"Did you really think you could run from me forever.....after the way I touched you that night?" he growled, his hands pinning her wrists above her head, eyes dark with intensity as they drank her in. "You were mine from the second I touched you....and no amount of time or distance will change that." Her breath hitched. She hated the way her body remembered him-how his voice alone could shatter her defenses. His touch burned through the fabric of time, pulling at memories she'd fought to bury. Every word he spoke sent a shiver down her spine, curling heat in places she'd sworn had long gone numb. But it wasn't just desire. It was fear. Fear of what he made her feel. Fear of the truth she hadn't told him. Fear that if she let him in again, she might never find the strength to walk away. As the past and old enemies resurface and buried secrets begin to unravel, Kimberly is forced to confront the past she tried so hard to forget. But with every truth revealed, the danger grows, and so does the temptation to fall again. Caught between betrayal, obsession, and a love that refuses to die, Kimberly must fight to protect the one thing she swore to keep safe. Because some sins don't stay buried. And some passions are impossible to escape.

After One Reckless Night Chapter 1 The Audition

The last time Kimberly Owens stood in New York, she was barefoot, pregnant, and bleeding from the heart.

Now she was back in heels, holding a slim portfolio, and doing everything she could to keep her hands from shaking.

Her reflection in the glass doors looked unfamiliar. Smooth hair, with a subtle makeup. The cheap-but-decent blazer borrowed from her friend. She didn't look like someone desperate for a second chance. But she was.

She pushed through the revolving doors into the dazzling lobby of Harrington Modeling Agency.

It was cold in the kind of way that didn't come from air conditioning. It was the kind of cold that said we don't have time for nerves here.

As she walked further, she saw stylish men and women walked by in expensive shoes, looking bored, like coming to one of the best modeling agencies in the world was just normal for them.

Kimberly gripped her bag tighter.

She hadn't walked a runway in six years. Hadn't worn anything but mom jeans and Keira's glittery stickers on her arms most days.

But today had to work. If she blew this, it wasn't just her dreams at stake. It was rent and groceries. The daycare bill waiting unpaid on her kitchen table.

She stepped up to the receptionist's desk.

The woman looked up from her computer with such elegance, sharp red lips and a flat expression it made Kimberly swallow.

Her eyes scanned Kimberly in one sweep, pausing at the fraying seam on her blazer sleeve. Kimberly straightened instinctively.

"Name?"

"Kimberly Owens."

She tapped on her computer for a second before she looked up.

"Head to fifteenth floor. The others are already waiting. You'll be called in shortly."

"Thank you," Kimberly said.

The receptionist didn't answer. She just returned to her screen and waved her toward the elevator.

Kimberly turned, took a steadying breath, then walked toward the silver doors, her heels echoing on the glassy floors. She pressed the button and waited, nerves buzzing under her skin.

A reflection flickered beside hers in the fancy steel. It was a tall, well-dressed man standing a few feet away. He didn't glance at her. He was on the phone, voice low and firm, saying something about "tightening selection standards."

She quickly averted her gaze, exhaling.

The elevator opened with a soft ding, and she stepped in alone.

Stepping into the fifteenth floor was like stepping onto a cloud. Wide, white, and silent.

A long hallway led to a double-door room where other candidates waited. Kimberly's stomach flipped.

She wasn't the only one chasing dreams today.

The waiting hall was already crowded, women in tight black dresses, impossibly high heels, and expressions that could make one uncomfortable.

Kimberly felt every second of the six years she'd been away from this world.

She took a seat near the corner, silently praying the others couldn't hear the nervous pounding in her chest.

But of course a few girls threw glances her way when she walked in. One even sized her up from head to toe with a smirk, like she already knew Kimberly wasn't a threat. She whispered something to another and giggled.

Kimberly scoffed and looked away quickly, trying to stay calm.

Ignore it, she told herself. She had walked into scarier rooms. Given birth alone in a hospital, faced rejections, landlords and life itself. She could survive this too.

She was doing this for Keira.

Ten minutes passed.

Then people began to whisper when a tall woman with an iPad walked in.

"Ladies and gentlemen," she said crisply. "Mr. Harrington will be joining us shortly. He'll make his selection himself. Please be ready."

Gasps followed upon hearing that. Even the girls who'd been pretending to be calm sat straighter, fixed their hair. Someone whispered, "The Bryce Harrington? Oh my gosh!"

Kimberly on the other hand, frowned upon hearing the name.

Mr. Harrington?

The name stirred something in her chest. She'd heard it before. Probably in one of those business articles or on the side of a high-rise billboard. Billionaire CEO, Media mogul. Fashion industry shark.

Whoever he was didn't matter to her. What mattered to her most, was getting this job she had come to audition for.

The door opened again, and they all heard the soft footsteps.

He walked in like he owned the world, which of course he did.

Kimberly didn't look at him immediately. She was too busy breathing through the sudden weight in her chest. But then his voice came. cool, deep, and unmistakably familiar.

When the owner of the voice stepped in, Kimberly's whole body froze.

He was tall in a sharp suit, with gray eyes that swept the room like a storm.

Bryce Harrington. The man from six years ago.

Her knees almost gave out.

He didn't notice her at first. He was speaking to his assistant, walking past the girls one by one, eyes cool and unreadable.

But when his gaze landed on Kimberly, everything stopped.

The room instantly faded. The voices, the whispers, the excitement. It all vanished into a tensed silence.

It was just the two of them.

Staring.

SHANA GRAY

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

The Discarded Heiress: Marrying My Lethal Husband

The rain in Detroit was slick with grime when my family finally came to fetch me. They didn't want a reunion; they wanted a sacrificial lamb to marry into the Kaufman empire to save their failing business. I thought I was just being sold off, but the limo ride ended under a dark overpass where six hired thugs were waiting with chains. My own sister had ordered them to "break my spirit" so I’d be a shaking, pathetic mess by the time I reached the altar. They called me "Detroit trash" and sprayed air freshener when I sat on their leather seats. My stepmother wanted a video of me begging for my life, and my father was ready to trade me like a used car to a man everyone called a "vegetable." They expected a submissive country girl, unaware that I was a high-level "cleaner" who could snap a radius bone before they could even scream. When I finally reached the Kaufman estate, I found my fiancé, Barron, slumped in a wheelchair, drooling and silent. But as soon as the doors closed, the "invalid" grabbed my wrist with a grip of iron and whispered a command that changed everything. I didn't understand why my own blood was so desperate to see me destroyed. What had I ever done to deserve a hit squad and a forced marriage to a man they thought was a corpse? But Barron isn't a vegetable, and I'm not a victim. We just touched down at the Moon family gala in a matte-black helicopter, and as the doors slide open, the "broken" bride is about to show them exactly what happens when you throw away the wrong daughter. "If we're going to crash a party," Barron whispered, his eyes burning with lethal clarity, "we should make an entrance."

One Night With The Wrong Brother

One Night With The Wrong Brother

I thought I was waking up in the arms of Arthur, the man I loved. But as the morning light hit the Hamptons estate, the man buttoning his cuffs by the window turned around with eyes like chips of ice. It was Augustus Riddle, Arthur’s cruel younger brother, and I had just spent the night whispering confessions of love into the wrong man's ear. The night I thought was a beautiful beginning turned into a devastating nightmare. Instead of comfort, Gus treated me like a stain on his expensive carpet, scribbling a check for "services rendered" before shoving me into a dark service corridor to hide my existence from his brother. "How much does it cost to buy your silence?" He sneered, before leaving me barefoot in a torrential downpour while he drove away in a luxury Cadillac. Four years later, I am a struggling actress in Los Angeles, working double shifts as a barista just to keep the lights on. My life was finally stable until my roommate dragged me to a high-end dinner to meet her new "influential" boyfriend. The man sitting at the table, looking more arrogant and lethal than ever, was Augustus. He spent the entire night humiliating me, calling me a pathetic amateur and a social climber in front of my only friends. When I fled into the rain and collapsed on the sidewalk, skinning my knee until I bled, he watched from his car. He saw me clutching a plastic baggie containing the taped-together pieces of that four-year-old check—the only proof of my shame. He looked at me like roadkill, rolled up his window, and drove off into the dark. I couldn't understand why he was doing this. Why did he hate me enough to crush me, yet remember that I couldn't handle the smell of cigarette smoke? Why did he leave me bleeding in the street, only to send expensive medical supplies and coffee to my door the very next morning? "I'm moving out." I told my roommates, realizing that Gus Riddle didn't just want to destroy me; he wanted to haunt me. I grabbed my suitcase and walked out with eighty dollars to my name, finally ready to disappear into the city before he could burn the rest of my life to the ground.
