Chapter 1 I DISDAIN MONDAY

Finding a decent line of work in London is a hard one however Ethan a 32-year-old who is from London was ideal to have an employment and not just any rate work but he was an effective senior financier.

Ethan is a tall refined man, with earthy colored eyes and full hair, he is the first child of his parents and he was getting along nicely.

Ethan lives alone in his condo in London.

It was cold on a Monday morning, and at precisely 5:00 Am which was Ethan's ordinary season of awakening, his caution rang and he awakened

Ethan adores his work however he can't stand Mondays

"Goodness, I disdain Mondays, the dawns exceptionally quick every Sunday night, is it that each Sunday night is a brief time, how I wish I can rest all the more yet I can't on the grounds that I would rather not be behind schedule for work" Ethan soliloquizes

He got up and said his morning petitions then he went to shower and do different things after which he bundled his morning meal and left for work

Ethan typically goes out at precisely 6:30 Am consistently despite the fact that work begins by 8:00 Am, and he will arrive as early as 7:00 Am

"In as much as I disdain Mondays, I can't skip work on Mondays, yes it's something that is normal for everyone because everybody abhors Mondays since Mondays reminds you that resting days are over" Ethan Soliloquizes as he enters the bank

After the manager, the security, and the cleaners, Ethan was the 6th individual that generally comes to work on time

One of the cleaners by the name of Angela who has eyes for Ethan saw that he was soliloquizing then she chose to know why

"Sir, Ethan, good morning," Angela welcomed

"Morning Angela, how are you?" Ethan inquire

"I am fine Sir, gratitude for asking, and you?" Angela addressed

"Well as you can see am OK" Ethan answered rapidly

"Sir, pardon me but I was contemplating whether anything is annoying you?" Angela asked

"I don't have the foggiest idea about, how do you mean?" Ethan responds

"I saw you were soliloquizing when you strolled in and my Dad generally says that when one soliloquizes he's upset," Angela said

"Goodness, that, Its nothing, it's simply that I disdain Mondays, it reminds me that resting days are over, I need to awaken and come to work and I will do that till Friday" Ethan makes sense of

"Haha, me as well, I disdain Mondays, early today when my caution rang, I was like 'Monday business day' however I truly need this work so I had to come but do you have any idea why one gets worn out on Monday morning?" Angela snickered and addressed

"No, tell me" Ethan mentioned

"Indeed, one gets drained on Monday morning as a result of a lot of flexing during the weekends," Angela makes sense of

"Haha, you're hilarious Angela and in some way you're correct however I don't do flexing, I spend my weekends on my PC setting flies that I will use to work, the most un-outing I do is to stroll to my closest companion's home and chill with him in his home, nothing much, so assuming you're figuring I did a ton of flexing during the weekends you're off-base in light of the fact that flexing isn't my thing" Ethan chuckled and said swiftly

"I know sir," Angela answered

"How did you know?" Ethan inquire

"Because if you flex, you will not have the potency to be coming to work right on time from Mondays to Fridays, since I began working here I have never seen you come to work late and somebody who flexes won't be coming to work this early because they will be worn out" Angela elucidates

Ethan was amused that he had to ask "Wow, Angela, did you study psychology in school?"

"No, I didn't, but my Father did thus he thought me a ton about individuals' way of behaving and character and I read a ton of books about psychology" Angela explains smiling

"Alright, so what did you study in school?" Ethan questioned quickly

"I'm not yet in school sir" Angela answered

"Hmm, may I ask why ?" Ethan ask of

"Because there isn't any funds to further my education sir, it's the reason am really buckling down in other to acquire funds for that" Angela describes

"Goodness, am heartbroken about that, are you the one sponsoring yourself in school, what might be said about your parents?" Ethan enquired

"My Dad was the one sponsoring me in school before he lost his employment and as of now my parents are in the town" Angela responded ruefully

"Good gracious, sorry about that, so who are you living with presently?" Ethan inquired of

"All things considered, I was living with my auntie however she drove me out of the house so I stay alone in an apartment at this point" Angela replied

Ethan needed to find out more about Angela yet there was very little time since work begins by 8:00 And so he quickly asks her out for dinner

"Gee, Angela, I would have wanted to examine more about you but I really want to accomplish a few work now and you want to wrap up your chores too so how about we talk after work" Ethan recommended

"Okay sir," Angela answered

Ethan smile as he gaze at Angela

"Would you want to go out with me today for dinner by 5:00 Pm?" Ethan inquire

This was the moment that Angela has been waiting for her entire life, to go out with the man of her fantasies and without a second thought, she replied

I was four months pregnant, weighing over two hundred pounds, and my heart was failing from experimental treatments forced on me as a child. My doctor looked at me with clinical detachment and told me I was in a death sentence: if I kept the baby, I would die, and if I tried to remove it, I would die. Desperate for a lifeline, I called my father, Francis Acosta, to tell him I was sick and pregnant. I expected a father's love, but all I got was a cold, sharp blade of a voice. "Then do it quietly," he said. "Don't embarrass Candi. Her debutante ball is coming up." He didn't just reject me; he erased me. My trust fund was frozen, and I was told I was no longer an Acosta. My fiancé, Auston, had already discarded me, calling me a "bloated whale" while he looked for a thinner, wealthier replacement. I left New York on a Greyhound bus, weeping into a bag of chips, a broken woman the world considered a mistake. I couldn't understand how my own father could tell me to die "quietly" just to save face for a party. I didn't know why I had been a lab rat for my family’s pharmaceutical ambitions, or how they could sleep at night while I was left to rot in the gray drizzle of the city. Five years later, the doors of JFK International Airport slid open. I stepped onto the marble floor in red-soled stilettos, my body lean, lethal, and carved from years of blood and sweat. I wasn't the "whale" anymore; I was a ghost coming back to haunt them. With my daughter by my side and a medical reputation that terrified the global elite, I was ready to dismantle the Acosta empire piece by piece. "Tell Francis to wash his neck," I whispered to the skyline. "I'm home."

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

I woke up in a blindingly white hotel penthouse with a throbbing headache and the taste of betrayal in my mouth. The last thing I remembered was my stepsister, Cathie, handing me a flute of champagne at the charity gala with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Now, a tall, dangerously handsome man walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his hips. On the nightstand sat a stack of hundred-dollar bills. My stepmother had finally done it—she drugged me and staged a scandal with a hired escort to destroy my reputation and my future. "Aisha! Is it true you spent the night with a gigolo?" The shouts of a dozen reporters echoed through the heavy oak door as camera flashes exploded through the peephole. My phone lit up with messages showing my bank accounts were already frozen. My father was invoking the 'morality clause' in my mother’s trust fund, and my fiancé had already released a statement dumping me to marry my stepsister instead. I was trapped, penniless, and being hunted by the press for a scandal I hadn't even participated in. My own family had sold me out for a payday, and the man standing in front of me was the only witness who could prove I was innocent—or finish me off for good. I didn't have time to cry. According to the fine print of the trust, I had thirty days to prove my "rehabilitation" through a legal marriage or I would lose everything. I tracked the man down to a coffee shop the next morning, watching him take a thick envelope of cash from a wealthy older woman. I sat across from him and slid a napkin with a $50,000 figure written on it. "I need a husband. Legal, paper-signed, and convincing." He looked at the number, then at me, a slow, crooked smile spreading across his face. I thought I was hiring a desperate gigolo to save my inheritance. I had no idea I was actually proposing to Dominic Fields, the reclusive billionaire shark who was currently planning a hostile takeover of my father’s entire empire.
