cheek. "Why not? We've been trying for a year. Berry" Flower whined as she tossed the item in the trash. "I don't get it, I checked my ovulation and everything," Flower said. "Honey, the Lord w

you would like," Liona said. "No wonder I saw him at the bar earlier" Miracle said, "oh you saw him?" Liona asked "yes" , Miracle said slowly. "Oh are you okay?" Tina asked quickly. "It was hard but I didn't run away this time," Miracle stated proudly. "This time? You saw him before and ran?" Liona asked. "Liona cut it out," Tina snapped at her friend. "It's okay, guess I had a mini panic attack" Miracle said, brushing it off. But she sensed that Tina wasn't going to drop it that easily. "That is a serious thing Miracle" Tina snapped "how though? I didn't run away when I saw him today" Miracle said "the point is you did before. That means you are still hurt by what he did to you" Tina said. What the hell? Was Tina a therapist or something? "But who wouldn't still be hurt by that" Liona chimed in. "But you perpetuate that you are happy with Robert on Facebook and stuff" Tina said. "I am happy," Miracle insisted. "How did Robert feel when you saw Johnny again?" Liona asked "he wasn't too happy at my reaction" Miracle said. "I would think so Miracle, the man thinks that you are his completely and you're still hung up on your ex" Liona said. "He knows how I feel," Miracle said. "Do you still have feelings for Johnny?" Liona asked Miracle nodded slowly. "Tina finally said "you're going back to your old habits, Miracle and I don't like it ''''I'm not going back to anything Tina," Miracle snapped standing to her feet. "I don't need anyone to tell me about what I am doing." she added, grabbing her purse. "Someone is going to get hurt like always," Tina said. "Well it serves them both right doesn't it" Miracle snapped angrily digging in her purse and pulling out thirty dollars. "Goodbye" she said and left. Tina and Liona stared at the empty seat "I don't know if I want to feel sorry for her or punch her in the face" , Liona said. "I feel sorry for her," Tina said finally. "She's so hurt still and she thinks this is going to make her feel better" Tina said sadly. "I agree," Liona said. "So tell me how your plan is going to get close to Ummie?" Johnny asked to catch up with Brandon at his mother's house. Brandon had the biggest smile on his face "The connection is still there Johnny" Brandon said excitingly. "She looked so beautiful. We had lunch, and when she talks about business it's so sexy" he said. "We are going to look for some houses tomorrow," Brandon added. "Wow" Johnny said "I'm surprised, thought we would be hearing about your death on the news" Johnny said they both laughed. "I thought so too but she was gentle," he said. "I spoke to Miracle today," Johnny said, changing the subject. "Oh how did it go?" Brandon asked "as you would expect" Johnny said "but I'm not done. I refuse to lose to Robert" Johnny snapped. "Lose?" Brandon asked "I won't let him have Miracle" Johnny snapped. "We do not have to go to the reunion if you don't want to,"Brendon said. Bethany smiled "we are already packed up. Besides I want to see everyone again" Bethany said gently, taking his hand. He gently squeezed it, "how are you feeling?" he asked "I am alright" she said breathlessly. She caught his gaze "don't look like that" she said. "I still can't believe this," he said, bringing her hand to his face. "I know," she said with a sad smile. "But I am still here right now," she said. Brendon didn't understand how she could be so strong right now. She had hopes and dreams that wouldn't happen anymore. She wouldn't see Bailey grow up, wouldn't have another child, wouldn't grow old with him. "Bailey wants to join the basketball team at school" Bethany said, changing the subject. "Really?" he asked and she nodded "our daughter could be in the WNBA or something" she smiled. "She wanted to ask you if you could get her basketball goal and everything." She added, he brushed her hair "of course. She's going to be really good" Brendon said. She looked up at him "I told her you were good at basketball back in school" "that was streetball" Brendon said. Bethany knew that Brendon was raised on the rough side of the tracks. She was the one to bring him out of that lifestyle. "Well she needs to know the basics anyway. Don't teach her the street stuff" Brendon laughed and Bethany joined in. How many days had it been since they laughed? "Well.. that is the first time we have laughed in a few days" Bethany said. She snuggled up to him. "Hey" he said, his brain turning with ideas. "Hmm?" She asked, "Tomorrow, make a list of things you want to do" he said. "Oh okay" she said "I want to see my old friends first" she said. "Your wish is my command," he said. The next morning... "You look extra pretty mama," Ammie said as she came down for breakfast. "What?" Ummie asked surprised, she never heard her daughter compliment her looks before. "You look really pretty," she said. Ummie frowned as she placed her plate in front of Ammie. "Thank you" she said. "Got a date today?" Ammie asked. "No, just showing a client a few properties" Ummie said after a few minutes of hesitation. Her daughter of course wasn't buying it. She downed the rest of her orange juice. "You don't dress like that for clients... He must be some client" Ammie teased. Ummie placed her hands on her hips. "I know what, someone better get their butt ready for school and stop nosing" Ummie teased back. Ammie jumped off the chair and raced into the living room. Ummie grabbed the keys not before stopping at the mirror thinking about her daughter's reaction to her look. Would Brandon think she is pretty too? Who the hell cares if he thought she looked pretty? He was a client. Keeping that in mind Ummie walked out the door. Ammie stood at the door. "You're up early" his mother said as she fixed him a plate of breakfast food. "I got a meeting," Brandon said simply. She arched her eyes at him "What kind of meeting?" "Ummie is going to show me some houses today," Brandon said. "Uh huh... so you're really doing this?" she said as she placed the plate in front of him. "What do you mean ma?" Brandon asked but he couldn't play dumb with her. "I'm not an idiot son," she said. "Well eat up" she added wiping her hands on her apron. His phone dinged with a notification, he looked to see that Ummie had texted him the location of his potential house. His heart jumped at the simple text, "I have to go" he said standing and drinking the rest of his coffee. Jenny was busy getting the stage set up for tomorrow night. Many of their old friends were coming, not to mention possible producers. "Everything's looking pretty good there Jen" she turned to see Miracle walking up to the stage. "Miracle!" Jenny exclaimed jumping down and hugging her "I wanted to apologize for what happened the other day" Miracle said pulling away "oh? Girl, there's no need to apologize" she said, waving it off. Although she and Jenny had their rivalry over Johnny, Jenny had become a real friend that she could talk to without judgement. "I'm really excited to see your girls perform," Miracle said. Jenny found a chair and sat down and invited Miracle to do the same. "Thanks... but I see that there is something else you want to talk about" Jenny said. Miracle inhaled and exhaled "I met with Tasha and Liona yesterday. We got to talking and I sort of snapped at them" Miracle said. Jenny looked shocked "really? Why?" she asked "because of Robert and Johnny" Miracle snapped. She was getting mad all over again "they don't understand... They have perfect lives." Miracle snapped. "Calm down now" Jenny said "what about them?" "They think I am falling into old ways of going back and forth between them," Miracle said. "Are you?" Jenny asked "Yes... No!... I don't know" Miracle snapped. "Look girl, what you are feeling is completely normal. Johnny hurt you so much... and Robert was always there to pick up the pieces" Jenny said. "I'm not saying what you're doing is right but I understand. Believe me, if I wanted to make every man pay for what my daughters' fathers did to me, I'd be a very bitt
