made the money,

'Best way to make money' she thought. They had promised to keep themselves for each other until after marriage, how dare he do this to her?

The moment she got out of the company building, she threw the cake into the trash can and flagged a cab.

"Where to, ma'am?" The cab driver asked before turning to the rearview mirror to see a crying passenger.

"Any good club is fine," Ava whispered in a raspy voice.

The driver didn't ask any further, he turned on the radio playing cool music, and drove off to the most famous club in Dominion Pack. Ava paid the driver before walking into the bar. With the loud music, the dim light and people minding their business, Ava knew this was the perfect place to drown in her sorrow.

"Can I get a bottle of whiskey?" she asked. Seeing that the lady was a young inexperienced lady, the bar attendant corrected her,

"You mean a glass..." he passed her a small glass of whiskey.

Ava took the glass and downed it at a go; her eyes shut tightly, and her throat burned as she swallowed the liquor. She finally opened her teary eyes and with a rasped voice, she replied,

"No, a bottle"

Not arguing further, the bar attendant gave her a bottle of whiskey as he sneered, "You seem to have had the worst day of your life today"

"You have no idea" Ava replied as she continued to drink from her bottle not caring how far drunk she had become. She blabbered about what was going on in her life to the bar attendant who barely paid her any attention as he had to attend to other customers.

"He made me believe in love. He kissed me under the moonlight and made me feel I was complete in his arms; we were committed to each other. Even though it was an arranged marriage, I believed in it because he told me he loved me" she cried miserably.

"Ouch, looked like he never really did" the bar attendant finally responded, "I feel you should pay him back and not sit here crying. How dare he fuck your best friend?"

"Right? How dare he?!" Ava yelled. Her face now red and flushed, a few strands of her hair covered her wet cheeks, "He hasn't even tried my pussy yet and he had the guts to say she was sweeter than I am?" Ava scoffed.

The bar attendant was amused; "I think you should pick some guy here in this bar and fuck him too. He shouldn't be the only one having the time of his life on the night before his wedding"

"Yes!" Ava replied, punching the air, "I will do that right now" A drunk Ava agreed turning around to find the perfect guy to sleep with just to get revenge on Anthony. Her messy mind still tells her to not push through with her plan but Ava brushes it off. She was ready to do this. If Anthony cannot keep himself for her, there is no need to give him her first.

Ava was a very coordinated lady. She has never been to a bar, never drank, and obviously never had sex. All of these were new to her but just to ease the pain and the hurt, she was ready to give herself to someone, or maybe... maybe it was because the bottle of whiskey before her was half down already.

Her eyes scanned the bar, she barely could see properly in the dim-lit as she was damn drunk, just then she stopped her gaze on someone.

A man who sat back, legs spread in lazy dominance at the other end of the club, his lazy eyes held gaze with the person before him. Her breath hitched.

The man was handsome, with broad shoulders, and a sharp jaw-line, he had dark curly hair that she imagined raking her fingers through. He looked dangerous, powerful, and commanding and she liked it.

Turning back to the bar attendant, she said with twinkling eyes, "Him"

"Him, who?" the bar attendant asked with wide eyes when he saw who Ava pointed at. Before he could stop her-warn her, Ava gulped from the bottle of liquor, got up and staggered to the man.

"No, don't---" she was gone.

"Hey... Fine man, you looked like someone I have been looking for"

The man slowly but steadily met Ava's eyes, "What gave you the impression that you can speak to me?" he asked.

Ava's face puffed up, "I have a job for you" She ignored his question and sat opposite him pushing the man who was seated opposite him aside,

"Young lady, it seems you don't know who I am," though his voice was cold, Ava smirked,

"Exactly who I was looking for! We don't have to know who we are," she chuckled, her voice dripping with challenge. What she doesn't realize is that the man before her was the master of challenges.

"Will you---" The man she had earlier pushed was about to bark at her but was stopped by his boss.

"You looked like someone who is making a mistake" The man replied with raised eyebrows, amused when he noticed her finger on the back of his hand as she softly drew circles on it.

The man beside them was beginning to panic, sweat trickling down his face, he didn't know who the girl was but he was so sure that this lady would make him lose his job as the manager of the club.

"Maybe, but I don't care" came her bold reply.

The man's eyes flicked over Ava, assessing her and wondering if she was new not to know him, and decided to flirt with him. Not like her flirting skill was top-notch but he was amazed at her boldness.

"What do you want, little wolf?" Kyle finally asked, his blue eyes now fixed on her brown ones but Ava wasn't intimidated, she didn't plan to back down either.

"One night" she replied, her voice steady like she had thought it through, "No names, no communication after... just--- just one night"

The man, Kyle, watched her with an unreadable expression; there was something that made her stomach flip like he could see right through her.

Kyle was always the one making the deal with ladies. They don't get to make a deal with him but this girl... she was bold, but deep within her eyes, he could see hurt.

He could see the pain in her eyes, she was holding back, fighting through. He didn't know why he was moved by it. He continued to stare at her, and just when Ava was about to give up in embarrassment, he said,

"Alright" he broke the silence and got up, "Let's get out of here" he smiled, taking Ava's hand as they both walked out of the club. The people who saw this were shocked but the most shocked were the bar attendant and the manager.

"Does she know who she is about to get involved with?" the bar attendant asked no one in particular as he watched them leave,

"RIP, lady".

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

Flash Marriage To My Best Friend's Father

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch-a titan of industry and my best friend's father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.
