If they could just find a taxi or a safe place to regroup, they could make a plan. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows-a man in a dark suit, holding a flashlight. Morgana froze, fear washing over her. "Oscar," she whispered, her voice trembling. But before they could react, the man turned away, heading back toward the vehicles. Morgana let out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding. They couldn't stop now. Finally, they broke through the treeline and onto the roadside. Morgana's heart raced as they scanned the empty road for any signs of help. The rain continued to pour, and the storm raged around them, but they couldn't let that deter them. "There! A taxi!" Morgana shouted, waving her arms frantically as a yellow car approached, its headlights cutting through the darkness. The driver slowed, eyeing them warily. "Where to?" he asked, clearly unsure about the soaked and terrified couple in front of him. "Just get us into the city!" Oscar replied, urgency lacing his words as he opened the back door for Morgana. They climbed inside, their hearts still racing as the driver hit the gas, speeding away from the scene. Morgana felt a rush of relief wash over her, but it was short-lived. Her father's fury was still fresh in her mind. "Are you two okay?" the driver asked, glancing at them in the rearview mirror. Morgana could see the concern etched on his face, and it reminded her of how vulnerable they truly were. "We will be," Morgana replied, her voice steadying as she focused on the road ahead.
